Happy {HEART} Day!!

I don't know what it is about Valentine's Day, but I love giving little gifts to people (it must go back to my school days and the Valentine cards I gave to my classmates).  This year I thought I would make a little something for the girls in my department at work.  I found these cute little containers at my local grocery store (marked down to $1.49), and bought some of my favorite chocolates to put inside.  I am guessing that each one cost me about $2.25 (not too bad, if I do say so myself).

My plan was to put these treats on my coworkers desks this morning, but I am home sick from work *BOO!!*.  I will spare you the mucous-y details, but I am happy it isn't the stomach flu (I am drinking my grape juice)!!

And since I took Monday off too, they won't get them until Tuesday (But chocolate is always well received, even late, right?).  I hope they don't read my blog and spoil the LATE surprise!!

Happy {HEART} Day!!

bring on the love...

Hi all!!
I hope you had a Happy {heart} day!!  Mike and I took Kodi for a walk after work then we had grilled cheese and soup for dinner~pretty romantic, huh??  I have to say that it was totally fine with me!!  Comfort food, dinner & TV with my hubby and my yoga pants = pure bliss.  I love THIS show!!  Have you seen it??

I have one more Valentine/Love post for you, even though Valentines Day was yesterday (I am typing this post up on Tuesday night, so does that count???).  Here is the card I made for my hubby for heart day.
valentine love makes the world go round 2
During the holiday's I signed up for Ali Edwards stamp of the month, so I could get her December Daily stamp at a discount.  Here is the set I received in the mail for January.  I think it will be a nice addition to my Project Life (if I ever take it out of the box, LOL!!) journaling cards.  Luckily I document for the previous year and not week by week (I would never keep up that way, LOL!!).

Enjoy today!!

easy gift card holder...

Happy Monday!!
I had time to get a little crafty this weekend *woot*
I always try to do a little something for the peeps on the Hospitality Team at my church, and with Valentine's day coming up, I whipped up these cute little gift card holders.

I purchased some gift cards at Orange Leaf (because not everyone drinks coffee~gasp!!!) & Starbucks.  I pulled out some of my retired SU! paper (this series goes way back!!), and my nestability circle/scallop dies and these came together pretty fast!!

valentine gift card holder 2
valentine gift card holder 1

Here are the directions:
1.  Cut a piece of patterned paper 8 x 4 inches (score at 4 inches; fold).
2.  Use circle punch or nestability die to cut half circle on the top.
3.  I added a small clear bag to hold the gift card inside (purchased at Michael's in the cake decorating section); add a dot of adhesive to the bag to hold in place, adhere on the inside.
4.  use adhesive to glue sides together; fold.
5.  Insert gift card into clear bag, trim bag (if needed), fold and tape closed.
6.  Tie ribbon around the base.
7.  Cut out sentiment/scallop with nestabilities; adhere to gift card holder with a pop dot.  Viola!!!

I made the tags in Photoshop; and of course I will share!!

Enjoy Today!!

Hi friends!!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments!  I have really missed blogging, and I am so looking forward to getting back to regularly scheduled blog posts!!

The first week at my new job went great, I am looking forward to streamlining the office, and organize it a bit.  I worked from home on Thursday and part of Friday and I think I am going to like LOVE it!!  I know Kodi likes having me home, LOL!!  He sleeps right next to me while I am entering info into my billing program.

Since I am a little behind schedule with Valentines Day this year, I whipped up a candy wrapper in Photoshop that you can just print, score and tape.  it is Super easy!!  And if you are a busy like me these days, and still want to remember your favorite peeps with a little "sweet" treat, here ya go!!

Happy {heart} Day!!

Happy Valentine's Day Friends!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I was busy with birthday and Valentine stuff (which was lots of fun!!). I got to get a little crafty~which is always a plus *smile*. Friday night I made one of Mike's favorite dinners for his actual birthday, and on Sunday the kids all came over to help us celebrate. In between all the celebrating~I whipped up a few Valentine's for my favorite peeps!!

I saw this post a while back, and thougth it would be cute to make it into a Valentine's Day theme box.

I made these for the girlies. I found the containers at the Dollar Tree, and filled them up with red, pink, and white goodies (along with a Starbuck's gift card). Lots of fun to put together too!!

turning a new leaf~Valentine style...

