mother's day love...

Another quick post for tonight.  I am going to spend some time on the sofa with my hubby watching The Office *smile*

Here is another Mother's Day card I whipped up for one of our moms.

I have a busy weekend planned...girls night out on Friday after work, and then we will celebrate Josh's 23rd birthday and Mother's Day on Sunday (we combine it every year~since Josh was born so close to Mother's Day. I cannot think of a better way to spend the day!!).

Hi all, I hope your week is off to a great start!! Today is going to be a quickie!! I have been learning a LOT at my new job, and when I get home at night, I am exhausted!! Must be from all the hard work my brain is doing, LOL!! 

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I had a few minutes to play in my craft room last weekend. Now I just need the energy to package everything up and get it mailed out to our moms!!

Administrative Professional Day...

Happy Administrative Professional Day!!  

Today is going to be a quick post!!  If you didn't know, today is Administrative Professionals Day.  Here is the gift that Mike and I put together for Heather, our Church Administrator.  She is such a blessing to our family (and the rest of the church)!!  I know of many times she has told Mike to GO HOME, which I really appreciate!  She has given of her time for quite some time, and when I say given, I mean GIVEN!!  She volunteers her time and talent to our church selflessly!! 

I cannot list the items inside the bag...just in case she reads this post, since this is waiting for her at the church office once she gets out of work today.  I hope she enjoys it!!

I purchased the gift bag at Target and of course had to try to coordinate the card *smile*  

And I don't know what it is about curling ribbon, but my cats LOVE that stuff!!  Must contain some kind of kitty crack!!  Notice Dewey sneaking in the background trying to be inconspicuous? Yeah, I am onto him!!

Hi all!! 

I hope you had a fantastic weekend!! Mine flew by faster than usual. 

Saturday Ashley and I went to her BFF bridal shower we had a great time!!   I decided to give a gift card to one of the places she was registered at, that way she can get exactly what she wants, and considering she lives in Texas, it is much easier to transport back home.  I found this cute little bag at Target to put the gift card in, and whipped up a color coordinated tag for it.

 Here it is all packaged up and ready to go!!

Happy Middle of the Week Day!!  I hope your week is off to a great start!! I am so excited to have another post up today~woot!! I think that means that things are getting back to normal around here (whatever normal is!).  

Is anyone doing Ali Edwards "A week in the Life" 2012?  Every year I always talk myself out of participating, and then kick myself after I see all the fun shots everyone else is posting on her blog.  This year I am going to try and give it a shot (last year I did a Day In the Life, you can see that post HERE).  Even if I don't finish the entire week, I think it is a great way to document ordinary, everyday life.  If I get super motivated, I may even post some pic's on the ole blog.

Okay, on to the stamping:  

I pulled out my Delightful Dahlia set and whipped up this simple card over the weekend.  I really like the giant flower popped up with a pop dot!! And I have just the friend in mind who I am going to send it to!!

If you frequent Pinterest, then you have probably seen lots of pin's with cards using the punched out part of die cuts.  I recently saw one using a die similar to PTI's Turning a New Leaf, that I LOVED.  Here is my version.  So easy!!!

birthday month...

April is our "birthday month" which means it is the month where there are LOTS of birthdays for family & friends (that's what I call it anyway), do you have a birthday month in your family??  I am getting a head start on birthday cards.  I have 6 Happy Birthday cards to make (luckily they are scattered through the month)!!  I better get busy!!!

scalloped birthday...

I recently saw a card that I wanted to CAS (copy and share) on Pinterest (that place is FULL of inspiration!! leave me a comment or send me an email with your email address if you'd like an invite!!!), made by Andrea Walford.  I thought it would be a great way to use up patterned paper scraps!!  I used some of my retired Stampin' Up! paper and my PTI scallop die, and this card came together very fast!!  I really like the frilly look of the layered scallops. (I think my button needs a little glue dot to help hold it up)

If you live in the US, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!  And if  you don't I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!  We are having a very casual get together with the family (my favorite kind!!).  We will have the usual turkey dinner, with all the fixin's, take a nap, and watch a movie~ probably in that order, LOL!!  

Is anyone participating in Black Friday??  I think this year I am going to stay home and work on my December Daily album.  Black Friday is a little too crazy for my liking, especially with all the tired and grouchy shoppers, LOL!!  I am more of an online Christmas shopper!!

birthday tag card...

It's Monday!!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend~I was busy, busy BUSY!!!  And with Thanksgiving on Thursday, I think this week may be the same way.

My sister in law is celebrating her birthday at the end of the month, so I made this card for her so I could slip a gift card inside and drop it in the mail.  The stamp set is from Ali Edwards (LOVE her stuff!!), and as a matter of fact, I am hoping THIS will be in my mailbox today so I can get started on my December Daily 2011 Album!!

I am still busy organizing!! I think spring cleaning is a little late (or early) for me!!!  I am on quite the purging/organizing kick!!  The kitchen was completed on Saturday~and after a trip to IKEA and my label maker, my baking stuff looks so much nicer in the cupboard!!

Hi Friends!

I hope your week is off to a wonderful start!!  I have a quick post for you today.  

Today's card was inspired by Maile's recent PTI release card HERE. I like LOVE her minimalist stamping style, it is so clean and pretty!!  Here is my version using Warm Happiness 2.

I have been busy organizing~which always makes me feel soooo good!!  Something about getting rid of stuff that you no longer need or use; makes me feel lighter and much more relaxed!!  I think that may be my OCD talking, *wink*  

I have been organizing my closet, dresser, under the bed (lots of scrapbook supplies under there, LOL!).  

Every time I get a new shirt/sweater/pants/jacket/etc, it always comes with an extra button, I have gotten into the habit of just throwing them in a drawer in my dresser, well that drawer was starting to become a little unmanageable!!  I decided to cut open all the little zip lock baggies and add those buttons to my stash!!  I seriously have never used one of these buttons in over a year, so I think it is safe to say, they are fair game for my cards!!!  

And I think they look so much prettier stored in a mason jar!!

Happy Friday!!!  Today is 11.11.11, how cool is that??

I hope you are having a great TGIF!!  I am going to enjoy the few Friday's I have off from here on out, when I start my new job in a few weeks, I will work M-F~that is really gonna take some getting used to (especially since Mike has Friday's off now)!!

Our friend Heather, celebrated her birthday on Wednesday.  She likes anything pink, so of course I had to make sure her card had something pink included.

It started out as an vanilla base, and then I stamped the sentiment crooked (I hate when that happens!), so I cut it in half, added a larger piece of patterned paper and decided to add it to a brown base~(isn't it is nice when you can "make it work").   

This weekend is the Clark/Worthington family Christmas photo shoot!!  I have a fun place all picked out and I hope that what I see in my head~works out with our photo.

And just for fun...Here is 2007, 2008 *, 2009, 2010.
 *Oct 4, 2008 Ashley was married and I didn't want to add the stress of trying to get a family photo~so I just shot the 3 of us for our Christmas Card.

Hi all,

I hope you are having a great week!!  I don't have much chit chat today~things are getting pretty busy around here and I imagine it will only be getting worse with Christmas right around the corner *gasp*  (59 days from today) it seriously sneaks up on me every year, LOL!! 

Since I have been in the market for a new job, you can read about it HERE.  I thought it would be nice to have a few cards on hand for people when they LAND their new job (which I hope in my case is pretty soon!!).  I love the sentiment~to BLOOM where you are planted!!
