helloooooo.....is anyone there???

I cannot believe how long I have neglected the ol' blog!!  Was it really August since I posted last???  YIKES!!  Things have just been busy around here.

I was talking to my mom on the phone last week and she said "I miss your blog posts."  So...I am going to try to get back into the blogging mojo!

Since today was November 1st (am I the only one in shock over that??), my computer desktop calendar needed to be updated.  I usually grab the one from Shabby Miss Jenn, but it wasn't in her store yet.  So instead I downloaded THIS one.

I haven't only been neglecting my blog...my camera hasn't been feeling the love either.  Since I didn't have any updated photos of my family.  November is dedicated to Kodi!! It seriously makes me smile, just looking at my computer~He is such a crazy dog!!

Enjoy Today!!!

Things are still crazy around here, but I wanted to pop in with a link, and to share my August Desktop calendar.

Download Shabby Miss Jenn's August Desktop for free...HERE.

I use SMJ's calendars for my home/work desktop EVERY month!!  I love her designs and it is so easy to just drop your photo behind the image (in a photo editing program) and save to your desktop!!  EASY PEASY!

This picture was taken on Father's Day, 3 of my FAVORITE peeps!!

December Desktop...

Hi all,
Popping in with a very quick post tonight~I have been busy, busy, BUSY all day today.  I am trying to get all my "ducks in a row" before I start my new job on Monday.  I had a few moments to make a quick computer desktop for December, with Shabby Miss Jenn's free download.  You can find the FREE template HERE.  All you have to do is open the file (as well as a photo you would like to use) in a photo editing program, like Photoshop, then drag your photo under the desktop layer, adjust the photo, and save as your desktop~very easy peasy!!

sketch challenge & february desktop...

Hi blog friends!!
Today is gonna be another "quickie" post! I had a few moments on Saturday morning to stamp a couple of cards, so I decided to play along with the current Clean & Simple Sketch Challenge. I haven't played along in a while~so it was fun to get back into it. I really do like this layout, and will probably use it again. It is perfect if you need to make a lot of cards, because it goes together really quickly.

praying for you

I also downloaded the free desktop calendar from Shabby Miss Jenn (love her stuff!!). You can get yours here. You do need a photo editing program to complete it (I edited mine just a bit to fit my photos. I use Photoshop CS4, but you can use Picasa for FREE)~just drag your photo layers under the calendar layer, resize them if needed and viola!!. Here is mine~with my two favorite kiddos!!

Enjoy your Monday Friends!!

it's November...

it's Monday.....
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!! I am happy to report I got all the stuff put back (and organized) into the closets (remember this post), and was happy to donate/throw away some things too!
I also tried to stay off the computer this weekend, because it is amazing at how distracted I get and then don't get my stuff done~can you believe I had a VERY productive weekend, LOL!!! I think I may have to incorporate that rule for myself on Saturdays *wink*.
I have a few non stamping craft projects to share with you~but they are not blog ready yet. They are pretty easy, and one involves spray paint (my new addiction), need I say more?
I don't know about you, but I cannot believe it is already November!!! Christmas is right around the corner people (insert crazy face here)!!!! Have you started your shopping? It would be so nice if $$ wasn't an issue, right!? LOL!!! I have been eyeing this online class, but not sure I want to spend the $$, but it really intrigues me!! I signed up for the free lesson to see what it is all about.

And since it is November, I downloaded my FREE desktop calendar from SMJ :)
grab yours here!

a little tardy today...

Howdy all...
Can you believe today is September 1st?? This year is flying by (seriously, it will be December in 3 months~YIKES)!!!

Today's card post is going to be a little late~I was tired when I got home from FPU last night, and decided to let myself "off the hook" with photographing/editing/uploading my card for today...so since I get out of work a little early today (around 1pm) whoot whoot!!~make sure you come back later for my post *smile*

So in the mean time~I thought I would upload my September desktop digi calendar. You can download one for free here (you do need an editing software to add your photo). I love Shabby Miss Jenn's digi scrapbook kits and digi calendars (I download them (the free calendars) each month for my computer desktop, I also email them to my mom and Mike, although he (Mike) thinks they are a little too "girly" for his work computer, LOL!).

september 2

*ETA I thought it might be helpful to put up a quick video on how to assemble your desktop in Photoshop (I am using CS4~just remember to have your photo at the very bottom of the layer stack which is to the right of the work space)*
Just click on the link below!

