Digital Project Life Wednesday {week 13}...

I hope you are having a great week.  I am so ready for the weekend to be here, LOL!!

I have been wanting to incorporate more everyday random stuff into my PL pages, and I am happy to report, that I am making that happen!!  Here is my layout from March 24-30th.  I was a little nervous about how it would come together, but it was really pretty easy.  I know I have said this so many times, but I LOVE that PL is so flexible.

Project Life Wednesday {the birthday boy}...

Hi all,
Last week I bought the Midnight Edition for my PL pages, so of course I had to give it a try for my most recent layout.  Here is Mike's birthday scrapped.

I have been taking more photos and will hopefully implement them into my 2013 album. I really like the random everyday stuff too.

I was thinking about playing along with this Photo Challenge...I think it will help spark some photo creativity!!  Wanna play along???

Here is a lay out of my hubby getting his Master's Degree in Management this past June~SO proud of him!!

{Project Life} Christmas Scrapped...

Hi all!
I sure hope you are not getting tired of seeing my Christmas photos!! I am trying to get caught up on my Project Life album, so I can start my 2013 Edition. I am trying to decide how much I want to do with my PL album this year.  I don't think I have enough exciting stuff going on to do a week by week spread, but I am def hoping to take more photos than I did in 2012!! It was a crazy year for me, adjusting to my new job/schedule. I think I am finally getting it figured out!!

Are you doing Project Life this year??
I LOVE that you can make it exactly what you want!!

And I must have been on a roll, because I just realized that I am short a page, because I decide to add this full size page of our family~but like I said earlier!! You can make it what ever you want!!   I am going to add it to a page protector by itself, since I probably won't make another page to make it a traditional  2-page spread.

Flexibility gotta love it!!

I am working on linking up my supplies in the future if you are interested?!

I get a lot of free stuff on Pinterest!!

helloooooo.....is anyone there???

I cannot believe how long I have neglected the ol' blog!!  Was it really August since I posted last???  YIKES!!  Things have just been busy around here.

I was talking to my mom on the phone last week and she said "I miss your blog posts."  So...I am going to try to get back into the blogging mojo!

Since today was November 1st (am I the only one in shock over that??), my computer desktop calendar needed to be updated.  I usually grab the one from Shabby Miss Jenn, but it wasn't in her store yet.  So instead I downloaded THIS one.

I haven't only been neglecting my blog...my camera hasn't been feeling the love either.  Since I didn't have any updated photos of my family.  November is dedicated to Kodi!! It seriously makes me smile, just looking at my computer~He is such a crazy dog!!

August desktop...

Happy Wednesday Friends!
Things are still crazy around here, but I wanted to pop in with a link, and to share my August Desktop calendar.

Download Shabby Miss Jenn's August Desktop for free...HERE.

I use SMJ's calendars for my home/work desktop EVERY month!!  I love her designs and it is so easy to just drop your photo behind the image (in a photo editing program) and save to your desktop!!  EASY PEASY!

This picture was taken on Father's Day, 3 of my FAVORITE peeps!!

plugging away at my project life pages...

I hope you are enjoying your weekend!!  Here in the US, today is Memorial DayThank you to all the men and women (and their families) who sacrifice so much to keep us safe!!

Mike and I have been enjoying a laid back weekend.  Last night we watched The Vow, today Ashley and Nate will come over for a very casual cookout, and later  I hope to get some more of my Project Life pages completed.  I did get my Easter page scrapped late Saturday night.  I had forgotten that on Easter Sunday I was starting to come down with a cold, and didn't feel that great, which probably explains the lack of photos, LOL!!

Sorry to all of my stamping, card making peeps who stop by my blog for cards and stamping goodness...right now I am on a scrap-booking kick.  I hope you don't mind checking out my PL pages.  I just need a little break from stamping, hopefully it will give me time to get my creative juices flowing again!!

{project life} birthday party games...

I have been in the scrapping mood lately, so I decided to take advantage of it!!  Here is one of the pages from Josh's Birthday party last weekend.  I am really liking the digi version of project life~it just seems a lot easier for me to sit at the computer and have my scrapping stuff all over the computer desktop instead of my dining room table.

December Desktop...

Hi all,
Popping in with a very quick post tonight~I have been busy, busy, BUSY all day today.  I am trying to get all my "ducks in a row" before I start my new job on Monday.  I had a few moments to make a quick computer desktop for December, with Shabby Miss Jenn's free download.  You can find the FREE template HERE.  All you have to do is open the file (as well as a photo you would like to use) in a photo editing program, like Photoshop, then drag your photo under the desktop layer, adjust the photo, and save as your desktop~very easy peasy!!

I am off to get into my Jammie's and watch TV on the sofa with my hubs & Kodi.  Have a FABULOUS weekend!!!

sketch challenge & february desktop...

Hi blog friends!!
Today is gonna be another "quickie" post! I had a few moments on Saturday morning to stamp a couple of cards, so I decided to play along with the current Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge. I haven't played along in a while~so it was fun to get back into it. I really do like this layout, and will probably use it again. It is perfect if you need to make a lot of cards, because it goes together really quickly.

praying for you

I also downloaded the free desktop calendar from Shabby Miss Jenn (love her stuff!!). You can get yours here. You do need a photo editing program to complete it (I edited mine just a bit to fit my photos. I use Photoshop CS4, but you can use Picasa for FREE)~just drag your photo layers under the calendar layer, resize them if needed and viola!!. Here is mine~with my two favorite kiddos!!

