Luck O' the Irish...

I thought that since St. Patrick's day is coming up, I would share some cute Pinterest finds to help celebrate.

We were asked to share a green snack at work on Monday, so I was searching ideas on Pinterest to find something (what did we do before Pinterest?).

I think I have narrowed it down.

I will post my choice and the recipe next week on the O' blog.  It is a treat that can be adapted to any occasion.

Nope, I am not Irish, but it is fun to play along!!

I will probably make some corned beef and cabbage, since my hubby likes it.  I am going to try a crock pot version, since I will be at work all day.
anyone have a great recipe to share??

And all of these yummy treats look delicious!!  I don't think I would have the will power to make a batch of these Oreos without eating them all!!

I have seen these push up pops all over Pinterest.
Such a cute presentation!!

These are a little out of my league (I don't think I would have the patience, and my perfectionism would probably drive me crazy), but they are
super CUTE!

And I love the touch of green!

happy new week...

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving?? It has been so nice to have 4 days off in a row to enjoy with my family/hubby!!

Thanksgiving day was done in the usual Clark manner~relaxed!! I just love spending time with my family, eating lots of yummy food, and dressing comfy (Ashley even brought her Jammie's for later when we watched a movie). Setting the table is always one of my favorite jobs... This year, I wanted to update my table linens (and not break the bank!!), so Wednesday after work, I ran over to Walmart for a few things and decided to check out the linens (they were pretty picked out), then I happened to check the end cap and found some clearance items that would work perfectly (and they were neutral, so I can use them year round) *woot* Dave Ramsey would be proud LOL! (that is a joke for my former FPU classmates). I also found a cute place card template here (I just opened the document in Photoshop and added a text box to type in our names, or you could easily write them in); I printed them on cardstock and made them into mini cards, they worked out great!!!

The rest of my Thanksgiving photos are here.

Here is a quick Christmas card I whipped up last night for the Clean & Simple card challenge...I have been fascinated with numbers lately {because of a project I am taking on} more on that later in the week, so it has carried over into my card making.

Merry Christmas 25

I was reading a blog post last week on making your blog more user friendly...it was very informative!! I implemented most of the suggestions and hope it makes reading/commenting on my blog much easier in the future...if you are interested you can read the post here.

Ok friends~make today AWESOME!!!

Thank You!!

If you live in the USA~you know that today is Memorial Day. I just wanted thank all the men and women who have/still serve our country!! My brother Tim, served in Iraq in 1990~it was a really hard year, especially for my mom !! we thought about him every day~hoping and praying he was okay (we had little or no contact back then). Thankfully he made it home not unscathed from war, but safe. What a sacrifice these men/woman make for us, our country and our freedom and for that I say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!
Enjoy Today!!!
**card post coming later today~had a busy day yesterday celebrating with the family~so I did not have time to upload and edit my photos**

here comes Santa Claus....

Happy Monday blog friends!!! Are you getting your Christmas duties completed? This year I have to admit, I haven't really been stressing too much (it is early though, LOL!). I think I am pretty much done with my shopping (but I am usually running out for random stuff right up until the last minute). Today is my last day off (used up my hoarded vacation days finally), until the holidays...so I am hoping to get all my out of town stuff wrapped and shipped and then spend some time in my craft room for some crafty projects...I need some stamp time!!!

I have been playing with my Holiday Button Bits stamp set a lot (just a warning, LOL!), since I will have to put it away in a couple of weeks...until next Christmas.

This Santa was so fun to put together (paper pieced)!! I also LOVE PTI's white cardstock for coloring!!! It is a lot heavier than SU!'s white cardstock, so it holds up really well to markers.
HBB santa

Last night Ashley and I put together our annual ginger bread house...it used to be a family project, but for the past two years us girls have been carrying on the tradition~we had fun!!! I will have pic's soon...so check out my 365 blog in a couple of days *smile*

Enjoy today!!!

more Christmas goodness...

