good bye 2008...

Happy TGIW (I have 5 days off starting today...ahhh!). I could get used to these 2 day work weeks, LOL! Are you doing something fun tonight? Mike and I will probably get take out an a movie (don't we sound like real party animals?).

I hope to take the tree down today or tomorrow (un-decorating is so not fun!!!), finish my huge pile of ironing, and hopefully stamp (still have lots of thank you cards to make), make a trip to Costco, and maybe clean the bathrooms (if I feel like it).

I really like today's card...I cased this one from Nancy R @ iStamp who is an awesome stamper I might add! I just loved this color combo (anything with choc chip is a winner in my book!!!). I didn't have the stamp set she used so I made due with the set "A Little Birdie".

Have a safe and Happy New Year's Eve!!!! See you next year!

my Christmas pic's and a masculine card...

Happy Tuesday!
I hope you all had a great Monday! Yesterday it was 70 degrees here, so Mike and I went for a walk when I got home from work (I am trying to get back into my regular routine-IT'S HARD! I have been slacking!). That is where the New Year's resolutions come in...right? I am trying to get a head start, lol!

I needed a few masculine thank you cards (which is always a hard for me), I tried not to fluff it up too much...but I HAD to add some ribbon!!!! I am still trying to use up my patterned paper (remember I have a hoarding problem). It is a pretty simple card...you know less is more!
I also made a quick story board last night of some of my favorite Christmas pictures (I took a ton!!!). Thought I would post our fun Christmas! As you can see, my kids are pretty much trained to open a present... then pose for mom (mamarazzi), I am teaching Nate and Sharon too, LOL!
And check out my hubby middle left...He was really excited about this gift (some sort of Patriots DVD from my mom), there was a Fat Head included (which really got him excited...too bad it was only 6 inches x 6 inches...too funny!)...and mom, that gift card went toward my new lens *happy face*

Have a fantastic day!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Supplies used (SU! unless noted): True Friend stamp set; Wild Wasabi/Natural Vanilla/Really Rust cardstock; Really Rust ink; Apple Cider Designer Paper; Square punches; Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon

back to reality...

Hi all! I hope you had a great Christmas! I cannot believe that 5 days off just flew by...back to work today (but I only have a 2 day work week, so I cannot complain, right?).

I have lots of Christmas pictures to share this week (just giving you a warning, lol!). Ashley got one of these and let me just say, I am still recuperating from it, lol! my arms are killing me!!!

My arms hurt so bad that I wasn't able to stamp on Saturday...can you believe it???? I have several thank you cards to make this week, so it will be a week or two of thank you cards.

Santa was pretty good to me *smile* I have a new lens on the way (excited to get that package!!!) and an external flash (which I used Christmas morning, since Josh and Nate were up at 6am and it was still pretty dark), some Papertrey goodies that I purchased with one of my gift cards *happy face*, and a docking station for my iPod (so nice to rock out while I am crafting).

Enjoy today and thanks for visiting!!!!

Merry Christmas!

Hi Friends...
Happy Tuesday...(really Friday for me). Today is my last day of work before the holiday...YIPPEE!!! We have our office Christmas lunch today, which is always a good time!!! The celebrating has officially begun!

Well I anticipate the next few days to be pretty busy around here...so I am taking a little break from the blog to finish my Christmas preparations. I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and I will see you back here in a few days with some digi scraping, papercrafting and lots of pictures, I'm sure.

Oh yeah...Yesterday I had 23 new subscribers to my blog...I was really surprised to get all those email notifications...Welcome!!!

Merry Christmas from the Clark Family!!!!

gingerbread house '08

Happy Monday! (3 days until Christmas!!!!)
I hope you all had a productive weekend...I am pretty much all set for Christmas minus my grocery shopping (YUCK!!!), which I hope to tackle today on my way home from work (after a dentist appointment...blah!) two of my least favorite things back to back.

