Since May 12th was a full day at the Clark house, I decided to give the day an entire layout (I love the flexibility of Project Life!!).

I have a quick card to share today!!  My Mother in Law celebrated her birthday on January 15th and this is the card I made for her.  I found the idea on Pinterest on how to piece a die together like a puzzle...I am liking this quick and easy focal point!  

 I have the day off from work today (which I am super exited about!!).  Mike and I are celebrating our anniversary today.  So we are hanging our togther~I am hoping to also get some time to work on my Project Life album too...cause I am almost caught up with 2012~woot!

hey there, chickadee...

 I am so happy the weekend is almost here, and the temps are getting back to normal in Arizona!!  It has been FREEZING here-for REAL!!  We are finally back up into the mid 70's~woot!!!!  I tell people I grew up COLD (Connecticut), and I don't miss it one bit, that is why I LOVE living in AZ!! 

Here is a quick card I made for one of my niece's birthday.  I honestly had to dust off the stamp set before I used it, LOL!!  Hoping my stamps start feeling a little more loved these days!!

birthday month...

April is our "birthday month" which means it is the month where there are LOTS of birthdays for family & friends (that's what I call it anyway), do you have a birthday month in your family??  I am getting a head start on birthday cards.  I have 6 Happy Birthday cards to make (luckily they are scattered through the month)!!  I better get busy!!!

a mustache party...

Last Sunday we finally celebrated Mike's birthday (it was 2/11), our family is WAY too busy these days!  I am happy we all had a Sunday available to party it up!!  I decided on a mustache theme, since I have been seeing lots of stache items on Pinterest. I also wanted to find some games for us to play, and I was happily surprised to find some online.

First we started with lunch, which consisted of pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and iced tea (some of Mike's fav's).

Then we played a couple of games...

First up, was pin the mustache on Burt Reynolds.  You can get the download HERE.  I was pleasantly surprised that everyone was excited to participate (we are a pretty competitive bunch).  

 
We had to trace the mustaches and remove them because some people were  "feelers".

 

Josh ended up being the winner!!

Then we had some Birthday pie (since Mike is a "pie guy" recipe HERE, and yes I bought a pre-made graham cracker crust~don't judge!!!), and then opened presents.
*and if you notice I have no curtains hanging up in my family room, it is because Mike is using them as a prop for his current series at church. I get them back next week, LOL!!

Of course I set up a picture station for us to model our "staches"  and I had to laugh at some of the outtakes!!  Mustaches printouts HERE (I just taped them to skewers).

We started off with a normal pose.

Then we thought we could use the mustaches for eyebrows (apparently Jess and I didn't get the memo).

Then we said lets put the mustaches all on Mike, since it is his birthday (Ashley and Nate didn't get the memo).

Ashley still didn't get it!!

Success!!!

 And when you do some sort of belly dance from a seated position, you know I am going to blog it!!
 

 It was funny stuff!!

Hi all,

Today is going to be a quickie!!  Here is a birthday card I whipped up for someone from my old office, who is celebrating his birthday today!!!  Happy Birthday SCOTT!!!  One of the things I miss about my old office is our "office family" birthday parties!!  Those were some good times!!!

Happy Tuesday!!
Just popping in quick today!!  This weekend was CRAZY!!  We were supposed to celebrate my hubby's birthday, which was actually February 11th, but new computer installation at the office occupied most of my weekend (why can't things ever go smoothly with that kind of stuff???).  Luckily the last (I hope the last anyway) minor glitch was fixed this morning at 7 am (nothing like going down to the wire, LOL!)..


Here is the card I made for him, since he is definitely a coffee snob!!  I postponed his party to this coming weekend, and I have some fun ideas up my sleeve!!  Will post more about that later!!

scalloped birthday...

I recently saw a card that I wanted to CAS (copy and share) on Pinterest (that place is FULL of inspiration!! leave me a comment or send me an email with your email address if you'd like an invite!!!), made by Andrea Walford.  I thought it would be a great way to use up patterned paper scraps!!  I used some of my retired Stampin' Up! paper and my PTI scallop die, and this card came together very fast!!  I really like the frilly look of the layered scallops. (I think my button needs a little glue dot to help hold it up)

If you live in the US, I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!  And if  you don't I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!!  We are having a very casual get together with the family (my favorite kind!!).  We will have the usual turkey dinner, with all the fixin's, take a nap, and watch a movie~ probably in that order, LOL!!  

Is anyone participating in Black Friday??  I think this year I am going to stay home and work on my December Daily album.  Black Friday is a little too crazy for my liking, especially with all the tired and grouchy shoppers, LOL!!  I am more of an online Christmas shopper!!

birthday tag card...

It's Monday!!

I hope you had a fantastic weekend~I was busy, busy BUSY!!!  And with Thanksgiving on Thursday, I think this week may be the same way.

My sister in law is celebrating her birthday at the end of the month, so I made this card for her so I could slip a gift card inside and drop it in the mail.  The stamp set is from Ali Edwards (LOVE her stuff!!), and as a matter of fact, I am hoping THIS will be in my mailbox today so I can get started on my December Daily 2011 Album!!

I am still busy organizing!! I think spring cleaning is a little late (or early) for me!!!  I am on quite the purging/organizing kick!!  The kitchen was completed on Saturday~and after a trip to IKEA and my label maker, my baking stuff looks so much nicer in the cupboard!!

Happy Friday!!!  Today is 11.11.11, how cool is that??

I hope you are having a great TGIF!!  I am going to enjoy the few Friday's I have off from here on out, when I start my new job in a few weeks, I will work M-F~that is really gonna take some getting used to (especially since Mike has Friday's off now)!!

Our friend Heather, celebrated her birthday on Wednesday.  She likes anything pink, so of course I had to make sure her card had something pink included.

It started out as an vanilla base, and then I stamped the sentiment crooked (I hate when that happens!), so I cut it in half, added a larger piece of patterned paper and decided to add it to a brown base~(isn't it is nice when you can "make it work").   

This weekend is the Clark/Worthington family Christmas photo shoot!!  I have a fun place all picked out and I hope that what I see in my head~works out with our photo.

 *Oct 4, 2008 Ashley was married and I didn't want to add the stress of trying to get a family photo~so I just shot the 3 of us for our Christmas Card.