Enjoy your Monday Friends!!

I'm planning a cookie decorating party...

Hi all!
Hope you had a FABULOUS weekend!!

I didn't get much cleaning done, but I am pretty much done with my Christmas Shopping~*woot woot* All I have left is to pick up is gift cards (one of my favorite types of gifts to give and get!!).
I have today off from work today *another woot woot* since I am trying to use up my hoarded vacation time. One of my goals today...to get my naked tree decorated.

Each year Ashley and I (and the boys, if they are in the mood) decorate a gingerbread house/make cookies; when they were little, Ashley and Josh LOVED decorating cookies (the more sprinkles the better)!! I thought it would be fun to have a "cookie decorating party" this year for Ashley & Josh and a few of their friends (plus it will give me another page in my DDA, LOL!). So on Saturday night I put together a little invite for them to give to 3 of their friends (Lindsay~wish you were going to be in AZ to join us!!!). It was fun to use my digi supplies!! I think I am going to try to do more scrapping in 2011 (I kinda miss it!!). I used the kit "Deck the Halls" (purchased from Digichick in 2009) I couldn't find the same kit I have, but the mini one is here.

Here is my finished invite. You can download one here if you'd like, just bring it into photoshop to add your info, or hand write it in.

I have lots of fun ideas in store for my cookie decorators next Sunday :)

Of course pic's will follow!!

Have a Splendid day!!

without futhur adieu...

I have been a long time follower of Ali Edwards (LOVE HER!!), she is a scrapbooking genius IMO!! I love how she puts her pages/journaling/transparencies all together to tell a wonderful story of daily LIFE!! I have been drooling over her December Daily Album (DDA) this year, and was contemplating if I should take on this task...isn't December already hectic enough without adding more pressure??? But since I love scrapbooking (my first love, before stamping), and I LOVE photos; I bit the bullet and purchased her templates. Of course I wanted to make my book just like hers...but everything was pretty much SOLD OUT (darn all those DDA participants!!), so I figured I would use my creativity and use Ali's book as a template (much more fun that way too!!), so off to Joann's, Michael's and Hobby Lobby I went gathering supplies (how fun!). My next thought was "will I have enough stuff to scrap about???" since my kids are young adults now...but the creative juices started flowing and I think I will be ok *wink* I have never scrapped pages first and then added photos/journaling, so this was a new concept for me to get my head around (I think I will like it though!!). Even though I am pretty busy with work, church, Christmas shopping, etc. I am keeping a small notebook handy to jot down my thoughts for each particular day; that way if I don't have time to get the day scrapped right away, it is no big deal! I may end up scrapping the entire book at once~but that is ok~I am letting myself go with the flow!!!

I am excited that I will have December 2010 documented for my family!!! I may just make this a Clark tradition ;) It's not too late to start one~will you join me in being a family storyteller???

Here are pages 1 thru 5 (lots of pic's!!):

pg 1a

pg 1b

pg 2a

pg 2b

pg 3a

pg 3b

pg 4a

pg 4b

pg 5a

pg 5b

I still have not decided if I am going to use an album or make my own cover like Ali. I do like the fact that each of her templates have lots of space for journaling, photos, or both. I plan on doing a mixture of digital and paper scrapping (hybrid scrapping)...I will post more as I plug away at it :)

Have a super weekend!!!

it's November...

it's Monday.....
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! I am happy to report I got all the stuff put back (and organized) into the closets (remember this post), and was happy to donate/throw away some things too!
I also tried to stay off the computer this weekend, because it is amazing at how distracted I get and then don't get my stuff done~can you believe I had a VERY productive weekend, LOL!!! I think I may have to incorporate that rule for myself on Saturdays *wink*.
I have a few non stamping craft projects to share with you~but they are not blog ready yet. They are pretty easy, and one involves spray paint (my new addiction), need I say more?
I don't know about you, but I cannot believe it is already November!!! Christmas is right around the corner people (insert crazy face here)!!!! Have you started your shopping? It would be so nice if $$ wasn't an issue, right!? LOL!!! I have been eyeing this online class, but not sure I want to spend the $$, but it really intrigues me!! I signed up for the free lesson to see what it is all about.

And since it is November, I downloaded my FREE desktop calendar from SMJ :)
grab yours here!

Check back this week for some stamping goodness and my craft projects :)

Have a SUPER day!!

a little tardy today...

Howdy all...
Can you believe today is September 1st?? This year is flying by (seriously, it will be December in 3 months~YIKES)!!!

Today's card post is going to be a little late~I was tired when I got home from FPU last night, and decided to let myself "off the hook" with photographing/editing/uploading my card for today...so since I get out of work a little early today (around 1pm) whoot whoot!!~make sure you come back later for my post *smile*

So in the mean time~I thought I would upload my September desktop digi calendar. You can download one for free here (you do need an editing software to add your photo). I love Shabby Miss Jenn's digi scrapbook kits and digi calendars (I download them (the free calendars) each month for my computer desktop, I also email them to my mom and Mike, although he (Mike) thinks they are a little too "girly" for his work computer, LOL!).

september 2

*ETA I thought it might be helpful to put up a quick video on how to assemble your desktop in Photoshop (I am using CS4~just remember to have your photo at the very bottom of the layer stack which is to the right of the work space)*
Just click on the link below!

See ya back here a little later with a card ;)
