what do I use on my pits?

I am so glad you asked, LOL!!

A few months ago I was watching a health show, where they were talking about the aluminum in antiperspirant, and how it is bad for you (especially on freshly shaved skin).  My mother in law has been saying this for years.  Dr Oz has addressed this on his show, and said that there has not been any studies done to prove it is bad for you, but who wants to put aluminum on your delicate underarm skin??

They had the creator of Schmidt's Deodorant on the show, talking about her all natural product.  I was intrigued, so I ordered a jar to try myself (THIS is the one I ordered).  I have to say, I really like it and it smells SO GOOD!!  The only downfall is that you have to apply it with your fingers (it comes with a small spatula to get the product out of the jar) instead of using a regular deodorant applicator (which isn't too much of a downfall).

When I received the jar in the mail,  I thought it was a little small, but it has  been economical.  You only need a small amount, the size of a pea (for both pits!).

I LOVE the smell of the Lavendar & Sage deoderant and I have not had any complaints of smelling bad, so it seems to be working.  I showed Ashley and she said I should do a blog post about it, LOL!  So here it is!

While browsing Pinterest, I found THIS DIY recipe.  I think I might give it a try once I run out of my Schmidt's (it seems to have the same ingredients in it, and you can put it in an applicator). Plus I like to make my own stuff, makes me feel all domesticated!!

Dog Walking...

I am excited to be back!  It is my plan to post on Monday-Wednesday-Friday (like I used to).  But even though today is Thursday (but feels like Monday), I wanted to get in the routine of posting.

Mike and I LOVE our 2 pit bulls, Sophie and Bella.  They are a little spoiled.
When I find an awesome pet product~of course I need to share!!  Recently I discovered the Easy Walk Harness and let me tell you~Now I feel like the Dog Whisperer when I walk these girlies.  Before, with the leash only, they did pretty good when walked individually (they are still learning not to pull), but when they were together, it was a different story (they both want to be out front).  Since they weigh 80 and 60 pounds, I want to be in control when I walk them by myself!  The harnesses are worth every penny!!

And of course I need to show you a picture of these cuties modeling their harnesses.

Happy dog Walking!!
Enjoy today!

Product Review!

Posted by Ashley

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great week so far. Sorry I have been MIA lately... life has been super busy. I want to follow up on a product I recently introduced on the blog. I finally got a chance to try the Garnier Fructis Blow Dry Perfector. I found it at my local Target and it cost about $10-$11. It is definitely an easy process and only has two steps, which is great! Overall, I thought the product worked wonderfully and I would definitely recommend it! The only downside is that the first step (Smooth-It Serum) has a really pungent smell... almost like sulfur. I was expecting it to smell similar to hair color treatments, but it was very different. Luckily, the second step (Heat-Activated Perfect-It Cream) smells great. Out of five stars, I would give this product four and a half.

Once I completed the steps and used the blow dryer, my hair was straighter than it has ever been, even before using the flat iron. Normally, when I blow-dry my hair, it is a frizz ball. Then I end up frying my hair because I have to use my flat iron for a long time (in case you are curious, I use and love the professional tools from CHI - they're expensive, but totally worth it!). This is what it looked like right after blow drying:

And this is after using the flat iron:

As you can see, I didn't even really need to use the flat iron. This product really follows through on its promise! For girls with curly/frizzy hair... give this product a try!!