Yesterday Mike was having some guy "football" time with some friends, Josh was sick with a cold and taking a nap, so Ashley and I decided to make our annual gingerbread house by ourselves...not as much fun as last year when everyone was involved, but we had fun anyway! Nate took a moment from the game to pose in one of the pictures (I think he was upset that he couldn't eat the candy, lol! not sure why he is making that face).
And as you can see from the photos...the frosting was really YUMMY!

Thanks for visiting!!! Enjoy today!

gift card purse...

Happy Friday (6 days to Christmas!!!).
I hope you are all ready for Christmas. I think I am just about done in the gift area, just few little stocking items to pick up here and there, I am so glad I don't have to hit the crowded stores for mega shopping...that stresses me out!

For today's post...I copied this little purse gift card holder (so cute!) from Debbie Olsen, whose blog I visit daily I might add. She is such a talented crafter!!! I love her creations. Here is the link to her template...I added a handle to mine with some PTI Pure Poppy grosgrain ribbon. I used a velcro fastener to keep it closed. It was pretty easy to assemble, and don't you think it is a cute way to present a gift card?

I also got an exciting email yesterday when I arrived home from work...4 of my cards were selected for the June 09 publication of Papercrafts Magazine. I was pretty excited!!!!

Okay...busy day today...I hope to get my bathrooms

cleaned, finish wrapping presents and then make some
appetizers for the Youth Group Progressive dinner tonight...should be fun!!!

Thanks for visiting!!!! Have a Wonderful Weekend!

rudolph wishes...

Hi all...
I won't bore you with my hectic schedule yesterday...Isn't it the most wonderful time of year? LOL!!! With my crazy day...I did managed to make it into the stamp room *hooray* to make a few Christmas cards. Sorry to keep using the same stamp set...but I didn't realize that I sold almost all of my Christmas sets this past summer (I definitely have to order some more before next Christmas!). I don't think I have ever inked up this deer stamp in this set, so it was about time to introduce him to the ink pad! I added a red brad to his nose, and I think he looks pretty darn cute as Rudolph...what do you think?

I think I am just about finished with my Christmas shopping, and I hope to get the majority of it wrapped tonight *fingers crossed*, since we are hosting the appetizer part of a progressive dinner for our church youth group on Friday...should be fun!

I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

merry & bright

Happy Wednesday! Can you believe that one week from today is Christmas Eve???? Whoa!!!! I am so not ready.

So with that being said...quick post for today. I have the day off (yeah!), I am trying to use up some of my vacation time (good thing I saved it up, lol!). I have lots of Christmas stuff to get done...I might have to enlist my hubby to help out in the wrapping department.

I made another card with my Merry & Bright set. I really like the tree in this set, so cute! Of course I had to add some stickles to give them some bling! Okay...off to tackle my to-do list!

Enjoy Today!!

be merry...

Whew! I don't know where my day went yesterday...I had so many plans and didn't seem to get it all done (my usual unrealistic expectations again). I did get all my out of state gifts wrapped and packaged so Mike can take them to the UPS store (glad I pawned that off on him, lol!).

I didn't even make it into my stamp room (BUMMER!), but I did clean off my table so I could photograph the cards I made on Saturday...so I could have something to post today *smile*

I realized a few days ago that I don't have many Christmas stamp sets...I sold a lot of my sets over the summer thinking I would replace them with something new and exciting... but unfortunately, Christmas really snuck up in me this year, so I just had to use what I had. I used my Merry & Bright set from SU! I just love snowmen, and the one from this set is pretty cute. I also used some of my hoarded Designer Paper from last year (also from SU!), and a button from my stash.
And I wanted to post this picture of Pete...my kitty, because I thought it was cute.

Okay I am off to work...Enjoy your day!

senior pic's/cd case...

I hope you had a terrific weekend...mine was busy, busy, BUSY! Don't you just love this time of year, lol! I did get several things accomplished and I am about 80% done with my Christmas Shopping...now just to wrap it.

