Yeah, it is finally Friday~my favorite day of the week!!! I don't have much planned (other than shopping for a larger filing cabinet~we have outgrown our little one~I live such an exciting life, huh?).
I just love to be able to get up later, have coffee with my hubby, and stay in my jammies. I think I heard that Phoenix is supposed to get rain...sounds like a good movie weekend!!! I have been wanting to see this movie, and it just came out on DVD last week.
Here is an early Mother's Day card...(another reject from a submission call), although May will be here before we know it...can you believe that it is March 1st on Monday????
Have a GLORIOUS weekend!!!

bright and cheery...
hi'ya friends...
hope you are having a terrific Wednesday...it is the half way point *woot*!!! Cannot wait for the weekend~I live for those, LOL!
I don't have a lot to say today, so lets get on with the card. I recently submitted this one for a publication, but it didn't make the cut~oh well, I still like it. Really bright, cheery and colorful.
Mike has been busy organizing all our 2009 "stuff" to get ready to file our taxes (so excited to get all that junk out of my craft space [he shares a little portion of the room with me, LOL!] !!!)...my fingers are crossed we don't have to pay in this year~a refund would be GLORIOUS!!! I am thinking positive ;)
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Turning a New Leaf/Damask Designs/Signature Greetings/Polka Dot Bkgrd (SU!) stamps; Kraft/White/Pure Poppy/New Leaf/Orange Zest/Taken w/Teal (SU!) cardstock; Fresh Snow/Choc Chip (SU!) ink; Orange Zest Bitty Dotted Ribbon; Button (unknown); Twine

plain jane...
It's Monday already...
Boy those weekends really fly by~don't they??? I finally installed this on my computer (I have had if for 2 years, in the box on my shelf)...I have been doing a lot of masking in Photoshop (for my class), and this makes it so much easier!!! I think once I get the hang of it and learn the buttons I will really like it.
Here is a quick card for today...kinda a "plain jane" not really too "froofroo-ie" (is that a word, LOL!).
Mike and I rented this movie on Saturday night...it was pretty good (chick flick)...have I mentioned how lucky I am to have a hubby who watches chick flicks with me (I think he even likes them).
Enjoy your Monday!!!
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Signature Greetings/Polka Dot Background (SU!) stamps; Ripe Avocado/Enchanted Evening/White/Kraft cardstock; Fresh Snow/Enchanted Evening ink; Enchanted Evening Double Stitched Ribbon; New leaf Button; Twine; Scallop Punch (SU!)

Friday's are FABULOUS!!!
Happy Friday all...
I am a little late in posting~got side tracked last night. So here ya go...
This is a quick and easy one~I love those *smile*!!! I just love making background paper with my stamps~and this Turning a New Leaf set is awesome for doing just that.
Some randomness...
I was trying to photograph my card this morning for my post, and 2 of my 3 cats (yes CRAZY cat lady here), were enjoying my make shift soft light box. When Peter finally got out of the box, I set up my card again, and Dewey had to investigate~Don't you just love kitties, LOL!!! They are so curious!!! And as I type this Kitty is sitting almost on top of the keyboard~right in front of me.
And here are the pictures from Mike's birthday celebration last week, if you wanna see, just click here.
Enjoy your weekend!!!
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Turning a New Leaf/Signature Greetings stamp sets; Kraft/Lemon Tart/White/Taken with Teal (SU!) cardstock; Fresh Snow/Taken with Teal (SU!) ink; Lemon Tart Grosgrain Ribbon; Edge Punch (Martha Stewart); Corner Rounder Punch (SU!); White Button; Twine; Nestabilities Oval /Scallop Oval Dies

Let's Party...
Happy Middle of The Week !!!
I don't know about you, but my week has been going so SLOW!!! Probably because I have so many things on my to-do list. Sometimes I feel like a hamster running in a wheel!!
Here is the card I made Mike for his birthday~Can you believe I didn't even add ribbon (it was hard), of course I had to add a button, LOL!
I pulled out a really old SU! stamp set for this one (I think it may have even been a hostess set, way back when), called Let's Party, which I do use often. I really need some masculine stamp sets (but I always end up buying flowers, LOL!). Maybe my next PTI order I will have to break down and get a boy-ish set.
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Let's Party (SU!) stamp set; Kraft/Tangerine/New Leaf/White/Pure Poppy/Dark Chocolate/Tempting Turquoise (SU!) cardstock; New Leaf/Pure Poppy/Tempting Turquoise (SU!)/Tangerine ink; Square Punches (SU!); Edge Punch (Fiskars); Pure Poppy Button; Twine
I am plugging away at my color correction course, and learning so much!!! Thought I would post a side by side of a sooc (straight out of the camera), and my color corrected image (I am only a quarter of the way done, so there is still lots to learn). I highly recommend the class if you want to learn how to identify color problems in your photos and edit/color correct in Photoshop!!!

Happy Monday Friends...Do you have the day off today?? Unfortunately I do not (but my hubs does~lucky him!!!). Maybe he will surprise me for lunch!!
Did you have a nice Valentine's Day?? We celebrated Mike's Birthday with the fam, so it was a fun day ;) I took lots of pictures, but I did not have time to edit them last night, so I will post them sometime this week (most likely on my 365 blog).

