a quick tag...

Hi all!!
I hope you had a fantastic weekend!! Mine flew by faster than usual.
Saturday Ashley and I went to her BFF bridal shower we had a great time!!   I decided to give a gift card to one of the places she was registered at, that way she can get exactly what she wants, and considering she lives in Texas, it is much easier to transport back home.  I found this cute little bag at Target to put the gift card in, and whipped up a color coordinated tag for it.

Here it is all packaged up and ready to go!!

It's almost spring...

Tomorrow is the first day of spring!!  So even though the weather here in Arizona feels anything but spring like (a high of 55 degrees today), which is VERY unusual for us!!  so I made this card with my new Ali Edwards stamp set.  I love Ali's stamp sets for my Project life album (I have not even taken my new kit for this year out of the box yet, argh!!), as well as for cards.

So even though I am not feeling the springtime weather, this card makes me feel spring like!!

December...

Happy Friday!!
I am so happy the weekend is here!!!  I have SO MUCH to get done over the weekend~I'm hoping to get my naked tree decorated tonight!!

Today is gonna be quick~here is post 3 of Christmas Card week.  I have lots of scrap Christmas paper laying around on my desk from my December Daily Album (which is also behind schedule, LOL!!), I decided to use it up on my Christmas cards!!  I also used Ali Edwards 25 Moments stamp set (which I am LOVING for my DDA!!) on today's card. Have you been following Ali's DDA posts??  I LOVE her pages!!!

Christmas December

Well that is gonna do it for today~so many things to do so little time!!  I seriously cannot believe that Christmas is 9 days away!!  *yikes*

Enjoy your weekend!!!

warm happiness too and another tag...

Happy Friday Blog Friends!! How was your week?? I have really been messed up "day wise" since my 3 day weekend (last week)...plus I am working today (I usually have Friday's off, so I am still a little messed up, it feels like Thursday to me, LOL!!).

I pulled out my Warm Happiness Too stamp set and another tag and went to work; I had the twine pictured differently in my mind, but it didn't seem to work on the card ( I improvised). Sometimes I have to leave it alone and then come back and look at it with fresh eyes. I am glad I did, cause I kinda like it now ;)

My poor hubby is SLOWLY getting better, now that he is taking some medication, I have read that it can take up to 3 weeks to start feeling better (good grief!! 1 week down and 2 weeks to go *woot*). Valley Fever is no fun!!!

Well I hope you have a GREAT weekend!!! I am photographing a baby shower on Saturday and have lots of the usual stuff to do (groceries, housework, laundry)...GOOD TIMES!!

tag your it...(punny huh?)

Hi all~ my Friday post is a little late :(
It has been a little crazy around here!! I have a quick and easy card for you today~this one came together pretty quickly...I forgot that I had these tags in my stash of scrapbooking stuff and LOVE how they look on a card.

in my thoughts

Mike's is still not feeling great, his labs came back normal, but the doctor is going to treat him like he has Valley Fever, cause he has all the symptoms (and his coughing is driving me CRAZY!!)...so I am off to the Pharmacy to pick up his medication...I am hoping he starts feeling better soon, cause I have lots of "honey-do" projects saved up for him, LOL!!

Enjoy your weekend (and if you live in the US...it is a LONG Holiday weekend *woot*)

best wishes...

Hi' ya'll! I am soooo happy today is Friday (I know I say this every single week, LOL!)!! It has been a long week for me. Today post is gonna be kinda quick...

I have worked as the office manager in a doctor's office for the past 8 years, and today is the last day for one of the Doctor's in our office, he is closing his practice. I sure will miss him in the office!! I wanted to make up a little going away/thanks for being a great boss gift for him, so I filled this jar (which I purchased here), with some York Peppermint patties~yum!! I also made up a quick tag for the front of the jar with my most recent go-to stamp set/die, and made a color coordinated card for a Starbucks gift card. I left it on his desk last night~so he will get it first thing today when he comes into work. I love being secretive like that, LOL!

I will have my organization Day 3 post up a little later today (which will be posted below this post)~I would love to know if you like/dislike these types of non-stamping related posts~please drop me an email me/leave a comment.

Happy Friday!! Have a terrific weekend!!

Happy Christmas Eve!!!

I can not believe it is Christmas Eve~boy this year has really flown by!! I think I am all ready for the festivities (and if I forgot something~well, it just isn't going to get done); I am kinda doing the "go with the flow" thing this year (which has been quite interesting for me). I am currently reading this book; and I hope to simplify my life a lot more in 2011!

