from me to you...

Howdy!!
How is your week going?? Yesterday it was 88 degrees here in AZ (it is heating up in the desert!!), I don't really mind the heat, probably because I grew up in CT and really dislike the snow and being cold.

Am I the only one that cannot believe that Easter is this Sunday?? When did that sneak up on me?? I realized yesterday that I need to get my lunch menu put together and a few baskets/cards made~luckily my family likes the same menu every year~ham with this sauce (delish!!), sweet potato casserole (not the one with the marshmallows), green beans, mashed potatoes for Mike, rolls and sparkling cider.

For today's card...I cased Maile Belles' (I love her clean stamping style!!), you can find her card here. I love the idea of stamping a background then punching out a flower (I used my scallop punch) letting the background show through!

lots of circles...

Happy Monday Friends!!!
I hope you had a great weekend...they always go by way too fast!!! I have been busy spring cleaning. It is amazing to me how things can get so unorganized...for example, my pantry!!! I pulled everything out and threw out expired stuff, wiped all the shelves and re-organized (oh, such a great feeling for an OCD person like myself, LOL!).

We celebrated my birthday yesterday *good times* so the family was over for lunch (will post pictures this week on my 365 blog). Mike got me this (so cute!!!). I got lots of gift cards and $$ so I see some new stamping supplies in my near future *smile*

I needed some masculine thank you cards, so I used one of the sketches from Paper Crafts "Go To Sketches" Magazine (just altered a bit). Such a great magazine, btw!!! This is an easy peasy card, which is good because I had to mass produce it.

Enjoy your day!!!

polka dotted wellies...

Happy Friday Friends!! *woot woot*

Mike finished up our taxes on Wednesday night (it's always a great feeling to get that out of the way), and we will be getting a return (big sigh of relief here!!!)...I am hoping to purchase some stamping stuff once it deposits into the checkbook *smile* (don't tell my hubby~J/K!!).

I broke out my Green Thumb set (this was one of my first PTI purchases), I have not used this set in such a long time~I forgot about this cute boot image. I love those rain boots~I would def have a pair if I didn't live in the desert...we do not get much rain in AZ.

Do you have any exciting plans for the weekend? I think I am going to make a Costco run tonight (don't I live an exciting life?). I think Ashley is going to accompany me...so that is always fun!!! Here is hoping I can keep it under $250 (I haven't been in a while and need everything...I just love stocking up on toilet paper and paper towels, LOL!).

birthday wishes...

Hello...
How are you on this first Monday of spring?? Hopefully you are having great weather. Of course in AZ it is GORGEOUS this time of year (and my allergies are in full swing~yuck!).

Mike was doing some church stuff yesterday, so I had the house all to myself (except for the dog and cats, LOL!). I took advantage of the quietness and did some stamping. Got a jump start on some birthday cards~April is a big Birthday month in my family.

I said I wouldn't do it!!! Get hooked on Copic markers...and I ordered ONE with my last PTI order~~only one!!!! I must get some more (like I need another item to buy, right?) good thing my birthday is coming up *smile* So I pulled out an old SU! set "Oh So Lovely" and colored it in with my one and only Copic marker, LOL! I would have liked to have a lighter shade to blend better~but in due time. Then I cut out the larger flowers and popped them up with a pop dot.

oh so lovely
Enjoy your day!!!

For Sale...

I have updated my FOR SALE page...just click on the tab at the top of my blog to view the stamps for sale~they are priced to sell ;)

been thinking of you...

So glad today is Friday! I am always 'SO' ready for it when it gets here!!! The weather has been soooo nice~almost warm enough for the A/C...but not quite. I honestly LOVE the warm weather (and I even don't mind the HOT weather either).

In less than a month Mike and I are going to be on one of these, and I can hardly wait!!! We were supposed to go last year, but Mike could not get away, so we rescheduled it to April. I am a little worried about all the food (I have heard you can eat all day long), and hope I don't put on 5 or 10 pounds (I just bought new pants~don't want to buy bigger ones, LOL)!!!

Okay, onto the card...
I am still loving my spring moss, and I do say it looks really nice with berry sorbet (another fav). I used the big flower image from Blooming Button Bits as the focal point ...a quick and easy card!

transparent card...

*I have added a For Sale tab to the top of my blog~It is still under construction at the moment, I hope to have it updated by the end of the week with retired SU! stamp sets I am selling*

Happy Wednesday Day (and St Patties Day)!!! We are mid week *woot woot* I hope your week is off to a great start! We have been having some really great weather here in AZ...I took Kodi for a walk yesterday (if you call it that, LOL!), he is learning how to be on a leash~good times!

I have been wanting to attempt one of these transparent cards for a while, but wasn't really sure how to hide the adhesive...well, low and behold...Nichole demonstrated on her blog how to make one (she is so smart!!!). Since I had some transparencies on hand...thought I would give it a whirl. It was easy peasy!!!

Happy Monday Friends!
Did you remember to turn your clocks ahead this weekend??? One more thing I {heart} about living in Arizona, is we don't participate in DST. So now I have to remember when I call my mom that she is 3 hours ahead of me instead of 2 hours (which makes it a little harder for us).