I had a few hours in my craft room on Saturday (*happy face*), so I do have some Christmas stuff to post this week, just need to sweep/clean off my desk to photograph it...looks like a tornado hit.
A few weeks ago, Josh took Sharon's senior portraits (he is quite the photographer, *proud mom*), I did some editing and cropping for him, then burned them to a cd for Sharon. Of course I had to make a cd case to present them to her (you know what they say...it's all in the presentation). Since her favorite color is green...I went with some Wild Wasabi cardstock and ribbon and just printed one
of the pictures in black and white to adhere to the top. Isn't she a cutie?

Here is one of my favorites (although it was really hard to pick).

Today I am off from work (trying to use up some of my extra vacation days...cannot believe I have 6 left). I hope to gets lots done and maybe even some stamping (fingers crossed). Then to the post office (arghhh!) to mail some packages to CT.

Enjoy today!

birthday for a friend...

Another quick post for today...

I am so ready for the weekend!!! How about you? My goal today is to get my Christmas cards in the mail! Then hopefully Ashley and I are going to the mall to finish our shopping for our out of state family. Then I can mail those packages on Monday. Where is the time going? Can you believe that Monday is the 15th...which means Christmas in 10 days away...yikes!!!

Today's card is one I made for a friend who celebrated her birthday on 12/8 (Hi Cindy). I used my PTI Women of Life set (which in another fav of mine).

Okay off to get my envelopes stuffed, addressed and stamped and out of my hands.

Enjoy your weekend!

thursday ramblings...

Happy Thursday...
I was busy all day yesterday with Ashley, we had a fun time together. She needed a Christmas tree, so we looked at a few places and ended up at Joann's (if you are in the market for an artificial tree, they are 50% off this week). She scored with a tree and ornaments for under $60. We then went to JCPenney (since I found an old gift card in my wallet the other day...I like to hoard my gift cards...I know it is a problem...but it was a nice surprise *smile*), and they were having a door-buster sale...I love a SALE!!!!! I also had a coupon for $10 off any purchase of $10 or more, a $20 gift card...I came out of there with 2 sweaters and a necklace and only had to kick in $6~AWESOME! I did also get a few items on my Christmas list...so I felt pretty productive.

I needed a sympathy card this week for someone at church who lost her mother. I really do not enjoy making sympathy cards! For this one I used some iridescent ice embossing powder to emboss the flower image on black paper...it is prettier irl!

I was thrilled to get some happy mail yesterday!!!! I ordered a few books from some of Amazon's used book sellers and scored big!!!! I paid $1.99 for 2 of the books and $4.99 for the other! I cannot wait to have some free time to flip through them.

Enjoy today!

a happy anniversary card...

hi all...
a quick post today...here is a card I made for my brother and sister-in-law who are celebrating their anniversary on 12/11 (* Happy Anniversary Tim & Dawn!!!!*). Used my SU! Always set for this one (love the heart in this set), and I pulled out one of my retired background stamps (I think it is called hearts and swirls), I haven't used a background stamp in a while...forgot how much I like them.
Last night was our women's Christmas party at church...thanks Cindy! I had a great time visiting with friends and meeting some new ones...I think it was just the thing to get me in the Christmas Spirit...now I have some serious shopping to complete, cards and packages to mail and gifts to wrap. I hope to get it all done by next weekend...not sure if I have unrealistic goals, but I am sure gonna try (and hopefully not stress!). Are you done with Christmas shopping yet?
Enjoy your day!

Spiral Gratitude...

hi all...
I hope you had a great weekend and Monday. I finally got my Christmas tree decorated (thanks to Ashley and Sharon). I just cannot seem to get very motivated this Christmas season. Not sure why...but it seems like most people I talk to are feeling the same way.

here is a quick card I made for a friend at church, who did something special for me *smile*...Since I have not been real motivated lately...I kept it pretty simple with one of my go-to stamp sets (can't fail with Spiral Bouquet).

tonight we have our women's church Christmas party...I hope it will help me start to get into the Christmas mood...it will be fun I am sure...presents to swap, goodies to eat and good friends~a great combination!

did you get a chance to elf yourself??? I think it is hilarious!!! (I know...weird sense of humor).