Happy TGIF to ya!!!
I have been busy with Christmas stuff, I finally got my naked tree decorated yesterday (all by myself, which was not as much fun!), wreaths hung, Christmas cards almost done (I ran out...so placed a small order with expedited shipping), and some shopping at Sprouts then dinner with Ashley. What a fun filled crazy day, LOL!!!

Here is a quick and easy card (gotta love those!).
Christmas merry & bright

One of my dear blog friends, Jodene, sent me this adorable card (all the way from Australia!!!), She was even sneaky about it~she messaged Ashley on Facebook for my address...I was so surprised!!! And I have to say that Jodene is an AWESOME stamper!!! The card is even more beautiful IRL! The inside is even cute :) Thanks again Jodene!!!

merry & bright

Hi all...
I missed my Wednesday morning post~oops!!! I realized at 9:00 pm Tuesday night that I didn't photograph/edit my cards for my blog post...and I was too tired to even attempt it, so I am posting a little late :(

The Christmas stress has finally started...Luckily I have tomorrow off (still using my hoarded vacation days), and I hope to at least get my Christmas cards in the mail. And maybe some wrapping??? Why do the days seem so short once the 2nd week of December rolls around, LOL!!!

I have been working on a digi project, that I will share after the holidays~I have been having fun getting back into scrapping...maybe 2010 will be a productive scrapping year for me~I just get so overwhelmed with all the pictures I take.

Enough rambling, huh? Onto the card...
I have been on a Christmas kick these last few days, I am not stamping/making my Christmas cards this year (gasp!!!), I digi scrapped it *smile* I will post it soon (after I get them mailed).

Although, I like to have some holiday cards on hand for the office, church, and last minute Christmas gifts, and that way I don't have to do a huge assembly line to mass produce...it is fun just to create one at a time :)

merry and bright

gingerbread button bits...

Happy Black Friday...
A quickie post for today blog friends. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had a great time with the fam (will have pic's soon), and enjoyed the yummy food and all the fixings (and even did a 4 mile walk with Ashley in the afternoon, so I wouldn't feel so bad, LOL!).

I am still inking up my Holiday Button Bits stamp set...I really love this little gingerbread man~so cute!!!

button tree...

TGIW!!!
Today is my Friday~hooray!!!!
I have another HBB card for ya *smile* I used quite a few buttons on this one, so I am not sure if it will affect the postage or not.
I think it would have been cute to thread all the buttons with twine...but I got lazy and just glued them to the cardstock, LOL!!!

HBB tree

Are you ready for Turkey day??? Last night I braved the crowd and picked up the rest of the items from the grocery store. I started prepping some of the side dishes...so hopefully I won't have tons to do at the last minute. We are going pretty low key this year...just a yummy dinner and family~that is what it is all about anyway (and maybe a few pictures) *smile*

I was so excited on Monday when I got home from work to find this on my doorstep...I had 2 cards published in it *big smile* I knew that I had 2 that had not shown up yet...what a surprise to have them in this publication (it is a good one btw, lots of great ideas).

Another exciting thing...our church collected 83 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child~AWESOME!!!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and if you are crazy like me to shop on Black Friday~have fun!!!!

holly jolly Christmas...

Happy Monday...
How was your weekend? I went to get my
haircut on Friday, when I was making my appointment for 5 weeks out...they said "oh we will be closed on that Friday it is Christmas Day"~YIKES!!!! Have you started your shopping yet??? Ashley and I will probably brave the crowds on Black Friday~crazy, I know!!! But I hope to put a pretty big dent in my Christmas list. Luckily I buy mostly gift cards...so I don't need a lot of gifts. I know Josh wants some stuff from here (me too), and probably a gift card from here, Mike wants this and usually a gift card to here, Ashley is undecided, but was thinking about one of these and maybe gift card to here or here. Nate wants one of these (which I think is funny!!!), I def need some more ideas for him, maybe something for his xbox. Okay enough Christmas chit chat, LOL!