Hello there...
Hope your weekend was Marvelous! Did you watch the Superbowl?? Our church had a Superbowl party last night, but at the last minute I decided to stay home (I am not really a football fan), which ended up being really nice! I love having the house to myself sometimes (well all the pets were still here, LOL!). I did some laundry and surfed the web for a couple of hours (just wasting time~it was sorta fun!!).

My hubby is going to celebrate his birthday on Friday (2/11) and I am having such a hard time coming up with a theme (birthdays are special in the Clark house!!), he is so hard to buy for/theme a party around!! . I am hoping today I will get some inspiration~since I don't have much time left!! Let me just say when you google "party ideas for guys" the results are not really what I had in mind, LOL!!

I have a growing list of cards to make~so luckily I had a little time to get "inky" on Saturday night while Mike was studying. I whipped up this little number for my hubs for Valentine's Day (hope he doesn't check out my blog!!). I popped the hearts up with some pop dots (which I had to cut very small). I tried not to girl it up too much!!

I am thinking of starting my 365 blog again...I have really missed being creative with my camera and decided to jump back on the POTD (photo of the day/week) wagon. I am going to play along here too, which seems like fun!! If you want to play too~join the Flickr Group here.

Ok Friends...make today a GREAT one!!

warm & cozy CASE...

Happy February!
Boy time is really moving along these days. I hope you week is off to a great start.

My week has been a little crazy, there have been some changes in my office recently, so I am trying to adapt, LOL!! One of the Doctors that worked in the office, closed his practice, so this is the first week with one less person in the office, which is a little weird. We also changed the front office around, so I have felt a little "out of sorts" trying to get used to my new system (I am realizing that I am a creature of habit, LOL!)~change is good though! I am not complaining...I think it keeps you young, LOL!

Here is a quick card, which I totally case'd (copy and share everything) from Nicole (I seriously LOVE her stamping style~I know I say this all the time, but she is so talented!!). Of course I changed it up a bit, since I don't own all the PTI stamps/dies (a girl can dream!!). Don't you think this would make a great Valentine's Day card?? Especially with a Starbucks gift card inside *smile*

warm happiness 2 red_0003

I have a few more organizing posts, which I hope to get up on the o'l blog soon.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!!

Mon Ami...

Happy Monday Friends...Do you have the day off today?? Unfortunately I do not (but my hubs does~lucky him!!!). I really hate having to go to work when he is home~cause I want to spend the day with him~but he is going to be working on our taxes~so I may have a better time at work, LOL! Maybe he will surprise me for lunch!!

Did you have a nice Valentine's Day?? We celebrated Mike's Birthday with the fam, so it was a fun day ;) I took lots of pictures, but I did not have time to edit them last night, so I will post them sometime this week (most likely on my 365 blog).

Here is another Valentine card I made last week...I really love the softness of Aqua Mist and Sweet Blush together~really pretty.

Valentine's Day Treats...

Happy TGIF friends!!!
Are you ready for Valentine's Day? It snuck up on my this year~and being sick this week didn't help matters. So last night I whipped up some quick treat bags for the office. I have always enjoyed Valentine's Day, and have great memories of making cards/gifts with Ashley and Josh (when they were younger) for their classes. I had fun assembling these *smile*

I picked up the bags at Target and just filled them with some of my favorite candy...then added a quick 3x3 card and viola'!

amour...

Hi friends,
I hope your week is off to a great start! Today is going to be quick, because I have not been feeling great~I was out sick yesterday with the stomach flu (not fun!!), and still have a lingering headache, so my recreational computer time has been little to none :(

Valentine's Day is quickly approaching and sort of snuck up on me...so here is a quick Heart Day card. I used my Nestabilities square die to make the cut out in the front of the card, then popped it up with some pop dots for extra dimension.

Hi all...
I have been under the weather for a couple of days, I don't usually get sick...so when I do it is really an inconvenience!!!
Last night I whipped up my Valentine Day treats for everyone in my office, since I don't usually work on Friday...I am giving them out today. I wish I felt better, because I had something totally different in mind for these Trendy Tubes. I was happy with the end result, although I have a few left that I want to experiment with. I have been eating m&m's like crazy...I have a bowl left that I hope Josh will polish off!!!
Okay, a quick post today, since I am still feeling yucky and off to work.
Thanks for stopping by...Enjoy today!!!

abc~love u...