Enjoy today!

my new favorite color combo...

Happy Friday!
Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am!!! I hope to make a big dent in my Christmas shopping! I am starting to feel a little stressed. Mike and I went to Sam's Club yesterday for church stuff and I was so thrilled to find a few Christmas gifts there (2 people crossed off the list).
Here is a card I made for my friend Jackie (hi Jackie), she treated me & Julie to lunch on Wednesday. It was so nice to spend a couple of hours with them, haven't had a girl's day in a while...I don't do that as much as I should! I feel a New Year's resolution coming on, lol! I used my "out on a limb" stamp set and one of my new favorite color combos: Mellow Moss/Blush Blossom/Groovy Guava (really soft and pretty together). I added some Stardust Stickles to the flowers too (hard to see from the photo).
I am off to work today! Enjoy your weekend!!!!
supplies used (SU! unless noted): Out on a Limb (PTI) stamp set; Groovy Guava/Blush Blossom/Mellow Moss/Close to Cocoa ink; Blush Blossom/Mellow Moss/Whisper White cardstock; Moss Gingham ribbon; Scallop punch; Oval Nestabilities Dies (PTI); Stardust Stickles (Michael's)

LOL!

No cards today...sorry!
I do have some cards to post, but still need to edit them...so I thought I would post a picture of my new shirt. I found this online and HAD to get it (it was one of those compulsive buys). This one SO fits me! My kids are always complaining that I want to snap their picture all the time...I can't help it...it is a sickness!!!! I didn't tell them I bought it, and we all had a good laugh when they saw it for the first time...I guess they understand my humor, lol!
check out this one (too funny!)
Yesterday we had our carpets cleaned...so now we can get the Christmas tree up (hopefully this weekend). Maybe that will help me get some great Christmas gift ideas. I have today off (switched days off with my co-worker). So I am hoping to get some serious crafting done!
Enjoy today!

yummy thanks...

Hi all...did you do your cyber shopping yesterday? Not me...I still have lots to do (sigh)...every year Christmas shopping seems to get harder and harder! I am really at a loss on what to get for everyone...hopefully I will get some good ideas soon, since it is already 12/2 (gasp!).

I needed a thank you card for my friend Maryanne who brought dinner over to us after Mike's surgery last Monday. I grabbed my Warm Happiness set (love this one!), and the sentiment from Rustic Branches (both designed by Pine, btw...I just love her style!), and stamped away. I was pretty happy with the end result (because it is not how I had originally envisioned it, lol!).

I am hoping to finish post processing some Senior pictures of Sharon (Josh's girlfriend) today. Josh was the photographer and did a fabulous job (I think anyway). I am just tweaking them a bit in Photoshop. I will post a few if I get them done.

Enjoy today!

Long Time No Blog...

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving...Our family enjoyed 4 days of relaxing and enjoying one another (boy the time flew by!).

On Friday Ashley talked me into going out for Black Friday (was I nuts!). It was a lot of fun even though I was really tired from going to bet at midnight on Thursday (technically Friday, lol!). We woke up at 5am and hit Target (it was really Crazy!), now I know why I usually avoid this sort of thing...it was a zoo! I did get some good deals and have at least started my Christmas shopping...which does make me feel good. Not sure if I will participate in Black Friday next year...but I am easily persuaded when this is involved, lol! Ashley and I even stopped in at Costco for our free cookbook (which they give out every Black Friday starting @9am...thanks Vicki & Maryanne for letting us know about that).