On Wednesday Ashley came over to "pretty" up some gifts she made for the worship team at church. Of course I was excited to help out!! She made some of this (which I absolutely LOVE~YUM!!), and packaged it up in a mason jar (don't you just love mason jars??).

christmas jar

I used my new circle Nestabilitie dies to cut a circle for the top (which was the perfect size); out of patterned paper, and used my Holiday treats stamp set (love that set!!), to make some tags for the top. Ashley picked up this cute holiday ribbon at HL, so we tied a bow around the lid (gotta have ribbon!!). I think they came out pretty cute *wink*; and since Mike has been helping out with the band, he got one...and I ate the muddy buddies already!!!

I want to wish you all, my sweet blog readers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year; from my little family!!!

the cookie party...

Happy Today!!! (a little late!!).
This weekend was a whirlwind! I was busy, busy, BUSY!!! I did however have a fun time at my church's Women's Christmas Party on Friday night, got my out of town packages wrapped and boxed up for shipping (mailed most of them today *woot*), my Christmas cards written, and had a very FUN cookie decorating party with my kiddo's and friends!

Ashley and I baked up a TON of sugar cookies on Wednesday, so they would be ready for the party on Sunday~let me just say "I ate way too much cookie dough!!! That stuff is like CRACK to me!!". Here is a photo of the delish'ousness!!!

Of course you have to have some fun sprinkles, sugar, and candy for some "fancy" decorating!!!

cookie decorating 2010_0001

Everyone got in on the fun~I was surprised that even the boys had a good time!!!

cookie decorating 2010_0035

Here is Nate singing a Christmas carol at the top of his lungs~I cannot remember what song it was for the life of me~but we all enjoyed the serenade!!

cookie decorating 2010_0050

My hubby even took a few moments out from his football game to join in the fun~Now that says a lot when his favorite team is playing!!!

cookie decorating 2010_0058

There were so many cute cookies!! It was fun to see everyone's creativity at work~here are a few or the masterpieces.

cookie decorating 2010_0071

And of course they needed a container to bring home all their creations in!! I found these cute take out boxes at the Target dollar spot, and pulled out my Holiday Treats stamp set and made a tag for each box. Then just added a cute little ornament (also from the dollar spot), and some curling ribbon~viola!

And last but not least~my favorite "little dog" Hershey came to the party too!! I shared some frosting with him...because he is so stinkin' cute!! And who can say NO to that cute face??? He and Kodi are starting to make some progress in "getting along". Hopefully by Christmas they will be best of buds!! Kodi just has to realize he is 45 pounds and Hershey is 5 (although he (Hershey) doesn't know that, LOL!! He thinks he is a big dog the way he goes after Kodi!).

Enjoy the rest of your Monday!!!

an easy peasy gift bag...

Howdy friends!
It has been a busy weekend at the Clark house!!

I am happy to report we are now the proud owners of these bad boys (pic below)!!! *woot woot* They are AWESOME!! I had planned on getting a cheaper model, but my hubby wanted me to have the best (love that guy!!). The only thing this pair does not do is fold and put away the clothes, LOL!! It has Steam clean and dry (not sure how to use that yet, but I am told it sanitizes and disinfects~which I am all over that!!), plus tons of other knobs and buttons (which I need to read the manual for). Luckily I was able to figure out regular wash and dry cycles, LOL!! So I did lots of laundry this weekend. And let me just add that when the delivery guys came to take the old ones away and install my new "friends" I was grossed out with all the dust and random things under the old machines!!! I found a few socks (not matching), a package of AA batteries, plastic forks, a roll of double stick tape, and lots of pennies (it was quite an interesting mix of items!), I would have taken a picture, but I only had about 3 min to vacuum and clean it up and I still made the guy wait until I was done~I am OCD ya know!!

new toys_0003

Today I have a easy sewing project for you!! I needed a gift bag for my friend (and Mike's assistant), Heather, who celebrated her birthday last week. I wanted something with pink because she always jokes about working in the church office with Mike and Nate, and there is nothing girly there. I was browsing in my favorite store, and came across this denim fabric bag for $2.99, and then it hit me~I could pretty this up and not break the bank!!! I used my 40% coupon on the bag (since it was the most expensive thing I bought that wasn't on sale, which made it $1.79), then I purchased some pink trim for $1.12, I already had the felt and buttons for the flowers so that was $0, so the grand total of this gift bag was $2.91 (cheaper than buying one at Hallmark!! and way cuter, IMO!). All I did was sew the trim around the top of the bag, then I stitched on the felt flower and added a button.

gift bag_0003

and Of course I had to make a matching tag :) I think the entire project took me 20 min from start to finish~EASY PEASY!!!

gift bag_0006

I filled the bag with a gift card and some of these (because they are pink). She does so much for my hubby and I just wanted to give her a pretty birthday present.

