embossed leaves...

Happy Monday Friends!!!
I cannot believe that Christmas is over~it always comes and goes so fast! Did you get any new stamping stuff from Santa??? I made an order from Papertrey with some of my Christmas $$, so I am hoping to get some "happy mail" this week.

Mike and I decided to not exchange gifts this year (which was really hard for me, because I am a gift person...I especially like giving gifts!). Well he surprised me with something I have been wanting for a while (I haven't taken a picture yet..so I will post on Wednesday what it is *wink*). He is the best hubby ever (even if he doesn't follow the rules)!!!

I am going to be on a thank you card kick for a little while (LOL! consider yourself warned). I have lots to send out for Christmas thank you's. Here is one I made last week, I actually pulled out my embossing stuff (which I haven't used for a LONG time). I really like how the clear embossing powder gives a darker/shiney color to the stamped image. I will probably be embossing more...since I forgot how cool it is.

another Christmas tin...

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas (well not here in AZ...but it is getting closer). I was originally scheduled to work today...but luckily for me there was only one doctor working and 3 patients scheduled~so I was able to reschedule everyone and have the day off~GLORIOUS!!! I was even more excited when I found out that my UPS order was going to be delivered 2 days early!!! You can see it here. Luckily I am doing a photoshoot on Saturday that paid for that baby!!!!

Today I am going to be a busy beaver!!! Groceries, haircuts for the fam (by me), getting a manicure and pedicure with Ash (Fun!!), cooking, and maybe a quick run to Target, quick clean the house for Christmas and whatever else may come my way, LOL!

Here is a little gift tin I made for my step dad (really dad!!). I know he doesn't read my blog so I can post it before Christmas, LOL! He is an avid fisherman, so there is a gift card to one of his favorite shopping spots and some red and green Swedish fish. I was really addicted to that Santa Button Bit image this year (just love it). I think it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself, LOL!

gift card wrap up...

Happy Monday!
Am I the only one that cannot believe that Christmas is this week??? I think I am all finished (even got all my wrapping done on Saturday evening).

I am looking forward to some fun family time!!! We will go to church on Christmas Eve, and everyone will come home...get in their jammie's and we will have dinner and watch Christmas movies~kinda the Clark tradition. Ashley and Nate will spend the night too...which is really fun :) Then bright and early (thanks to Josh & Nate~They are still a kids at heart) we will get up to open gifts on Christmas moring *smile* I am getting an early present *hooray!* Mike let me order something that has been on my wish list for a while~It should be here on Thursday...I will def post a photo :)

I whipped up this gift card tin the other day, and since I had just made a card for Heather's graduation~I sorta went with the same theme. I purchased the tins here a few years ago, I had ordered a lot~I noticed that I only have 4 left...so time to make another order, LOL!!!

girly...you rock!!!

Happy Friday...The Christmas parties have begun~So Much Fun!!! We celebrated our office Christmas party yesterday afternoon...good times!!! I know I say this every year...but I got spoiled!!!

Then after dinner Mike and I went to a graduation party, to celebrate with our friend Heather. More food and fun!!! I have been quite the party animal~and still have a few more to go to.

I made this card for Heather...I was dying to break out my new Papertrey stamps...Turning a New Leaf, and Signature Greetings...and since I needed a graduation card~it was the perfect time to ink them up *smile*

here comes Santa Claus....

Happy Monday blog friends!!! Are you getting your Christmas duties completed? This year I have to admit, I haven't really been stressing too much (it is early though, LOL!). I think I am pretty much done with my shopping (but I am usually running out for random stuff right up until the last minute). Today is my last day off (used up my hoarded vacation days finally), until the holidays...so I am hoping to get all my out of town stuff wrapped and shipped and then spend some time in my craft room for some crafty projects...I need some stamp time!!!

I have been playing with my Holiday Button Bits stamp set a lot (just a warning, LOL!), since I will have to put it away in a couple of weeks...until next Christmas.

This Santa was so fun to put together (paper pieced)!! I also LOVE PTI's white cardstock for coloring!!! It is a lot heavier than SU!'s white cardstock, so it holds up really well to markers.
HBB santa

Last night Ashley and I put together our annual ginger bread house...it used to be a family project, but for the past two years us girls have been carrying on the tradition~we had fun!!! I will have pic's soon...so check out my 365 blog in a couple of days *smile*

more Christmas goodness...