My sister in law celebrated her birthday last week...Happy Birthday Kyong!!!! Here is the card I made for her. I hope she had a fabulous day! I whipped up this card with my Spiral Bouquet stamp set...which hasn't had much ink lately. Of course I had to add some bling to the flowers with one of my favorite glitter products (Stardust Stickles).

Thought I would include some of our Thanksgiving pic's...we had a fun day!!

nugget tin...

Hi all...
I wanted to re-post this nugget tin, since I had to remove it from my blog last fall (they were published in PC magazine). I just love these tins! They are so easy to make and really do make a nice presentation. I get mine here
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I am going into work for a couple of hours today and then I am off to the grocery store...I don't know why I wait until the day before Thanksgiving to shop (every year), probably because I dislike it so much! So I will hopefully brave the crowd and make it home in a good mood, lol!
Have a terrific day!

hubby update...

quick post...sorry I don't have any pictures today...I was pretty wiped out from all the waiting at the hospital yesterday. Mike did great (just a little slow coming off the anesthesia). I also realized yesterday that it is probably a good thing I never went into nursing, lol! I had always wanted to be a nurse, but was pretty grossed out hanging out in the recovery room for 2 hours, while Mike tried to wake up yesterday...I say THANK YOU!!!! to nurses...you have to deal with lots of really gross stuff!

Also thank you Maryanne for bringing dinner over last night!!! I was exhausted when I got home, and it was nice to not have to worry about that. It was de-lish!!!! Thanks again!!!!

I am off to work this morning and leaving a little early to drive Mike to the doctor to have his bandage removed...he had some really large veins in his leg that were removed/lasered (just in case you wanted to know, lol!).

I hope to have something to post tomorrow.

Enjoy today!!!!

never enough purses!!!

Howdy all!
Here we are back at Monday again...but at least this week is a short week *smile* (which reminds me...have to get my turkey!).
I had a fun weekend! I finally pieced together a quilt that I had started about 2 years ago (crazy I know!), and then on Saturday Ashley, Sharon (Josh's girlfriend), Maryanne (Sharon's mom), and I went to see the movie Twilight. I have not read the books (I was the only one in our group who didn't read them, sheesh!.). All in all it was a pretty good movie...I do have to say the main character was really HOT! And from a readers point of view...Ashley thought some parts in the beginning were a little cheesy...but enjoyed it overall (you know the book is always better).
Okay...now onto the card: I made this one last week and got too busy to post it on Friday. I used the same set as the shoe card. I love these purses...aren't they cute? I feel the same way about purses, that I do about shoes...LOVE THEM!!!
Today Mike is having out patient surgery on his leg...so I will be hanging out at the hospital for about 4-5 hours...I hope they have Wi-Fi, so I can do some serious blog surfing to pass the time...if you happen to think of it, say a little prayer for him at 10 am (mountain time).
Enjoy today!

blah, blah, blah....some randomness...

Hi all...
Yesterday Ashley and I had a fun morning...we went to Old Navy, Ulta, Pier 1, and Ross. She ended up getting some really great deals (Ashley is quite the bargain shopper!). I was mostly along for the ride, lol! Then we stopped off here for a light lunch (yummy!), before we went to work-out. I really enjoy her company!!! So glad she lives so close by. I am still getting used to not having her home every night...which brings me to our Christmas photo...she isn't in it this year *sad face* It was kind of weird, but I will be taking one of her, Nate and Jax (their kitty) this weekend for their Christmas card. Thought I would post one of ours that didn't make the cut.

I used Shutterfly again this year...I like them because you can use their sample Christmas cards (just drag and drop you photo), or you can make your own digi card (that is what I did again this year). I uploaded everything last Friday, and can you believe I got them in the mail yesterday? That was fast!!!! I will post it closer to Christmas, I don't want to spoil the surprise for everyone, lol!

Oh yeah...this never got crossed off my list yesterday...but it is still waiting for me!

Tonight is our family night...I am making this...it is really de-lish!

Enjoy today!!!!

if the shoe fits...