I have been having lots of fun with my new stamp set~Holiday Button Bits (LOVE IT)!!!! I have been using it a lot...I hope you don't get sick of it, LOL!!! At least I am getting stocked up on Christmas cards.

HBB holly

I am excited to have a short work week~yippee!!!
I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner (just for my fam), but I am not going all "Martha Stewart"...just a nice relaxing day of family and food~what could be better than that???

Enjoy today!!

more HBB...

Happy TGIF!!
It was a short week for me (had Monday off), but so glad that the weekend is here!!!

I have been in charge of Operation Christmas Child at our church for the past 3 years...and today I am excited to report that I am dropping off 83 shoe boxes at our local OCC drop-off location (pic's to come next week). It is such an awesome ministry, and I love being a part of it!!! I guess since my Love Language is gifts, it kinda fits *smile*

I know I've said it already, but I am LOVING my new stamp set (Holiday Button Bits), I have been seeing a lot of these colors used for Christmas and I have to say~it is really a pretty combo.

And for some total randomness...I LOVE Paradise Bakery Chocolate Chip cookies (they are delish!!!). Yesterday we had some brought to our office (by the drug reps~I work for Doctors)...I have started doing Weight Watchers again, not to loose a lot of weight, but to help me get back on track, since I fell off the wagon while planning Ashley's wedding last year. I love WW...such a great program to keep you motivated and accountable. Anyway, back to the cookie...Ashley and I decided to calculate the points value of one of those delish rounds of yumminess and can you believe it.....7 points *gasp* considering my point limit for the day is 20....that is a third of my points. Luckily we decided to split it and eat it slowly, LOL!!! I enjoyed every single bite of the 3.5 pt's. How's that for Random, LOL!!!

Enjoy your weekend!!!

lovin' my HBB...

Howdy all...
I hope you are having a terrific week~I had a blast with my friend Sue last week...but it was back to reality yesterday. I figured the massages, eating out and shopping would have to come to an end eventually *sigh*

Mike and I dropped her off at the airport on Monday...and I had some time to break out my Holiday Button Bits *yippee* I am just letting you know~I LOVE THIS SET!!!!!! I only had time to make a couple of cards...but I am anxiously awaiting some weekend stamping time to ink it up again *smile*

HBB snowman

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week *gasp* I am starting to stress a little about Christmas shopping (37 days until Christmas)!! I used to make it a goal to have everything purchased and (maybe) wrapped by Thanksgiving...I have been such a slacker the past few years. Ashley and I will most likely go out on Black Friday (I used to swear I would never shop on BF with all those crazy people, LOL!)...but it is a lot of fun (after a Peppermint Mocha, of course). This year we may even do some research to see what we want to wait in line for.

Enjoy Today!

more father's day...

Hi all...
I hope your week is off to a great start!!!
I had a nice weekend, and celebrated Father's Day with Mike and the kids yesterday. I took lots of pictures and ended up with a few good ones...but of course want to edit/crop a bit:D
I made a few of Mike's favorites that I don't make very often (since I am "trying" to do WW). We had coney island hot dogs, french fries and root beer floats, with a WW berry tart for dessert (it was only 3 points..but after eating about 15 points for lunch, it didn't really matter, LOL!).

Here is the card I made for the kids to give to Mike with his gift...they got him a new laptop backpack that is black and red, so I tried to coordinate the card with the gift:D
Oh yeah, I made Mike that T-shirt in Photoshop, and since my printer is being fixed, I had Ashley print it for me on Avery Transfer Paper...Ashley informed me later that I didn't need the T...ha ha!!! Oh well, I want to emphasise that Mike is a GREATT Dad!!!

