dusted off my out on a limb set...

I LOVE "that time of the month" over at Nichole's blog!! Last week she made a card using the Out on a Limb set and decided to pull out my dusty set as well!!! I never thought to turn the limb on it's side~she is so CLEVER!!!

out on a limb

Today I am hopefully making some Father's Day cards (nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh??). I also hope to have a few minutes to work on my Project Life album, since it seems to get pushed to the bottom of my list these days *sad face*

and for some randomness...Last night Josh and I took Kodi to the Bark Park~He Loves it (Kodi, and Josh too, LOL!!). Josh takes Kodi there a few times a week. I had never been and wanted to see Kodi in "action". He is such a crazy dog!! I think he has ADHD, it was fun to watch him run around without a leash and play with all the other dogs. I tried to snap a photo~but he was having too much fun for a photo shoot...maybe next time!!!

Enjoy Today!!!

oh baby...

Hi friends!! I hope your weekend was Fantastic ;)

Saturday afternoon I went to a baby shower for a friend~she is having a boy, so of course I had to whip up a baby card!!! I used some of my favorite colors: Aqua Mist/Certainly Celery/Lemon Tart.

She asked me to take photos of the shower for her, so I knew I wanted to get her a nice album to put her photos in; and I found the cutest baby photo album at Target (I LOVE Target!!) with these colors in it~PERFECT!!! (I didn't see the album online; I would have linked it~must be in stores only)

baby boy

Ashley and Nate were out of town for the weekend, so I went and picked up Hershey on Saturday, so he wouldn't be all alone. He even spent the night (I let him sleep next to me, and he stayed there all night). Isn't be cute?? Kodi didn't really mind having him around, but the cats were not really sure about this tiny barking thing, LOL!!!

turning a new leaf~Valentine style...

Hello there...
Hope your weekend was Marvelous! Did you watch the Superbowl?? Our church had a Superbowl party last night, but at the last minute I decided to stay home (I am not really a football fan), which ended up being really nice! I love having the house to myself sometimes (well all the pets were still here, LOL!). I did some laundry and surfed the web for a couple of hours (just wasting time~it was sorta fun!!).

My hubby is going to celebrate his birthday on Friday (2/11) and I am having such a hard time coming up with a theme (birthdays are special in the Clark house!!), he is so hard to buy for/theme a party around!! . I am hoping today I will get some inspiration~since I don't have much time left!! Let me just say when you google "party ideas for guys" the results are not really what I had in mind, LOL!!

I have a growing list of cards to make~so luckily I had a little time to get "inky" on Saturday night while Mike was studying. I whipped up this little number for my hubs for Valentine's Day (hope he doesn't check out my blog!!). I popped the hearts up with some pop dots (which I had to cut very small). I tried not to girl it up too much!!

I am thinking of starting my 365 blog again...I have really missed being creative with my camera and decided to jump back on the POTD (photo of the day/week) wagon. I am going to play along here too, which seems like fun!! If you want to play too~join the Flickr Group here.

Ok Friends...make today a GREAT one!!

best wishes...

Hi' ya'll! I am soooo happy today is Friday (I know I say this every single week, LOL!)!! It has been a long week for me. Today post is gonna be kinda quick...

I have worked as the office manager in a doctor's office for the past 8 years, and today is the last day for one of the Doctor's in our office, he is closing his practice. I sure will miss him in the office!! I wanted to make up a little going away/thanks for being a great boss gift for him, so I filled this jar (which I purchased here), with some York Peppermint patties~yum!! I also made up a quick tag for the front of the jar with my most recent go-to stamp set/die, and made a color coordinated card for a Starbucks gift card. I left it on his desk last night~so he will get it first thing today when he comes into work. I love being secretive like that, LOL!

I will have my organization Day 3 post up a little later today (which will be posted below this post)~I would love to know if you like/dislike these types of non-stamping related posts~please drop me an email me/leave a comment.

Happy Friday!! Have a terrific weekend!!

charlie the dog...

Happy Friday!
I hope you had a great week~I know I am looking forward to the weekend!! I have been on an organizing kick lately (which makes me feel so good!!), purging and re-organizing does the mind and body good (that is my motto anyway, LOL!).
I have been following a 21 day plan to organize in small bits and pieces (which is less intimidating and pretty easy to keep up with); I will post it next week in case you are interested, along with photos (even better right???). Unfortunately I didn't take too many "before" photos, so it will just be mostly "after" (but those are the ones that matter anyway!!).