I had a great weekend~scored some deals while shopping with Ashley on Friday~woot, woot! cleaned the house, did the laundry, started some of my ironing (yuck!), stamped (hooray!), and finally watched the movie "Everyone's Fine" (which I liked, btw!!).

OK...onto stamping stuff...I finally ordered the PTI color spring moss, and have to say...LOVE IT!!! I figured since I have all the SU! colors I would hold off on ones that are similar to the colors I already have, but spring moss is much different than certainly celery (another of my FAV'S). I just love it with Aqua Mist!!! (I am experimenting with a black background).

loving my new stamp set...

I got some happy mail the other day *woot woot* I have been on the fence about ordering this Papertrey Ink stamp set "Scattered Showers " . I just wasn't sure if I would get a lot of use out of it~I have to say that so far I am really loving it!!! I only had time to stamp one card, since my week has been a little crazy!! I paper pieced the umbrella top and popped it up with pop dots. Really "springy" looking.

scattered showers

Today I am going to spend some time with my Peep!!! (Ashley). Last week we were supposed to go out to lunch, but she had a major computer problem and had to take it into the Apple store...she has today off (me too!), so we are gonna get lunch and do some shopping here (Ashley is a great bargain hunter and can find really cute stuff there, I always need her help, LOL!).

I am hoping to watch this movie with my hubby~we didn't have time last weekend...has anyone seen it??? if so how was it??

Happy Friday!!! Enjoy the weekend!!

wishing you sunshine...

It has been raining and cloudy for the past few days...so today's spring card makes me feel sun-shiney.

I realized that I do not have very many Easter sets, so I pulled this one out of my for sale pile (have lots of Stampin' Up! sets for sale!!! Send me an email if you would like the list~in the sidebar just click the contact me tab).

flower filled easter

I purchased one of these last week, and it was delivered on Monday...I LOVE IT!!! It is kinda sad that cleaning products make me so happy, LOL! I got a pretty good deal online (althougth it is on sale at Target now), and decided to treat myself to an early birthday present (I am weird I know!).

Enjoy Today!

spring flowers...

Well here we are at Monday again~time sure flies when you are having fun, right?

I had some time to stamp over the weekend, so of course that made me happy...I was feeling "spring~y"! I also created some posters for my church for our annual Easter Egg Hunt (am I the only one who cannot believe that Easter is less than a month away??). If you live in the Phoenix area and what to bring the kiddo's to the Easter Egg Hunt you can check it out here (the info will be on the home page/it is free and open to the public).

Okay onto the card...sometimes I really struggle with these big flower images, I stamped them a few times in different colors, then finally decided to cut them out and pop them up with pop-dots. I really like the simplicity of it, I didn't even use any ribbon (which is rare for me, LOL!).

blessings...

Happy Friday...
Here we are again at the beginning of the weekend (my favorite place!). This week went pretty fast...it was pretty slow in my office, so I was able to leave early on a few days. Perfect timing with a new puppy in 'da house'. I also got caught up on some things around the house, like weeding the front and back yard (even though we live in the desert~those pesky weeds still seem to grow~argh!). Now when I drive by my house I don't cringe, LOL!

I pulled out my Life set for today's card, and I have to say, that lately I have been drawn to this layout (note to self~try some new layouts, LOL!). I am going to do some blog hopping today for some inspiration, so if you have a favorite blog that inspires you...please share it with me:)

And how neat is this email I received yesterday...
Every year Internet Café Devotions hosts Blessed Aroma, a call out to blog readers to nominate their favorite blogs, in specific categories, written by Christian Women. Those with the most nominations are compiled into a list that gives us the TOP 100 Christian Women’s blogs each year.

Your blog was chosen this year in the category of: “Beautiful Cup Blog”. We hope this blesses you as much as you have blessed others!

couch potato...

Hi Friends...
Hope your week is off to a great start. I don't have a lot of chit chat for today...I have been keeping pretty busy with our new addition. He is doing pretty well, but I forgot how much work a puppy is~boy, they have a lot of energy and love to bite with those razor teeth. He does enjoy getting his photo taken, so I am all over that, LOL!

Pulled out "On My Couch" I really do love that set...I used Damask Designs to make a funky pattern on the couch...and I must say, I think Mike's parents had a couch like that way back when! Friday is real close~hooray!!!

Enjoy Today!!

quick gift packaging

Hi all,
Another weekend behind us *sad face* I thought mine would be pretty uneventful, but this is what Josh brought home on Friday...Let me just say...I am not a dog person (pretty much like Lucy on Charlie Brown~DOG GERMS!). I have stuck my ground for years~NO DOGS!!! Well Josh brought this little guy home on Friday, apparently someone abandoned him where Josh works. He stayed the night on Friday, and he was really a great puppy...I told Josh we could give him a trial run...so far so good. I still cannot believe I said ok! His name is Codie and he is starting to grow on me *wink*

I wanted to share this cute and easy packaging idea...I am always on the lookout for containers and stuff to package gifts in (I have tons of stuff on hand, LOL!! I do have a craft hoarding problem). I found these containers at IKEA really cheap. I added some pretty shredded paper some Godiva chocolates and a few giftcards and viola! I think it came out pretty cute...can you guess how old the recipient was (which is NOT old if you happen to read this)???
