shaker box...

Hi ya friends...
I hope you had a wonderful Easter!! It was 85 degrees here and just a glorious day!!! Ashley and I had some time to kill before all the guys got home from church, so we took some photos (she is such a good sport!). Then we chowed down on a yummy ham dinner, went for a walk, and had dessert, we never got around to coloring our eggs (too tired), oh well, no biggie!

Even though my kids are grown...I still do Easter baskets, but this year I decided I was not going to include candy in their Easter baskets (Josh doesn't really eat it, and Ashley and I got a ton from work...plus we are doing WW), so I just got them all a gift card to a place they like to shop. I had planned out that I was going to make these cute shaker boxes and put their gift cards in there. I printed off the pattern and made one on Friday evening...(aren't they cute??)

they are pretty time consuming and since I would be putting these together on Saturday evening, decided to take another route, (sometimes it is good to K.I.S.S. ~Keep It Simple Silly~my paraphrase). I found these cute gift card tins at Michael's (right next to the register). I was happy with the end result!!

another Christmas tin...

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas (well not here in AZ...but it is getting closer). I was originally scheduled to work today...but luckily for me there was only one doctor working and 3 patients scheduled~so I was able to reschedule everyone and have the day off~GLORIOUS!!! I was even more excited when I found out that my UPS order was going to be delivered 2 days early!!! You can see it here. Luckily I am doing a photoshoot on Saturday that paid for that baby!!!!

Today I am going to be a busy beaver!!! Groceries, haircuts for the fam (by me), getting a manicure and pedicure with Ash (Fun!!), cooking, and maybe a quick run to Target, quick clean the house for Christmas and whatever else may come my way, LOL!

Here is a little gift tin I made for my step dad (really dad!!). I know he doesn't read my blog so I can post it before Christmas, LOL! He is an avid fisherman, so there is a gift card to one of his favorite shopping spots and some red and green Swedish fish. I was really addicted to that Santa Button Bit image this year (just love it). I think it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself, LOL!

gift card wrap up...

Happy Monday!
Am I the only one that cannot believe that Christmas is this week??? I think I am all finished (even got all my wrapping done on Saturday evening).

I am looking forward to some fun family time!!! We will go to church on Christmas Eve, and everyone will come home...get in their jammie's and we will have dinner and watch Christmas movies~kinda the Clark tradition. Ashley and Nate will spend the night too...which is really fun :) Then bright and early (thanks to Josh & Nate~They are still a kids at heart) we will get up to open gifts on Christmas moring *smile* I am getting an early present *hooray!* Mike let me order something that has been on my wish list for a while~It should be here on Thursday...I will def post a photo :)

I whipped up this gift card tin the other day, and since I had just made a card for Heather's graduation~I sorta went with the same theme. I purchased the tins here a few years ago, I had ordered a lot~I noticed that I only have 4 left...so time to make another order, LOL!!!

birthday tin...

everyday button bits 4
Hi all...
I hope you are having a great week:)
Are you getting sick of my Everyday Button Bits projects? I hope not~because I really {heart} this stamp set!!!!

Here is a little birthday ensemble I made for a co-worker. I know I have said it before...I like my card to match my gift (if at all possible). I had several tea tins left over from a Christmas project, so I just whipped up a little tin to house some candy and a gift card. I cut my patterned paper the length of the tin; squirted some of my craft glue on the back of the patterned paper; laid the tin on one end and rolled to get a smooth finish; I used some sticky strip to adhere the edge; then added my stamped image with some pop dots (SU! dimensionals); tied some ribbon around to finish it off; Easy Peasy!!! I think it was a hit *smile*

Have a fantastic day!!!

another gift set...

We celebrated another birthday in our office this week (we have one almost every month). I happily volunteered to make the card and gift card holder (any reason to stamp, right?). I was on a roll with my PTI Life stamp set, and was just playing around on a scrap piece of paper with different ink colors...and ended up really liking the outcome...So I trimmed the scrap paper so I could use my creation on this card (luckily no one will look at the back of the cardstock, LOL!).
And of course keeping with my matching fetish...I made a coordinating tin to house the gift card. It is such a summery looking set:D
I am going into work a little late this morning so I can hopefully getting caught up on my photography class assignments (this is the last week to turn them in...nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?). I hope I can talk Mike into letting me take his picture (about 50 times) or else it will be a photo shoot with the cats.
Enjoy today!!

graduation gift...