Happy TGIF to ya!!!
I have been busy with Christmas stuff, I finally got my naked tree decorated yesterday (all by myself, which was not as much fun!), wreaths hung, Christmas cards almost done (I ran out...so placed a small order with expedited shipping), and some shopping at Sprouts then dinner with Ashley. What a fun filled crazy day, LOL!!!

Here is a quick and easy card (gotta love those!).
Christmas merry & bright

One of my dear blog friends, Jodene, sent me this adorable card (all the way from Australia!!!), She was even sneaky about it~she messaged Ashley on Facebook for my address...I was so surprised!!! And I have to say that Jodene is an AWESOME stamper!!! The card is even more beautiful IRL! The inside is even cute :) Thanks again Jodene!!!

merry & bright

Hi all...
I missed my Wednesday morning post~oops!!! I realized at 9:00 pm Tuesday night that I didn't photograph/edit my cards for my blog post...and I was too tired to even attempt it, so I am posting a little late :(

The Christmas stress has finally started...Luckily I have tomorrow off (still using my hoarded vacation days), and I hope to at least get my Christmas cards in the mail. And maybe some wrapping??? Why do the days seem so short once the 2nd week of December rolls around, LOL!!!

I have been working on a digi project, that I will share after the holidays~I have been having fun getting back into scrapping...maybe 2010 will be a productive scrapping year for me~I just get so overwhelmed with all the pictures I take.

Enough rambling, huh? Onto the card...
I have been on a Christmas kick these last few days, I am not stamping/making my Christmas cards this year (gasp!!!), I digi scrapped it *smile* I will post it soon (after I get them mailed).

Although, I like to have some holiday cards on hand for the office, church, and last minute Christmas gifts, and that way I don't have to do a huge assembly line to mass produce...it is fun just to create one at a time :)

another wedding card...

Happy Monday friends!
I have a quick post today...I was supposed to have today off, but the gal covering for me is sick, so I will swap it out for another day :) so off to work I go.

I was nominated by Carol for a blog award...thanks Carol :)

I took a break from my Christmas crafting, since Ashley needed a wedding card for the sweet couple from our church, who tied the knot on December 5th. I made this one last week, which incorporated the color scheme of the wedding. I decided to keep with the same colors for this card too. After messing around with the numerous layers, I finally got it to lay/look right (sometimes this takes longer than expected, LOL!). I then cut out the heart and popped it up with one of my pop dots on steroids (purchased at Michael's~sorry don't know the brand...but they are round)...then added a little rhinestone to the heart for a little "bling"

Damask Christmas

Hi blog friends...
It is Friday~the most wonderful day of the week, LOL! I enjoyed my first day off Yesterday (I am off until Tuesday), I got up, had some coffee with white chocolate peppermint mocha creamer (Safeway brand~yummy, btw!), stayed in my Jammie's until about 11am (so not like me), and wasted some time on the computer (reading blogs and Facebook). Then I did some stamping~finally the ideas are flowing...I managed to get a few cards stamped and some digi projects (can't show those just yet).

I saw a sneak peak of Jan/Feb Papercrafts magazine cover on Facebook...and I totally cased this card (I think it is one of Dawn's)...I made mine more holiday~ish, since I am in full holiday crafting mode.

wedding simplified...

Happy Wednesday...
Are you having a good week?? I hope so. I had planned on some serious stamping time on Monday...and can you believe it~no stamping mojo!!!! argh!!! It is kinda like on your day off when you wake up at 6am.

Mike is doing a wedding ceremony for a couple in our church this Saturday...so I decided to get a jump start on the card (usually I wait until the last minute to put one together, LOL!). I wanted to incorporate her color scheme into the card, I used the less is more theme for this one :)

wedding

I am hoping to finish up my Christmas shopping this week...I am taking off Thursday, Friday, and Monday (trying to use my hoarded vacation days), Although everytime I go into a store, I find a gread deal on something for me, LOL!!! I try to remember what my hubby always tells me~"just because it is on sale, does not mean you have to participate"~I don't know about you...but I just love a good sale!!!

Enjoy today!!!

HB to my SIL...