Happy Wednesday!
I hope you week is going great!!! Quick post today, since I have lots to do. I am hoping to get the last few items checked off my to-do list before I go to work-out with Ashley and run into work for a few hours.
I bought this stamp set "First in Fashion" from SU! probably 2 years ago, and just inked it up this week...gasp!!! I think the sentiment is so funny...because it reminds me of my mom. When she finds something she likes she buys it in every color (a trait she has passed along to me, lol!).
Oh yeah...random note: I went grocery shopping last night and was happy to find this available again..yummy! I also found out you can freeze it, so I am going to stock up, so I can enjoy some all year long:0)
Enjoy today!!!

merry wishes...

Howdy!

I found out yesterday that one of the radio stations here in Phoenix is already playing their continuous Christmas music...usually that starts on Thanksgiving day. Since I can listen to Christmas music anytime...I switched my dial over to 99.9 FM (KEZ). I drove home from work singing "Silver Bells", lol! Too bad I couldn't convince everyone in the office to turn the dial yet (they think it is too early).

So with Christmas carols ringing in my head...I decided to post a Christmas card. I really love this set, Hung up on the Holidays, from Stampin' Up! it is a little set but it has some cute images. I especially love this little gingerbread man...kinda makes me want a cookie.

I can hardly believe that Thanksgiving is next week...then the craziness begins! Are you ready?

Have a terrific day!

**to Lindsay who left a post regarding directions for the wedding invitations...please email/leave me a post with your email address...I don't know how to get in touch with you**

smile...dream...love...

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I got almost everything crossed off my to-do list...so that made me happy!

Here is a quick card I made with my Text Box stamp set. I really love the new color (from last months release), Ocean Tide...really pretty!

I spent some time on Friday roaming around outside and in the house taking random pictures...I just LOVE my camera! Ever since I have moved my dial to "M" (for manual), picture taking is such a challenge. I have to say that some days I get bad, blurry, out of focus pictures...but that is the great thing about digital cameras...the delete button. I have joined a photography forum (it is $6 per month)called Clickin Moms (not just for moms, btw). I have really learned so much over there!!! The people are really nice and really talented! I finally had the nerve to upload a photo in the "critique me" section. I was really nervous...but hey, that is how you learn right? I have really been working on focus and especially focusing on peoples eyes...and since my family isn't really enthusiastic about posing for me, I grabbed one of Ashley's dolls from the garage, and shot away. So here is the picture I posted, and I think I got it this time (not counting all the others that didn't make it, lol!).

Random note: I left the doll on my counter on Friday night...and when Josh and Sharon came home, they were really creeped out, lol! I suppose I should have warned them.

Enjoy Today!

remembering my me'me...

So glad it is Friday...
We had dinner at our friends, Dave & Deb's house last night...thanks guys! It was a fun time, and delish!

Today I am hoping to look like this, ha ha! I will be taking Ashley & Nate's Christmas photo, and what ever else I can find to click away at, lol! I find photography so relaxing and rewarding...and I just love looking at pictures...Maybe I will have some good ones to share next week.

Today is my me'me's (grandma in french) funeral (She was 91)...She passed away last Sunday. This week I have been recalling some of the good memories I had growing up, I think my favorite is how every Christmas my me'me & pe'pe would drive to our house (they lived about 45 min away), and spend Christmas eve, Christmas day, and the day after Christmas at our house...My brother and I could hardly sleep on Christmas eve (I don't think we did), but we would wake up at like 4 a.m. to see if Santa had visited. We always woke up me'me who slept on the family room couch...she was a good sport...as we shook presents and tried to make noise so everyone else would get up...we had a lot of fun! I will always cherish the memories (and photos...must be why I love pictures so much)! I Wish I was able to fly back to CT to be with my brother, but it just didn't work out. I will be thinking of you today, Tim!!!

*I had 2 posts from yesterdays entry that I accidently deleted...I did read them, but sorry...hit the wrong button and then they were gone*

Hug someone you love today and Enjoy your weekend!

thanks a bunch...