Valentine's Day Treats...
Happy TGIF friends!!!
Are you ready for Valentine's Day? It snuck up on my this year~and being sick this week didn't help matters. So last night I whipped up some quick treat bags for the office. I have always enjoyed Valentine's Day, and have great memories of making cards/gifts with Ashley and Josh (when they were younger) for their classes. I had fun assembling these *smile*
I picked up the bags at Target and just filled them with some of my favorite candy...then added a quick 3x3 card and viola'!
Do you have anything fun and exciting planned for {heart} day? My hubby's birthday was yesterday~so we are going to have his party this weekend~GOOD Times!!! (I will take pic's, or course!).
Have a Happy Heart Day!!!

amour...
Hi friends,
I hope your week is off to a great start! Today is going to be quick, because I have not been feeling great~I was out sick yesterday with the stomach flu (not fun!!), and still have a lingering headache, so my recreational computer time has been little to none :(
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and sort of snuck up on me...so here is a quick Heart Day card. I used my Nestabilities square die to make the cut out in the front of the card, then popped it up with some pop dots for extra dimension.
Enjoy Today!
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Mon Ami (SU!)/Mixed Messages stamp sets; Kraft/Hibiscus/Dark Chocolate/White cardstock; Hibiscus/Choc Chip (SU!) ink; Satin Dotted Dark Chocolate Ribbon; Vintage Button Raspberry Fizz; Twine; Scallop Edge Punch (SU!); Square nestabilities Die

damask birthday and WW...
Hi all, Happy Monday!!!
Did you watch the Superbowl??? The only part I watched was half time...and have to say I LOVE The Who!!! They were awesome!
I was busy stamping during the game...while Mike watched~perfect Sunday afternoon, IMO!!! I decided to make a few birthday cards, because they are nice to have on hand (my kids depleted my stash...that is one good thing when your mom stamps~free cards for your friends, LOL!).
I am a big fan of WW!!! I LOVE the program, seriously, best one out there IMO. Back in 2006 I joined after my friend Cindy told me about it. I have never had a weight problem (I was one of those annoying people that could eat whatever I wanted), but after some stressful situations, and Ashley moving away to college (across the US), Nestle Cookie dough was my best friend!!! I would eat it from the tube with a spoon~so delish!!! Well, long story short...I put on over 30 pounds and one day woke up and wondered "why I needed bigger pants" and "what the heck happened." I joined WW and lost over 35 pounds and reached my goal, but never made it to Lifetime member. Fast forward to 2009 after a year (2008) of planning a wedding for Ashley and Nate, working full time, Mike losing his job, and some other random stuff...I had gotten out of my WW routine. Ashley and I joined together before Thanksgiving, and I am happy to report that I made it to Lifetime member on Friday *woot*. I am glad that I finally achieved that goal~ and since this time around I only had 6-7 pounds to lose...it was a lot faster to get to my goal~I just feel like WW gave me my life back and my skinny clothes!!! I {HEART} WW!!!
Enjoy Today!!
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Damask Designs/Paper Tray stamps; Kraft/Dark Chocolate/White cardstock; Melon Berry/Choc Chip (SU!) ink; Ripe Avocado Double Stitched Ribbon; Berry Sorbet Button; Twine; Scallop Edge/Oval Punchs (SU!)

supplies used (PTI unless noted): Damask Designs/Signature Greetings stamp sets; Kraft/White/Choc Chip (SU!)/Berry Sorbet cardstock; Choc Chip (SU!)/Fresh Snow ink; Scallop Edge Punch (SU!); Berry Sorbet Button; Twine

blessing to me....
Hi Peeps!
Hope your week is off to a great start!!! I started my Photoshop course on Monday and have to say~I think I am gonna learn LOTS!!! It starts off with the basics, and I thought "great, I already know this stuff", but I have been learning new stuff along the way (I just love learning new things~especially if they make your life a lot easier!!!
I got inspired again by Maile Belles...I really like her stamping style!!! She was just added to the design team at PTI (how awesome is that!!!), so I am sure I will be inspired even more by her designs.
Happy Wednesday!!!

like you a latte...
Happy February Friends...
Hope your weekend was fabulous! Mike and I never did make it to the movies...but we did buy a Pay Per View movie Saturday night. We watched this, it was OK...I had heard pretty good reviews, but IMO it was pretty slow and boring. Glad we only paid $5.99 to see it, LOL!
I finished my editing session and will post a link to my Flickr set, in a day or two (after the recipient receives their images), and you can see what has been keeping me so busy the past few weeks. I was so thrilled to finally play in my craft room without photo editing hanging over my head, LOL! Check out my mess from Saturday afternoon.
I start my Phaunt U class today~and I am super excited!!! I just love learning new stuff for Photoshop CS4. I am sure I will ramble about it over the next few weeks :)
Enough rambling for today, huh? I whipped up this little cutie with one of my favorite sets Warm Happiness (from PTI of course). A really quick and simple card.
Enjoy today!
Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Warm Happiness/Coffee Cafe (The Paper Company); Dark Chocolate/White cardstock; Raspberry Fizz/Fresh Snow/Choc Chip (SU!) ink; Cutie Pie Designer Paper (retired SU!); Raspberry Fizz Grosgrain Ribbon; Dark Chocolate Vintage Button; Twine