Hi there...
I hope you had a fabulous long weekend!!! How was your Thanksgiving? We had a very laid back day (just the way I like it), family and food...a nice combo *smile* I posted lots of photos on my 365 blog (been kinda slacking~so made up for it today!!).

Did you venture out for Black Friday??? It was CRAZY this year (much worse than last year)...Kohl's was the absolute worst~Ashley and I waited in line for at least an hour and a half to check out. Luckily I was in good company :) otherwise, I probably would have been kinda grouchy, LOL!!! I did however get 75% of my shopping done, that is a great feeling!!! I just have a few odds and ends to get and some gift cards to finish it up.

My SIL celebrated her birthday on the 26th...so here is the card I made for her. I really wanted to add a button to it, but it just didn't look right~so no button~shocking I know!!!

remember bday

I have today off...I am still trying to use up my hoarded vacation days (I am a definite hoarder, LOL!). I have a few items on my to-do list...and then I hope to get some serious stamp time in *smile* I may even attempt to put up the Christmas tree later this afternoon if my hubby will help me bring it in from the garage for me.

Enjoy your day!!!

Happy Black Friday...
A quickie post for today blog friends. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had a great time with the fam (will have pic's soon), and enjoyed the yummy food and all the fixings (and even did a 4 mile walk with Ashley in the afternoon, so I wouldn't feel so bad, LOL!).

I am still inking up my Holiday Button Bits stamp set...I really love this little gingerbread man~so cute!!!

button tree...

TGIW!!!
Today is my Friday~hooray!!!!
I have another HBB card for ya *smile* I used quite a few buttons on this one, so I am not sure if it will affect the postage or not.
I think it would have been cute to thread all the buttons with twine...but I got lazy and just glued them to the cardstock, LOL!!!

HBB tree

Are you ready for Turkey day??? Last night I braved the crowd and picked up the rest of the items from the grocery store. I started prepping some of the side dishes...so hopefully I won't have tons to do at the last minute. We are going pretty low key this year...just a yummy dinner and family~that is what it is all about anyway (and maybe a few pictures) *smile*

I was so excited on Monday when I got home from work to find this on my doorstep...I had 2 cards published in it *big smile* I knew that I had 2 that had not shown up yet...what a surprise to have them in this publication (it is a good one btw, lots of great ideas).

Another exciting thing...our church collected 83 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child~AWESOME!!!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and if you are crazy like me to shop on Black Friday~have fun!!!!

holly jolly Christmas...

Happy Monday...
How was your weekend? I went to get my
haircut on Friday, when I was making my appointment for 5 weeks out...they said "oh we will be closed on that Friday it is Christmas Day"~YIKES!!!! Have you started your shopping yet??? Ashley and I will probably brave the crowds on Black Friday~crazy, I know!!! But I hope to put a pretty big dent in my Christmas list. Luckily I buy mostly gift cards...so I don't need a lot of gifts. I know Josh wants some stuff from here (me too), and probably a gift card from here, Mike wants this and usually a gift card to here, Ashley is undecided, but was thinking about one of these and maybe gift card to here or here. Nate wants one of these (which I think is funny!!!), I def need some more ideas for him, maybe something for his xbox. Okay enough Christmas chit chat, LOL!

I have been having lots of fun with my new stamp set~Holiday Button Bits (LOVE IT)!!!! I have been using it a lot...I hope you don't get sick of it, LOL!!! At least I am getting stocked up on Christmas cards.

HBB holly

I am excited to have a short work week~yippee!!!
I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner (just for my fam), but I am not going all "Martha Stewart"...just a nice relaxing day of family and food~what could be better than that???

more HBB...

Happy TGIF!!
It was a short week for me (had Monday off), but so glad that the weekend is here!!!

I have been in charge of Operation Christmas Child at our church for the past 3 years...and today I am excited to report that I am dropping off 83 shoe boxes at our local OCC drop-off location (pic's to come next week). It is such an awesome ministry, and I love being a part of it!!! I guess since my Love Language is gifts, it kinda fits *smile*

I know I've said it already, but I am LOVING my new stamp set (Holiday Button Bits), I have been seeing a lot of these colors used for Christmas and I have to say~it is really a pretty combo.

