spring moss smile...

Hi friends!
I hope you had a Fantastic weekend!!  I was a little bummed that it rained on Sunday (we were supposed to do our family Christmas photo), we hardly ever get rain in AZ, can you believe that it rained on Sunday??  Oh well~we rescheduled to next Sunday.

I have been on an organizing kick lately, which is probably due to the fact that I am trying to get my "ducks in a row" before I start my new job in a couple of weeks. On the agenda today...I am going through my closet after work. I recently downloaded THIS book onto my Kindle App for my iPhone, which is really inspiring me to get rid of stuff!!  I also ordered THIS book over the weekend (my hubby always gets nervous when I am on an organizing kick, LOL!).

Since I am in a simplifying mood~I have a clean and simple card for you (no shocker there, right??).  I pulled out and dusted off my Cuttlebug embossing folders, I think it adds just enough detail to the card base.

sweet of you...

Hi Blog friends!
I hope you week is off to a great start!! I got a few things crossed off my to-do list on Monday, which always makes me happy!! I had been wanting to organize my cards for a while (and boy, I have quite a few, LOL!) and I think I have finally come up with a solution~which I will blog about on Friday, stay tuned :)

I signed up for this class last week (along with my friend Cindy~hi friend!!); and I am super excited to get my first lesson on Thursday~I am sure I will be blogging about it along the way, LOL!!
**and I think there is still time to sign up if you are interested~and all you need is your creativity and a camera (oh yeah, and the $36 class fee).**

Yesterday Mike and I (mostly Mike), finished our taxes...such a great feeling to get that over with~I might even get to make a stamp order with some of the refund $ *woot woot*

Today's card was inspired by Maile's card, which you can see here; I just love her stamping style!! After playing around with the different layers/cardstock...this is what I came up with.

embossed leaves...

Happy Monday Friends!!!
I cannot believe that Christmas is over~it always comes and goes so fast! Did you get any new stamping stuff from Santa??? I made an order from Papertrey with some of my Christmas $$, so I am hoping to get some "happy mail" this week.

Mike and I decided to not exchange gifts this year (which was really hard for me, because I am a gift person...I especially like giving gifts!). Well he surprised me with something I have been wanting for a while (I haven't taken a picture yet..so I will post on Wednesday what it is *wink*). He is the best hubby ever (even if he doesn't follow the rules)!!!

I am going to be on a thank you card kick for a little while (LOL! consider yourself warned). I have lots to send out for Christmas thank you's. Here is one I made last week, I actually pulled out my embossing stuff (which I haven't used for a LONG time). I really like how the clear embossing powder gives a darker/shiney color to the stamped image. I will probably be embossing more...since I forgot how cool it is.

thursday ramblings...

Happy Thursday...
I was busy all day yesterday with Ashley, we had a fun time together. She needed a Christmas tree, so we looked at a few places and ended up at Joann's (if you are in the market for an artificial tree, they are 50% off this week). She scored with a tree and ornaments for under $60. We then went to JCPenney (since I found an old gift card in my wallet the other day...I like to hoard my gift cards...I know it is a problem...but it was a nice surprise *smile*), and they were having a door-buster sale...I love a SALE!!!!! I also had a coupon for $10 off any purchase of $10 or more, a $20 gift card...I came out of there with 2 sweaters and a necklace and only had to kick in $6~AWESOME! I did also get a few items on my Christmas list...so I felt pretty productive.

I needed a sympathy card this week for someone at church who lost her mother. I really do not enjoy making sympathy cards! For this one I used some iridescent ice embossing powder to emboss the flower image on black paper...it is prettier irl!

I was thrilled to get some happy mail yesterday!!!! I ordered a few books from some of Amazon's used book sellers and scored big!!!! I paid $1.99 for 2 of the books and $4.99 for the other! I cannot wait to have some free time to flip through them.

Enjoy today!