Happy Friday Friends!!!

I am looking forward to a very long weekend...I took a few days off next week and don't have to be back to work until Thursday...lots of projects planned (including my ever growing ironing pike...*sigh*).

Last night Mike and I went to Sharon's high school graduation...can you believe that it rained???? (Crazy, since we live in the desert and don't usually have to worry about that!). It was a nice ceremony, and Sharon looked great (even with the wet hair she paid to have styled...poor girl!). There were 750 graduates...(I only had 89 in my graduating class). Here is the little ensemble I made for her...I cased the color scheme and layout from Dawn (she is such a talented stamper!). I just love her style and cute personality. I had some extra tins, so I put some $ inside and added a stamped band around to match the card. This color combo is really nice together (Ruby Red/Berry Sorbet), I am sure I will use it again...real soon:0)

Have a safe holiday weekend!!! Thanks for visiting!

mother's day ensemble...

Hi all...
Another new week is ahead of us...are you ready?
I hope you had a great weekend...and a Happy Mother's Day. We celebrated Josh's 20th birthday on Mother's Day, so the fam was all here (a great way to spend MD...IMO~even if I cooked Josh's choice for lunch).
Here is the little ensemble I made for my mom and my MIL for Mother's Day...I found this cute gift card tin at Michael's, and just jazzed it up a bit with some matching cardstock, ribbon and button. I used my PTI Life and Women of Life stamp sets for the card. It all came together pretty quickly.
Enjoy Today!!!!!

Administrative Professionals Day!!!

Today is Administrative Professionals Day!!!

I put together this little ensemble for the Administrator at our church, she volunteers 3 times per week and has to put up with my hubby (that is a job in itself), LOL! I know she has really helped Mike out by taking on some of the workload...thanks Heather!!!

Of course we had to get her a little something for being such a blessing!!! I picked up a few gift cards, a mini bundt cake and balloon on my way home from work. Of course I like everything to match, so I used the colors from the balloon to make the tin and card. Just wanted her to know how much we appreciate her!!

Enjoy today!

birthday stuff...

Happy Monday...I hope you had a great weekend!! Mine was busy, busy, busy.

Today we are celebrating a birthday at work...I whipped up this little ensemble over the weekend. I had ordered a bunch of these tins last year and never did anything with them. They are the perfect size to house gift cards (there are 2 inside). I then wrapped some paper around, stamped "birthday wishes" on the front and tied it with a bow and viola!

We celebrated my hubby's birthday yesterday...(a little late because he has been sick with the flu forever!). It was fun times!!! I took a lot of photos, but only edited one for the old blog. Here he is posing with one of his gifts (he always gets some sort of Patriots thing).

Enjoy Today!!!

nugget tin...

Hi all...
I wanted to re-post this nugget tin, since I had to remove it from my blog last fall (they were published in PC magazine). I just love these tins! They are so easy to make and really do make a nice presentation. I get mine here
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? I am going into work for a couple of hours today and then I am off to the grocery store...I don't know why I wait until the day before Thanksgiving to shop (every year), probably because I dislike it so much! So I will hopefully brave the crowd and make it home in a good mood, lol!
Have a terrific day!

I forgot to post these...

Hi all...
I realized I forgot to post the wedding favors I made for Ashley's wedding...Ashley was pretty happy with the way they turned out (me too) *smile*

I used my Wedding Day stamp set by Papertrey Ink, as well as Aqua Mist patterned paper, ink and cardstock. And I was happy to find out that the napkins from the reception were almost a perfect match to the Aqua Mist (they had to be special ordered...that was a relief!). Ashley and I cranked out about 100 of these babies...they went pretty fast once we got an assembly line going. We filled them with chocolate covered espresso beans...yum!

Today I am off with my hubby and Nate to a Pastor's (and wives) Conference in Mesa, AZ. It will be nice to spend the day with Mike and Nate (Ashley is back to work).

I have to get into the craft room before Thursday...it is Boss Day, so I have some cards and packaging to create...hope I can get my stamping mojo back...it has been too long!

Enjoy Today!