And for some total randomness...I LOVE Paradise Bakery Chocolate Chip cookies (they are delish!!!). Yesterday we had some brought to our office (by the drug reps~I work for Doctors)...I have started doing Weight Watchers again, not to loose a lot of weight, but to help me get back on track, since I fell off the wagon while planning Ashley's wedding last year. I love WW...such a great program to keep you motivated and accountable. Anyway, back to the cookie...Ashley and I decided to calculate the points value of one of those delish rounds of yumminess and can you believe it.....7 points *gasp* considering my point limit for the day is 20....that is a third of my points. Luckily we decided to split it and eat it slowly, LOL!!! I enjoyed every single bite of the 3.5 pt's. How's that for Random, LOL!!!

Enjoy your weekend!!!

lovin' my HBB...

Howdy all...
I hope you are having a terrific week~I had a blast with my friend Sue last week...but it was back to reality yesterday. I figured the massages, eating out and shopping would have to come to an end eventually *sigh*

Mike and I dropped her off at the airport on Monday...and I had some time to break out my Holiday Button Bits *yippee* I am just letting you know~I LOVE THIS SET!!!!!! I only had time to make a couple of cards...but I am anxiously awaiting some weekend stamping time to ink it up again *smile*

HBB snowman

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is next week *gasp* I am starting to stress a little about Christmas shopping (37 days until Christmas)!! I used to make it a goal to have everything purchased and (maybe) wrapped by Thanksgiving...I have been such a slacker the past few years. Ashley and I will most likely go out on Black Friday (I used to swear I would never shop on BF with all those crazy people, LOL!)...but it is a lot of fun (after a Peppermint Mocha, of course). This year we may even do some research to see what we want to wait in line for.

Enjoy Today!

a note to say...Happy Birthday!!!

It's Wednesday...that means one more sleep until my BFF is here to visit (I am doing the Jodene measurement~Hi Jodene). I did stamp a few cards to plan ahead...so hopefully no interruption in the regularly scheduled blog posting (probably just a little less random rambling).

floral frenzy bday

A friend from my church celebrated her 21st birthday on Monday...so I whipped up this little number for her...I told you you would see this layout again, LOL! I am loving PTI Melon Berry!!! And Speaking of PTI...have you seen the preview from yesterday??? I love that set, def going on my must have list!!! I ordered some paper and supplies last week and of course I had to add the Christmas Button Bits set to my order...should be here tomorrow *smile* (probably won't have time to play with it until next week though).

Josh has been playing XBOX non stop since the release of the new Modern Warfare 2 game came out Monday at midnight, it is crazy I tell ya!!! He took a vacation day from work yesterday and has today off from school~I think he is getting Mike hooked too!!! I guess that means more time for stamping time for me, LOL!

birthday wishes...

Another weekend just flew by...
Boy, I wish the weekends were much longer, LOL!!!

cards 006-Edit

I needed a few birthday cards for some November birthdays~here is one I made for my dad. I think it looks pretty masculine...even with the button, LOL!

Saturday was our annual Christmas Family photo shoot...We drove to a neat location in Glendale, and I think I got some good images, although Josh brought his camera too, and he gets a little distracted (which I totally understand, LOL!)~so we may need another shoot with me, Josh and Mike. It was a lot of fun hanging out with the fam (Ashley and Nate came too!). We of course were starving after all those photos~so had dinner here...DELISH!!!! (I decided to take the day off from counting WW points, LOL!).

I have been busy getting my guest room (formerly Ashley's room) ready for my BFF Sue who is going to be visiting this week. I am really excited to catch up with her...it has been too long!!! I have known Sue for 23 years~WOW!!!! Sue are we that old~NOPE!!! (Mike and I rented our first apartment from her, and our kids grew up together. She now lives in Lynchburg, which was so nice when Ashley was attending LU). I am sure we will be all chatted out by Monday when she has to leave!! We are planning on some serious girl time, with massages and pedicures scheduled~Delightful!!!!

I am hoping to keep my regulary scheduled blog posts going! :)

Have a great Monday!!!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 3 weeks away??? Then after that Christmas (has anyone finished their shopping already??) Yikes!!! I am at least hoping to get our family photo done this weekend (we will see if everyone's schedule will allow it). I am trying to think of some creative poses, I did find a great location...so hopefully it will be a success!!! This was last years card.

big blooms...