Hi all!
It is Thursday...and that means Friday is right around the corner...yippee!

I really like how today's card turned out, I had no idea what I was doing when I started out to make this one, I just knew I wanted to use some patterned paper and these felt flowers that matched. I shifted things around for quite a while, until I came up with this layout. I even used some of my hoarded fire & Ice brads, lol!

Yesterday after work I stopped over to visit Ashley (and Jax, her kitten), and to work out at her apartment weight room...we actually didn't talk each other out of it this week, lol!

Then we decided to take a trip to the Dollar Tree (love that place), I stocked up on Christmas wrapping paper, curling ribbon, and tissue paper (now I just need some stuff to wrap). When Ashley and I were in the candy aisle...we spotted these...I had to get them for Josh, because I knew he would get a kick out of this grossness (is that a word?). I think I may have to go back and get some for my nephew too, (boys like the weirdest stuff!). They even had gummy boogers. I don't even think I can get past the grossness (there is that word again), to even give them a try...but boys will be boys...Josh said they were tasty.

Thanks for visiting!!!! Have an Awesome day!!!!

snowman & smores....

Hi...
Can you believe that Christmas is a little over a month away...arghhhh! I always say every year that I am going to start my shopping/crafting early, but that never happens...I just don't feel like Christmas when it is in the 80-90's here in Phoenix. With the economy the way it is, it looks like Christmas will be a little lighter than usual...no biggie! I am trying to start a mental list in my head. It seems like every year new and exciting ideas for everyone gets harder and harder. It must mean that we really don't NEED anything. It really isn't about the gifts anyway, but I do have fun giving them!

I saw a card similar to this one last year on Splitcoast Stampers...I thought it was really cute (I totally love snowmen!). I had to recreate it...it was pretty simple, used mostly punches (and my cuttlebug die...it was the closest one to snow that I had). I think this snowman looks like it could be a yummy snack...SMORES...Delish!!! snowmen & smores...how can you go wrong?

Enjoy today, and thanks for stopping by!

quick post...quick card...

Howdy!
I hope your week is off to a great start...I have been busy trying to create our digi Christmas card, so I can get it sent off to Shutterfly ...My creativity was "out to lunch" yesterday...argh! I think I did finally come up with a design, which was pretty simple (such my style...less is more). I may change my mind tomorrow, though, lol!

Have you seen the cute projects Nichole has on her blog for the new Papertrey release? So stinkin' cute!!!!

Today card is a quick one...I dusted off my rub on's from SU!'s last SAB promotion, and made this easy card with them. I think it took my under 5 minutes to complete...how's that for easy?

Have a great day today-Thanks for visiting!!!!

white chocolate mocha with whip...yummy!

Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was relaxing and too short, as usual, lol!

Friday we went out to dinner at Carraba's with some friends from church (thanks! you know who you are!)...that was a lot of fun.

Then Saturday morning, Ashley and Nate came over for haircuts...they brought us some yummy Starbucks coffee (non-fat white chocolate mocha...my fav! in their holiday red cups~I love that color!!!!)...which is where I got the idea for this card. I also added some whipped cream to the top of the cups with my liquid applique...and the best part is...it has 0 calories! Saturday afternoon, I got to play around with my camera and shot some photos of random stuff around the house and of course Peter (my cat, who is a great model, btw, lol!). It was nice to feel creative this weekend...love it!

Sunday we took our family pictures (thanks Sharon for being our photographer) for our Christmas card (which I still have to design). I got a few that are possibilities, but you know how it is...it is hard to find one that everyone is happy with. Here is a picture of me and Josh when we were done snapping photos...he was a good sport, even though I had sketched out 10 possible poses for us (I am a little crazy like that, lol!). He is a great kid!!!! Isn't he the cutest?

Enjoy your day~thanks for visiting!!!!

TGIF...