In the office building I work in, there is a gal named Colleen (in the suite next to us), who brings her dog Charlie to work with her on a regular basis. He is an Airedale Terrier, and such a sweet natured doggie. I found out last Friday that Charlie had to be put to sleep due to a liver problem; SO SAD!!! He was 12 years old, in human years (which is pretty old in doggie years). I will sure miss seeing him for his regular visits to our office.

I wanted to make a card for Colleen to let her know how much I will miss seeing Charlie. Here is what I came up with, I only have one dog image, which I purchased a few years ago from Cornish Heritage Farms (which is now closed), which made me realize, I need some more pet stamps!!

Here is a photo I found online that looks a lot like Charlie; I am so glad that all dogs go to heaven!!! RIP Charlie :(

warm happiness too...

Happy Wednesday!!
I am gonna have another quick post for you today...Mike and I have a few shows to catch up on (Tuesday night is when I am typing my actual post), (boy I LOVE my DVR!!!).

My MIL celebrated her birthday on Sunday, and since pink is one of her favorite colors, I had to go with a bright pink color. I was also anxious to ink up my new PTI stamp set, Warm Happiness Too, and since my MIL is a coffee drinker, it was a done deal. I also used my new Circle/Scalloped Circle Nestabilies (which I purchased with a Hobby Lobby holiday gift card), and popped the coffee mug up with a pop dot. Not sure if you can tell from the photo...but I also added some Crystal Effects on the stamped coffee area, which made it look like real coffee inside the mug *the things that get me excited, LOL*.

And I am slowly but surely plugging away at editing my November/December photos~just had to post this one of me and Hershey (I LOVE that little doggie!!).

yummy "pink" cupcake birthday...

Hi all!
I hope you are having a great week~mine has been...well lets just say...sorta crappy!!! Ever have one of those days? I seem to be having one of those weeks~but I am hopeful things will start to turn around today~it is hump day ya know!!! *woot woot*

I won't bore you with the not so pleasant details of my week, (trying to stay positive), LOL!!! But yesterday the Maytag guy came out to our house to take a look at my washing machine (it has been acting up for a while and the spin cycle is super loud!!! I mean like a jet is taking off loud!)~the verdict was not good!!! It would cost $1000 to fix it, and considering I am not really in love with it~Mike and I are going to go washer shopping (and hopefully getting a dryer too *I like them to match*, LOL!) this weekend. Considering laundry is one of my favorite items (sick, I know) to do on the old chore list~I am somewhat looking forward to it (minus spending the $$ part).

birthday cupcake

A friend of mine is celebrating a birthday and her favorite color is pink~so of course I had to make her a "girly" pink card!!! I will just slip a gift card to one of her favorite shopping spots inside, and pick up something from here and viola~birthday gift complete!

ok friends~I will see you back here on my favorite day of the week...FRIDAY!! ta ta for now :)

for my SIL...

Hi friends...
This is gonna be a quickie today...
My allergies have been crazy this fall season~I have been using this, but for some reason yesterday it did NOTHING for me~I ended up falling asleep on the couch last night. So needless to say, my blog post didn't get done. Luckily I go into work a little bit later on Wednesday mornings, so I quickly snapped a photo of today's card so I could get my post up~see how much I love you guys!!!

My SIL lost her father last weekend, so this is a quick card I made for her. I hope it gives her a little bit of comfort to know that I am thinking/praying for her at this difficult time. Her family lives in Korea, so I can imagine how hard it must be for her to be so far away from them.

Ok I am off to work...see you on Friday :)

bye bye weekend...

Hi all, can you believe it is already Monday again??? I hope you had a great weekend!!! I don't know about you, but I usually jam way too much stuff into mine and then once Monday rolls around I am exhausted!!! I am def gonna try to plan on having a "nothing to do weekend" really soon!!!

Mike was supposed to go to a Cardinal's game on Saturday night, so I was all prepared to stamp the night away~but his plans changed (being in the ministry is sometimes like that!!), so I got a little side tracked, LOL!! I did some shopping at Michael's with Ashley...she was trying to use up a gift card (she is not really that crafty, but she found some cute items that I think she might blog about this week~so I won't spoil the surprise). I had my 40% off coupon and decided to buy some vinyl wall art (gonna let my perfectionist measuring hubby put it up for me)~will post once it gets up on the wall.