Hi All,
Another quick post for today~I am actually off from work today *smile* trying to use up some of my vacation days (I kinda hoard them, LOl!). I am calling it a mental health day :) I am hoping to do some fun stuff...but I have lots to catch up on (ironing has been on my list for a few weeks now~yuck!)

While I was stamping on Saturday, I had some scraps laying on my table...Dark Chocolate/Melon Berry/Pure Poppy, I thought they looked nice together, so decided to give them a try.

big blooms

Not my usual color combo, but it is kinda growing on me.

damask~just because

YES, Friday is here!!!!

damask enchanted evening

I have another Damask Design card for you today...I hope you are not getting sick of seeing cards with DD :) I promise to ink up a few different stamp sets for next week's posts. I have been super busy with my photography session/editing/etc...that last night I realized I didn't have anything to post for today *gasp*, so whipped this up in a jiff!!! I couldn't leave my blog friends without some paper crafting goodness!!! The card came together really fast and could almost be used as a "guy card" (maybe with out the button and ribbon, LOL!).

Hope you have some fun stuff planned for the weekend!!! Ashley let us borrow this movie, and it has been sitting on my coffee table for almost 2 weeks...planning to watch it, and I am hopefully going to finish my editing from last Saturday's photo shoot...then on Saturday doing a mini session for a teen at church that is going to homecoming. And lots of other random stuff...

Enjoy your weekend!!!!

Halloween Treats...

Happy Wednesday!!!
How is your week going? Do you have any plans for Halloween? Mike and I will probably just hang out at home and watch a movie (since our kids are a little old for trick or treating).

Thought I would post the treats I made for the office (plus Ashley's treat's too~we work together). I found these cute cups at Target and filled them with some Halloween candy, tied it up with some curling ribbon and stamped (Halloween stamp set by Recollections) and punched a little tag~easy peasy!!!

And my cute daughter who is a little crafty herself...made these for the office :) She also got her supplies at Target.

And since I totally forgot to post my Boss Day goodies...thought I would add it to this post *smile*

Lots of packaged goodness for today's post.

Have a terrific Wednesday!!!

lots of circles...

Happy Monday my friends!
Another weekend bites the dust~whew! I had a great one though, even if it was busy. Friday night Ashley and I went to WW to weigh in (we both re-joined to stay on track through the tempting holidays), then met up with Josh and Nate at Applebees. Saturday (bright and early I might add), Josh, Ashley and I went to do a family shoot (8 people) for a friend of Josh. It went pretty well (I think I am getting the hang of it), then on Saturday night I went with Ashley, Josh, Ryan (Josh's friend) to check out this new place that just opened up~it was AWESOME!!!!! I have never been in one before and I have to say, I am going to frequent it a LOT!!! Sunday I tried to catch up on some housework and laundry (not really very fun), and my hubby comes home today from his visit back east :)

So onto the card...
A few weeks ago I submitted 5 cards for an upcoming Stamp It magazine, and 4 were chosen for publication *happy face* This one didn't make it, so thought I would post it on my blog. After I took the photo, I noticed a hair on the card~and I was too lazy to re-take the picture, LOL!

Okay...told you it would be a quick post, LOL. I have a busy weekend planned (I need to stop cramming so much into my weekends!!!), so I will see ya on Monday!!!

damask thanks...

I finally broke down and bought Damask Designs!!! UPS delivered my order on Monday and I had a few moments to play last night. Not sure I am in love with this particular layout, but it might grow on me.

damask thank you

My hubby is in CT this week visiting his family, his mom had a pretty bad fall a few months ago and he flew out to help her out. He told me last night that he was going to clean her house for her today (after almost 24 years of wedded bliss~he is trained pretty well, don't ya think???). He hasn't been back to our hometown in over 8 years, so I am sure he is having a fun time....even if he is freezing, LOL!

So what do I have planned for my week of singleness??? Nothing too exciting!! Josh and I are doing a family photo shoot on Saturday morning, so that should be fun :) And of course there will probably be some stamping *smile*

Enjoy Today!!!

Here is the card I made for baby W...I just love the little onsie image, and of course I paper pieced it...not sure if you can tell from the photo...but I have been using new pop dots that are on steroids, LOL!!!

I also have some Papertrey goodies on the way *woot woot* (didn't order any of the new release stuff yet, because I am still trying to decide).