If you are interested in what template I used...you can purcase it here, they are really fun and easy and make a nice addition to your desk :)

I am so ready to get the rest of my photo sessions edited so I have some time to start digi scrapping again (that was my one New Year's resolution...and I am already falling behind).

here comes Santa Claus....

Happy Monday blog friends!!! Are you getting your Christmas duties completed? This year I have to admit, I haven't really been stressing too much (it is early though, LOL!). I think I am pretty much done with my shopping (but I am usually running out for random stuff right up until the last minute). Today is my last day off (used up my hoarded vacation days finally), until the holidays...so I am hoping to get all my out of town stuff wrapped and shipped and then spend some time in my craft room for some crafty projects...I need some stamp time!!!

I have been playing with my Holiday Button Bits stamp set a lot (just a warning, LOL!), since I will have to put it away in a couple of weeks...until next Christmas.

This Santa was so fun to put together (paper pieced)!! I also LOVE PTI's white cardstock for coloring!!! It is a lot heavier than SU!'s white cardstock, so it holds up really well to markers.
HBB santa

Last night Ashley and I put together our annual ginger bread house...it used to be a family project, but for the past two years us girls have been carrying on the tradition~we had fun!!! I will have pic's soon...so check out my 365 blog in a couple of days *smile*

Enjoy today!!!

Supplies used (PTI unless noted): Holiday Button Bits stamp set; White/Pure Poppy/Ripe Avocado/Basic Black (SU!) cardstock; Black ink; Real Red/Old Olive/Blush Blossom stampin write marker (SU!); Black Dotted Satin Ribbon; Scallop Edge Punch (SU!); Cuttlebug embossing folder; Holiday Vintage Button; Twine

HB to Josh and my digi desktop calendar...

Happy Friday!!!

Yes...the weekend is finally here...yeah!! Here is my last digi post this week. Since Mother's Day is this Sunday I thought I would post my digi desktop (highlighting the mother's day kit and a picture of me and Josh, who's birthday is right near/on Mother's Day). You can grab one here for free. I really love the colors and elements from this kit...so of course I ended up buying it, LOL!

I told Ashley and Josh that for Mother's Day I wanted a photo shoot with the two of them...I realized that I don't have any recent pictures of them together...we will see how that photo shoot goes...maybe I will even get to scrap with my new kit.

We are celebrating Josh's 20th birthday this weekend (5/9)...I cannot believe that my favorite son is no longer a teenager~*gasp*!!!!! I am just glad that I am not aging*wink* Here is a picture of the cutie.

Happy Birthday Josh~ie!!!!!!

Enjoy today and have an Awesome weekend!!!

digi desktop...

Hi all!
I had a few hours to myself last night and actually did some digi scrapping (it has been a long time!). Once I dusted the cobwebs from my brain...I was scrapping away. I didn't quite finish my layout (will post it next week), but thought I would post my March Digi Desktop, even though the month is almost over-YIKES
(so easy! Just drag and drop in Photoshop-hey that rhymes, LOL!).
You can grab yours here and check out this free digi kit (gotta love FREE!).
Enjoy today!!!

I'm still here!!!

Hi all,

I have been sick for the past few days...I think I am finally on the mend!!! What a good feeling that is. I was really getting sick of being sick!!! Now my poor hubby has it. Yesterday I was feeling about 75% better, so I was cleaning and disinfecting like a mad woman!!!

I have not stamped in several days, and hope to get into my stamp room today!!! I do have a few more calendar pages that I digi scrapped a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I would post those:)
Have a good one!!!!

digi cd calendar...

Hi all...
I am excited to have today off...whoo hoo!!!! I decided to take a long weekend, since Mike and my anniversary was on Sunday (the weekends are really busy for him being a pastor and all). So we are going to spend the day together, which will be nice.
This weekend I did some digi scrapping (which I have not done in a long time!!!). It was a little rusty in the beginning, but once I got started I was having so much fun!!! (I have the sore neck to prove it).
I purchased these 2009 CD Case Calendar Templates from Janet Phillips (who has started a great website called the Daily Digi, btw...check it out!), she just recently closed her store over at Scrapbook Graphics (so sad about that!!!). I have purchased so many of her templates and I am really gonna miss them!!!!
I realized that January is almost over, so I needed to get working on them. I finished up until the month of August. I think they will make a nice addition to my desk at home and work. That is one thing I love about digi scrapping, you can print as many copies as you'd like. I hope to get them printed today, and bring them to work on Tuesday.
It was really fun going through pictures, but I always have a hard time just choosing one, LOL!
Have a Terrific Day, and thanks for visiting my blog!!!