So Sunday I had a few moments to stamp and decided to do the Clean & Simple sketch (since I wasn't feeling the creative mojo). I have to say~it never disappoints!! I had a card made for the old blog in about 10 minutes (it took me longer to clean up my craft table, LOL!!).

on my couch friend

And I did get some camera time in (not like I had planned), since Josh was not really excited about a photo shoot~I took Kodi outside and snapped a few photos (let me just say, he is not very cooperative)~this is the view I got most of the time, LOL!!!

kodi butt rs

I was calling his name a million times trying to get his attention~my neighbors were probably wondering what the heck I was doing, LOL!!! Finally I got him to look at me~sort of ;) Crazy Doggie!!!

fishy birthday...

Happy Monday~I am really enjoying today~because I have it off *woot woot* I won't be so excited on Friday though, since I will have to work, LOL!! Vacation time has arrived in our office, and everyone will be filling in for each other as we enjoy some R&R.

My step dad (really dad!!), Moe is going to be celebrating his birthday on 4/30, and since I know he doesn't read my blog~I figured I could post his birthday card. He is retired and enjoys fishing, so I try to incorporate a "fish" theme every year...unfortunately this is the only fish stamp I own (def need to find some more!!). It is from the SU! (retired) set, Very Punny.

I cased this card from coriefoster on SCS, you can see hers here. It was such a cute card, that I really didn't change much.

a little lady...

Happy Friday!!!
I am so ready for the weekend!!! I have lots of vacation prep to take care of this weekend *happy face* some shopping/groceries for Josh/list making (love lists!!), plus I hope to get lots of stamping done so I have things to post while I am relaxing with my hubby in Mexico.

I have been fascinated with Bento lunches for a while now...I really love to eat and I especially love when food is presented in a pretty way~I have been getting kind of sick of my usual lunch choices, and wanted to start taking something to work a little more appealing. I wanted to get one of these, but just could not justify spending that kind of $$ on a lunch box if I don't follow through with this bento phase. So I ended up getting this one to give it a try...unfortunately it is no longer available for purchase (from Tupperware), but you can find them on Ebay (that is where I purchased mine). I have to say that the containers were a really nice size for portion control (which I sometimes get carried away with, so I think it will be very helpful for my WW maintenance plan). I have been researching some new and exciting recipes, and hope to start bringing a more exciting lunch to work when I get home from my vacation~I will keep you posted on my progress, LOL!

Okay enough rambling!
I got some new Nestabilities Dies with my birthday $$, so of course I had to break out my Cuttlebug to try them out, I used Label One for today's card. I then pulled out my PTI Little Lady set (which I have not used in ages), and whipped up a quick card. For some reason I am really going for bright colors lately (loving Raspberry Fizz).

birthday wishes...

Hello...
How are you on this first Monday of spring?? Hopefully you are having great weather. Of course in AZ it is GORGEOUS this time of year (and my allergies are in full swing~yuck!).

Mike was doing some church stuff yesterday, so I had the house all to myself (except for the dog and cats, LOL!). I took advantage of the quietness and did some stamping. Got a jump start on some birthday cards~April is a big Birthday month in my family.

I said I wouldn't do it!!! Get hooked on Copic markers...and I ordered ONE with my last PTI order~~only one!!!! I must get some more (like I need another item to buy, right?) good thing my birthday is coming up *smile* So I pulled out an old SU! set "Oh So Lovely" and colored it in with my one and only Copic marker, LOL! I would have liked to have a lighter shade to blend better~but in due time. Then I cut out the larger flowers and popped them up with a pop dot.

oh so lovely
Enjoy your day!!!

loving my new stamp set...

I got some happy mail the other day *woot woot* I have been on the fence about ordering this Papertrey Ink stamp set "Scattered Showers " . I just wasn't sure if I would get a lot of use out of it~I have to say that so far I am really loving it!!! I only had time to stamp one card, since my week has been a little crazy!! I paper pieced the umbrella top and popped it up with pop dots. Really "springy" looking.

scattered showers

Today I am going to spend some time with my Peep!!! (Ashley). Last week we were supposed to go out to lunch, but she had a major computer problem and had to take it into the Apple store...she has today off (me too!), so we are gonna get lunch and do some shopping here (Ashley is a great bargain hunter and can find really cute stuff there, I always need her help, LOL!).