I used my Everyday Button Bits for this card (have I mentioned before how much I love this set, LOL!!!). I was really happy with the color combo as well really soft and pretty. I stamped the flower in Summer Sunrise ink, using my Text Box set, onto Lemon Tart Cardstock...I just love stamping my own patterned paper :)

It is starting to feel like fall here in AZ...well sort of!! The temps are def cooling off and it is getting darker earlier (we don't change our clocks here). So that means soup time!!! Have you seen the new button stamp set over at Papertrey??? So stinkin' cute!!! That one is def going on my must have list!!!

I hope you had a great weekend!!! I made it to the movies to see Couples Retreat...I enjoyed it, but think it should have been rated R rather than PG-13 (there were a lot of sexual innuendos)...but very funny :)

Have you heard of Once a Month Cooking??? I bought this cookbook at Costco the other day because it intrigued me...Ashley and I are going to give it a try to see if we like it. The thought of having a months worth of meals in the freezer really does sound pretty nice!!! (We may start with 2 weeks first~not to overwhelm ourselves, LOL!). We have to set a date to shop/cook...I'll let you know how it goes.

just a note for Tracy...

Happy Wednesday... I hope you are having a great week :)

floral frenzy nqn

I have really enjoyed my 2 days off this week (my mental health days), although I think I had some unrealistic expectations as to how much I would get done, LOL! I tried not to stress too much about the regular stuff and tried to focus on fun stuff!!! I have been working on some cards for publication and for my blog...for 2 days my craft table looked like a tornado hit it...I finally straightened it up last night. Also Mike was also home with me on Monday and Tuesday, so we got to spend some quality time together...it is back to work today though!!!

I made this sympathy card for someone who just lost her 4 year old son, Nate to complications from H1N1. So very sad!!!! I don't know her personally, but she is a part of a photography forum that I frequent. I just wanted to let her know how that I am thinking of her!! I cannot even imagine the pain she is going through!! If you have a moment think/pray for Tracy today!!!

I still have a few stamp sets for sale...if you are interested you can check them out here

another baby card...and MY STAMP SALE!!!

Happy Monday Friends...
I hope you had a marvelous weekend! Ashley and I went to the movies on Saturday, which is always fun having a girls day out. And Mike and I celebrated Ashley and Nate's one year anniversary with them last night. We ate at this yummy place (I don't even want to know how many WW points I consumed...but it was a LOT!!!).

I needed a baby card for a new baby at our church (we have several on the way), I used my Hampton Art set (purchased at Michael's), Oh Baby. Of course I paper pieced the stork to match the polka dotted cardstock. I even pulled out my markers to color the baby.

Stamps for Sale!!!
I mentioned last week that I was going to go through my stamp sets and put them up for sale on EBay. I thought I would offer them here on my blog first and next week list them with EBay. I listed them with photos on Flickr, and the prices are in the comment section. All stamps are in good to excellent condition and from a smoke free home.

I will ship (within the US) with a flat rate envelope or box (depending on amount of stamps purchased), which starts at $4.95. If you are outside the US I will need to weigh the package at the post office and then email you your total.

HB to Nathan!!!!

Today is my nephew's birthday...Happy Birthday Nathan!!!!!

nathans bday

I pulled out my Cornish Heritage Farms stamp set called Cutie Pet-Tootie (I love that name, LOL!) and of course, since I don't really like how my marker colored images look...I paper pieced (one of my favorite techniques!!). I then popped the doggie up with some pop dots that I purchased recently at Michael's (and these babies really pop up your image!).

I am so excited to have the next few days off from work...I don't really have anything planned, but hope to have a few mental health days :) I do plan on going through my SU! sets to sell (and I did get contacted by a few blog readers for my list before I list them on ebay~I should have it ready early this week).

I may even get some digi scrapping in, which I haven't had time for in ages. Josh and I have another photoshoot coming up too!!! Good times :)

Hope you have a super weekend!!!

happy hearts...

Happy Wednesday!!!
I am relieved to have made it to the middle of the week...I just started off the week tired, and when that happens...I just feel grouchy :( I did get 8 hours of sleep last night, so hopefully today will be brighter (for everyone), LOL!!!