Then Mike and I put in the movie Benjamin Button...it was pretty good, but really long!!! I think Father's Day was a success:D

I was summoned for jury duty on Tuesday (arghhhh!), I am really hoping when I call tonight to check in, I get the message that I don't have to report...now don't get me wrong, I am all about doing my civic duty, but I have been picked 3 times!
Enjoy today!!

best fishes for father's day...

This Sunday is Father's Day...I whipped up this little gift for my step dad...Moe (aka "the grouch"). He likes to fish, so since this is the only fish image I have...decided to ink it up:D I colored in the little fishes with my SU! markers and popped one up on each image with 2 pop dots (for that dramatic dimentional effect, LOL!). I filled up the goodie bag with some treats from Trader Joe's (love that place), and put a gift card for him inside the card to one of his favorite places to shop.

The kids and I will celebrate with Mike on Sunday...not sure what I will cook for lunch, but I have the dessert all picked out (my favorite part!!!). I am sure the camera will be out...so I may have some photos to share:D

Have a terrific weekend!

mother's day ensemble...

Hi all...
Another new week is ahead of us...are you ready?
I hope you had a great weekend...and a Happy Mother's Day. We celebrated Josh's 20th birthday on Mother's Day, so the fam was all here (a great way to spend MD...IMO~even if I cooked Josh's choice for lunch).
Here is the little ensemble I made for my mom and my MIL for Mother's Day...I found this cute gift card tin at Michael's, and just jazzed it up a bit with some matching cardstock, ribbon and button. I used my PTI Life and Women of Life stamp sets for the card. It all came together pretty quickly.
Enjoy Today!!!!!

Easter Goodies...

Happy Good Friday!!!
(I think every Friday is good!!!)

I hope you are having a great day!
I don't know about you...but Easter kind of snuck up on me this year...on Wednesday I realized that I hadn't gotten any goodies to fill up these cute pails (for the people in my office) I found in the dollar spot at Target. So after work, I ran to Paradise Bakery to pick up some of their yummy cookies (they are de-lish), and to Party City to get the wrapping stuff.

After dinner I whipped up some tags with my new stamp set "Tags and Words" (Heidi Grace). I just love that little chick image in the set...so cute!!!

I have today off *hooray* I have to come up with some Easter treat ideas for Ashley, Nate, Josh and Sharon/get a ham and the fix'in's for dinner on Sunday (yummy!)/and pick up (lots of) eggs and boil them so the kids can color them (they still like to do that). It should be a fun weekend!

Hope you have Blessed Easter!!!!!

Valentine Week...day 3

Howdy...
Here is card #3 for Valentine Week, I used the stamp set Happy Hearts from SU! which has gotten a lot of use by me over the years. I think this tall heart image is my favorite in the set. I used Pure Poppy and Sweet Blush ink and cardstock from Papertrey Ink, and it is such a pretty Valentine combo!

Are you doing anything fun for Heart Day? I may try to think ahead and plan some sort of love themed meal...we will see how ambitious I get, lol! I do think Valentine's Day is such a fun holiday...because who doesn't like getting a card???

Did anyone see the Biggest Looser last night??? I cannot believe that Joelle did not get voted out!!! I am happy for her partner Carla, though:) that show is addicting!!!

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy today!!

supplies used (SU! unless noted): Happy Hearts/Rustic Branches (PTI) stamp sets; Pure Poppy/Sweet Blush (both PTI)/Whisper White cardstock; Pure Poppy/Sweet Blush (both PTI) ink; Sweet Blush (PTI) Grosgrain Ribbon

Valentine Week...Day 2

Happy Tuesday!

Here is my card #2 for Valentine Week. I have seen so many cute tree stamps lately and really liked this one that Kristina Werner used...since I didn't really have anything that looked close to it...I scoured my stamp room for something similar, and decided on Rustic Branches (along with some heart images from various stamp sets). This was a super easy card, and I love the simpleness of it, (I may give his one to my hubby for our anniversary on Jan 25th).

Have a terrific Tuesday!!!