I also opened an Etsy shop over the weekend~I was amazed at how easy it was!! If you want to check out my store...I linked it to the tab on the top of my blog (I will add more cards soon).

Happy Monday!!

boss appreciation day...

Hi blog friends!!
It is sooo nice to be back to blogging with my computer!! All I can say is "she is SUPER fast now" and I LOVE IT!!! The only downfall to getting all new parts in your computer is that I lost a lot of my not so important "stuff". Luckily all my documents and photos were all intact, but my email addresses and Internet bookmarks are all adios amigos...which I really cannot complain about, because I just have to enter that stuff back in~no biggie!!!

October 16th is Boss Appreciation Day (which falls on Saturday this year~kinda crazy!!), each year I like to do something a little special for my bosses, because they are really great to work for, and really appreciate all of us in the front office. I am bringing the gifts in today, since I have Friday off (and the office is closed on Saturday, LOL!).

I found these candy dishes in the Target dollar spot and just filled them with some m&m's and a gift card...what is not to like??? Chocolate and shopping (2 of my favorite things, LOL!). Instead of cards, I decided to make a tag for the gifts and tie it all up with cello wrap (which makes everything look pretty IMO).

Im baaaack!!

Hi'ya Friends! Made it back safe and sound from my trip to CT~had a wonderful time, and even brought some yummy Woodstock apples home with me~yum!

It may take a few days for my body to get back to the correct time zone~I was dead tired last night at 7pm LOL! And can you believe I had 342 emails~that is crazy!!

Here is a quick birthday card I whipped up last week...I really love the new tag sale #1 die from PTI, and since I am on a spending freeze...I decided to be resourceful, and made my own version with my corner rounder and small circle punch.

tag your it...

I know~cheesy title (wish I was more creative in the blog title dept).

It's the halfway mark~woot woot!!! Wednesday!!

Today is gonna be a quickie, because my life just does not seem to want to slow down, just when I think there is light at the end of the tunnel~more things get added to my schedule...argh!!!

I mentioned a few posts back that this month has been crazy with birthdays. Last weekend we finally celebrated Ashley's birthday and this weekend we are going to celebrate Nate's, we also had Jess, my brother in law, and Mike's Nana (plus a week thrown in of Jamaica for the college group at church)...it has been an interesting and whirlwind July.

I put together a "pink" gift basket for Jess (her birthday was the 16th, while they were all in Jamaica), and made a birthday tag for it. It looked really cute all tied up with clear wrap and curling ribbon (can you believe I forgot to take a picture of it???). But I did remember to snap a picture of the tag for my blog.

flower tag...

Happy Friday!!!
On vacation Mondays and work Mondays the same truth holds true~It doesn't seem possible that Friday will ever arrive. The differance is on vacation Mondays, the impossiblity of Friday feels like a permanent break from the world! The week stretches out before us...surely it will never end!
While on work Mondays the impossibility of Friday feels like a permanent, respiteless immersion into the world. The week stretches out before us...surely it will never end!
But sadly and thankfully, Friday always comes.
I am sad that this week's Monday has turned into Friday!!

But I have had a great week off, working on several organizing projects and a couple of home improvement things (as I type my thumb is a nice shade of gray from car primer spray paint...more on that next week). My laundry room is taped off and ready for some paint (which will hopefully happen today), and my family room has new curtains (was going to paint but Mike talked me out of it, LOL!). The kitchen cabinets, my craft room, my closet, and our new filing cabinet are reorganized. I still have a few projects that I didn't get to, but they will be waiting for me, LOL!

We celebrated Ashley's birthday at work yesterday (we will have our usual family party when she gets back from her trip to Jamaica next week). I am usually in charge of the gifts/gift wrapping for our office (which I really enjoy). So I whipped up a quick tag to go along with her gift from us gals in the front office...of course I had to make sure it all matched *wink*

Tonight I am heading to a Diamond Back's game with my hubby (I am SO not into sports!!! Luckily I understand baseball, LOL!). It will be nice to have the evening together, and of course I am bringing my camera to keep me occupied.
Have a SUPER weekend friends!!!