TGIF Friends!
I love Fridays...when I have the whole weekend ahead of me...especially because I can sleep in (which is around 7am for me, lol!), and have coffee with my hubby on the sofa in my pj's.

I have been reorganizing my craft room...again, (it seems like I am constantly moving stuff around in there)...am I the only one that does that? Plus I am always picking up my supplies/paper/scraps/etc since I have yet to figure out an organized way to papercraft...when I am stamping, it looks like a bomb went off when I am done...but it is fun!

Here is another case of Nichole, with one of my favorite stamp sets (Floral Frenzy). It looks kind of similar to all my posts this week (I just noticed that, lol!). I will try to mix it up next week.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend~Thanks for stopping by!!!

another cuttlebug card...

Hi all...
The weekend is almost here...this week is zipping by. I am really ready for the weekend, though...I just cannot get enough of them!

It has been getting cooler here in Phoenix...yesterday it was only 77 degrees...I love living here! Especially at Christmas time when I can rub it in to my family back in New England that it is in the upper 70's and sunny, lol! I sure do not miss the cold weather!

I needed a birthday card for my dad (Nov 8th), and decided to use the same layout I used here. I just had to make it a little more "guy-ish"~I think this layout is gonna to be one of my fav's!

Thanks for stopping by~Enjoy Today!!!!

Supplies used: (SU! unless noted) So Many Scallops stamp set; Whisper White/Taken with Teal/Old Olive cardstock; Taken with Teal ink; Old Olive grosgrain ribbon; circle/scallop punches; Birthday Cuttlebug die template

warm happiness....

Hi Peeps!

Just a quick post today...I HAD to have this stamp set!!! I just love, no LOVE coffee! I think it all began with my grandmother (who was Swedish, btw), she had coffee running through her veins. As far back as I can remember when I would go over to her house (which was a lot, since she lived practically next door), she would always have some sort of baked good and give me coffee to drink (of course I added tons of cream and sugar back then). I think that is why I love coffee so much today! It reminds me of my "Mor Mor" (that's grandma in Swedish). She always had time to sit down and have a cup of coffee with whoever came over, no matter what time it was or even if she was busy. I think a cup of coffee is like a warm hug...especially shared with a friend! That reminds me...I think Ashley and I need to have a Starbucks date real soon!

Enjoy today! Thanks for visiting!!!

cuttlebug thanks...

Happy Monday...

I hope you had a great weekend! Mike and I spent Saturday watching movies, we haven't done that in quite some time...it was so nice to just "veg-out" together (even if it was a guy movie and scary movie). Then we spent some time over at Ashley & Nate's, so I could play with thier new kitten, Jax...he is so little and cute! I even had some stamping time...so my weekend was complete. I have been struggling to get my stamping mojo back...and the best way for me to do that is to case a few cards that I like, then it starts to get the paper crafting juices flowing. This card I think is so simple and pretty...of course I cased it from Nichole (who is a paper crafting genius!!!!), I LOVE all her designs! I just think her style is so pretty and classy! Of course I tweaked mine just a bit and ran my white shimmery cardstock through my cuttlebug.

I also saw a quote on Nichole's blog that a card is like sending a hug with a fold in the middle...I thought that was such a great way to put it! I have several "hugs" to mail out this week!

Thanks for stopping by~Have a Fabulous Day!!!!!

Supplies used: Floral Frenzy (PTI) stamp set; Whisper White/Shimmery White (SU!)/Sweet Blush (PTI) cardstock; Black Palette ink (PTI); Sweet Blush Grosgrain Ribbon; Cuttlebug; Circle/Scallop Punch (SU!)

Triangle Treat Box...

I had a few moments to play today...and wanted to try out Beate's triangle box...tutorial is here. It was pretty easy. Since I made a Halloween themed one, thought I would post it today. I think I may use this template for my Thanksgiving favors. I think they would be really pretty embossed.

Enjoy the weekend!