I am hoping to watch this movie with my hubby~we didn't have time last weekend...has anyone seen it??? if so how was it??

Happy Friday!!! Enjoy the weekend!!

spring flowers...

Well here we are at Monday again~time sure flies when you are having fun, right?

I had some time to stamp over the weekend, so of course that made me happy...I was feeling "spring~y"! I also created some posters for my church for our annual Easter Egg Hunt (am I the only one who cannot believe that Easter is less than a month away??). If you live in the Phoenix area and what to bring the kiddo's to the Easter Egg Hunt you can check it out here (the info will be on the home page/it is free and open to the public).

Okay onto the card...sometimes I really struggle with these big flower images, I stamped them a few times in different colors, then finally decided to cut them out and pop them up with pop-dots. I really like the simplicity of it, I didn't even use any ribbon (which is rare for me, LOL!).

Blooming BB flowers

couch potato...

Hi Friends...
Hope your week is off to a great start. I don't have a lot of chit chat for today...I have been keeping pretty busy with our new addition. He is doing pretty well, but I forgot how much work a puppy is~boy, they have a lot of energy and love to bite with those razor teeth. He does enjoy getting his photo taken, so I am all over that, LOL!

Pulled out "On My Couch" I really do love that set...I used Damask Designs to make a funky pattern on the couch...and I must say, I think Mike's parents had a couch like that way back when! Friday is real close~hooray!!!

Enjoy Today!!

bright & cheery card for a rainy AZ day...

Happy Friday to you blog friends!!! I hope you had a marvelous week, it is getting even better now that today is Friday, LOL!

We have been getting buckets of rain here in Phoenix...I heard on the news yesterday that we were supposed to get 6 inches from this storm (that may not sound like a lot, but in the desert that is tons!!! I think it is more rain than we got all last year~now that is crazy! I do have to say, that I am glad it isn't snow!).

I am still plugging away with my last photo session and will hopefully finish it up this weekend (or next weekend at the latest). I will post once I mail the CD to the family.

Here is a bright and cheery card for a rainy AZ day...
I used my Blooming Button Bits again for this card...I seriously need a 12 step program for my button addiction, LOL!

on my mind...

Happy Friday Friends!!
I am so ready for the weekend~and it is a long one for me (I have Monday off) *woot woot.*

When I got my Blooming Button Bits a few weeks ago, I could not wait to ink it up!!! New stamp sets are so much FUN!!! I knew I wanted to paper piece this big flower...I just love that technique!!! I was pretty happy with the end result, but I must say I was really having a struggle with the bow~just could not get it to look right...I finally just left it alone.

Today is PTI Release day~I have a feeling there are going to be some must haves in this release!!!

blooming bits

Pete (my kitty) made out okay at the vet on Wednesday~he did indeed have pink eye (just what I thought). Ashley came along with me, and she could not believe how much he meowed all the way to the vets office (good thing it is close by). Now Mike and I have the fun job of putting drops in his eyes 3 times a day~poor kitty!!

Enjoy Today!!!

here comes Santa Claus....

Happy Monday blog friends!!! Are you getting your Christmas duties completed? This year I have to admit, I haven't really been stressing too much (it is early though, LOL!). I think I am pretty much done with my shopping (but I am usually running out for random stuff right up until the last minute). Today is my last day off (used up my hoarded vacation days finally), until the holidays...so I am hoping to get all my out of town stuff wrapped and shipped and then spend some time in my craft room for some crafty projects...I need some stamp time!!!

I have been playing with my Holiday Button Bits stamp set a lot (just a warning, LOL!), since I will have to put it away in a couple of weeks...until next Christmas.

This Santa was so fun to put together (paper pieced)!! I also LOVE PTI's white cardstock for coloring!!! It is a lot heavier than SU!'s white cardstock, so it holds up really well to markers.
HBB santa

Last night Ashley and I put together our annual ginger bread house...it used to be a family project, but for the past two years us girls have been carrying on the tradition~we had fun!!! I will have pic's soon...so check out my 365 blog in a couple of days *smile*

Enjoy today!!!