I am on a SU! card makin' roll. I pulled out another of my favorite SU! sets (retired)~Happy Hearts...don't you think this heart image looks like a cowboy hankie? I also used some Cameo Coral (I used to use this color all the time...until I discovered Berry Sorbet from PTI), I also added some Ruby Red and Not Quite Navy...really a pretty color combo, IMO.

happy hearts coral

Yesterday I picked up my new glasses (although I wear contacts the majority of the time)...when I got home Mike didn't even notice (which is not really like him~nothing EVER gets past him!). I said "do you like my new spec's?" and he said they look like my old ones~geesh!!!! At least I can see better with them!!! You can see them here.

I am planning on taking off a few days next week, to just do some fun stuff~stamp, take pictures, organize (I know weird...but I think it is fun), and go through my SU! stamp sets. I am going to put them on EBay and hopefully send them to a new home...if you are interested in my "For Sale" list of stamp sets, leave me a comment (make sure you leave me a way to get a hold of you) or email me and once I get the list together I will forward it on to you.

Have a Fabulous day!!!

a happy SU! hello...

Hi'ya peeps!
I hope your Monday is off to a great start...I did absolutely nothing productive over the weekend. I just felt like doing nothing~so I did, LOL! I am sure I will be stressed this week, feeling like I am behind, but oh well, sometimes you just gotta let the housework and groceries go!!! Which makes me wonder what we will have for dinner tonight!!

I did have some time in my craft room~which made me happy!!! I pulled out some of my old SU! sets and was feeling pretty creative (: I will try to not post a Papertrey card this week~it will be hard, but I can do it!!). I used one of my all time favorite SU! sets Petal Prints...this one has gotten inked up a lot in the past (I think it is retired now). I just love it!!! I don't think I will ever part with it. I also used another fav of mine...Lots of Thoughts, and of course I had to use some ribbon and a button (I def need a 12 step program~I am Gretchen, and I am addicted to buttons!!!).

petal prints hello

I was contacted by Carol about a week ago...she is a sweet blog reader (: She asked me if I would mind if she posted pictures of my craft space in her article for the Examiner, I was honored and excited that she asked~thanks again Carol!!! Here is the link to the article...it was really neat to see my space online!

Have a terrific Monday!

I am thinking I may need to make a PTI order soon...because I am starting to feel the need for some new stuff!!!

Ashley is in California with Nate for a conference until Monday night, so that means I am working today (I had to do a 5 day work week *crazy*, LOL! I am realizing how spoiled I am to have my Fridays off!!!).

Lots of stuff planned for the weekend...hope I can get it all done, I may just decide watch movies with Mike!

casing myself...

Howdy,
I have another quickie post~I am really hoping my week isn't as crazy as last week!!! We celebrated Sharon's birthday on Saturday night~good times!!! I knew I wanted to use my EBB stamp set (love these little chicks!!!). I know I made a card very similar to this one in the past...but I really like the color combo, and it sort of matched the little basket I put Sharon's gift in. I always have fun celebrating birthdays!!! And I love buying and assembling gifts~probably because my love language is gifts *smile*

EBB chickadee

And I am starting to realize that I have an addiction to buttons!!!

Now for some randomness~I recently went to the eye doctor (March), for my yearly exam...and my prescription pretty much stayed the same from the previous year, so I bought a years worth of lenses...well, over the past few weeks I have has some serious issues with my vision!!! I called the Doctors office and got in for an exam~my left eye went up 2 steps (I am nearsighted) and my right eye has astigmatism!!! No wonder I couldn't see, LOL! Unfortunately since I cut the tops from my contact boxes for my rebate I couldn't return my old lenses~BUMMER!!! But on the up side~Ashley helped me pick out some new glasses (will post pic's when they come in this week). Needless to say, I will not buy my contacts in bulk anymore!!! Getting old kinda stinks (the eye doctor even used the B word with me~you know...bifocals *gasp* I am holding off on those for now), LOL!!!

Have a terrific Day!!!

Supplies used: (PTI unless noted): Everyday Button Bits stamp set; Aqua Mist/Berry Sorbet/Choc Chip (SU!)/Whisper White (SU!) cardstock; Choc Chip (SU!) ink; Vintage Buttons; Doily Lace Edge punch (EK Success); Brown Dotted Satin Ribbon; Twine (SU!)