Happy Wednesday!
I have another Valentine card for you...when Papertrey had their January release, I decided to get the Fresh Alphabet stamp set. I really liked the look of it, and who cannot use another alphabet set, right? I am so glad I got it, because I really {heart} it!!!! I know I have said this before, but the best part about PTI stamps is that you can see exactly where you are stamping...an AWESOME thing when you are using an alpha set. I also have been using my neglected cuttlebug...I forgot how much I liked it!!!
Any Biggest Looser fans??? I could not believe Carla and Joelle-CRAZY!!!!!! I hope Carla is the biggest looser!!!!
Enjoy your day!!!

wild about you...

Happy Monday Everyone...are you ready for a new week?

I hope you had a great weekend*smile* I did the usual stuff, groceries, cleaning, laundry and a little stamping (a girl has to have some fun right?). I was still in Valentine mode, so I have a few more "heart day" cards to share with you this week. I pulled out this stamp set last week, because I had this card idea in my head (but never got to it). Luckily I left the stamp set on my table, and it reminded me, so viola!. I also pulled out my Cuttlebug to give the card some added embossed texture. I also paper pieced the lion's head and popped it up with a dimensional. I was also thinking the perfect line for in side the card Front: wild about you Inside: I'm not lion (ha ha!!! I crack myself up sometimes!).

I am still plugging away at my new PS CS3 software, I used a different color background (to photograph) to help with the color cast...I love a challenge...I will get it eventually!!!!

Enjoy today~thanks for visiting!!!

Valentine Week...day 5

TGIF my friends!!! I am so glad it is the weekend!!!!
Here is my #5 card for Valentine Week. I decided to try another bright one. I really do like Papertrey's Summer Sunrise and Raspberry Fizz together (kinda reminds me of rainbow sherbet ice cream, yummy!). I cut out 2 of the hearts and popped them up with pop dots to give the card some added dimension, and of course I had to add some ribbon.
Mike and I celebrate our 23rd anniversary this Sunday...it is hard to believe that we have been married so long (I will keep him). Not sure what we are going to do to celebrate...but luckily for him I am a cheap date...I am happy sipping coffee and watching a movie, LOL!
Enjoy your weekend!

Hi all...
Here is card #4 for my Valentine Week...I am a frequent reader of Dawn's blog, she makes some really pretty cards. One thing I love about her cards is her color combos...so bright and cheery. I tried my had one, and was pretty happy with the outcome.
I am hoping to get my Papertrey order today...I ordered some of these, and hope to make something fun for Valentine's Day...my brain has been turning and I have a few ideas for them. (hope they turn out like I have them pictured in my head, LOL!).

Valentine Week...day 3

Howdy...
Here is card #3 for Valentine Week, I used the stamp set Happy Hearts from SU! which has gotten a lot of use by me over the years. I think this tall heart image is my favorite in the set. I used Pure Poppy and Sweet Blush ink and cardstock from Papertrey Ink, and it is such a pretty Valentine combo!

Are you doing anything fun for Heart Day? I may try to think ahead and plan some sort of love themed meal...we will see how ambitious I get, lol! I do think Valentine's Day is such a fun holiday...because who doesn't like getting a card???

Did anyone see the Biggest Looser last night??? I cannot believe that Joelle did not get voted out!!! I am happy for her partner Carla, though:) that show is addicting!!!

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy today!!

Valentine Week...Day 2

Happy Tuesday!

Here is my card #2 for Valentine Week. I have seen so many cute tree stamps lately and really liked this one that Kristina Werner used...since I didn't really have anything that looked close to it...I scoured my stamp room for something similar, and decided on Rustic Branches (along with some heart images from various stamp sets). This was a super easy card, and I love the simpleness of it, (I may give his one to my hubby for our anniversary on Jan 25th).

Have a terrific Tuesday!!!

Valentine Week...

Hi all...
Happy Monday, I hope you had a terrific weekend. It was in high 70's here all weekend...so gorgeous!

I was able to make it into my stamp room, so that always makes for a great weekend *wink*. I made a few Valentine's Day cards, so this week will be "Valentine Week". I am slowly but surely using up my "hoarded" patterned paper. I have to say this was one of my favorite patterns, probably because it is pink and brown, one of my favorite color combos (I only have a small square left)...SUCCESS!!

I am off to work today...not a long weekend for me.
Enjoy Today!!!
