easy peasy card...

Hi all!
I hope you are having a terrific week!!
For some reason I have NO motivation this week~I am hoping that changes, cause I've got lots to do!!!

I did manage to stamp a card though~I have been in a "less is more" phase; I was happy with the end result and this card is SUPER easy to make!!



And on a funny side note~I have my sewing machine set up in my dining room (for several projects on the back burner...see first paragraph, LOL!). I was sewing my patterned paper onto my card front and I hear...

Mike: (from the family room) "are you sewing a piece of paper?"
Me: Yup! The then gives me a weird look and continues watching his movie, LOL!!
Does that seem weird to you??? ha ha!!

The weekend was just too crazy to squeeze in some stamping time :(

I am not sure if you've seen the blog "Dear Photograph" (click HERE)...but it is SUPER cool!!! Thinking I may try to accomplish this the next time I am back home in Connecticut for a visit.

I have a quick card for you today~It was inspired by this and this. I just love that the internet is full of ideas to help you get your stamping mojo flowing!!!



Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend?? Mike and I are having dinner with some new friends from church tonight. Then the usual weekend stuff (hopefully doing some yard work, now that my hubby is finally feeling better~my front lawn looks like a jungle, LOL!!). Then I am thinking of going to pick up some paint swatches...contemplating repainting my kitchen and family room (I am kinda over the red wall!!). We will see~Mike is trying to talk me out of it~cause he says he always gets roped into having to help~HA!!

I am off to clean my bathrooms and vacuum~what can I say...I live an exciting life :P

Last night I had a few moments to watch the tutorial by Erin Lincoln here. I absolutely LOVED her card sketch, so of course I HAD to CASE it :) I didn't use the reverse masking technique, but will probably try it~it looks like fun!!!

fathers day cards...

Happy Monday Everyone...
Today is gonna be quick, cause I am writing this post on Sunday night and I am SuPeR TIRED!! We had a fun day celebrating Mike on Fathers Day!! I only took 56 photos (which is a light photo day for me, LOL!!).

I bought Mike a Starbuck's gift card (and so did Ashley and Josh, LOL!!!) for Fathers Day; I made this quick and easy card that I saw a few months back on this blog. Super cute and EASY (Link for pdf file is here)!!!



Josh's girlfriend Jess, also made Mike this cute card, and since I didn't have time to stamp this weekend, I told her I was going to blog it, *smile* She makes really cute cards!! I am thinking she should start a blog!!!

Are you ready for the weekend?? I know I am!! *woot woot*

This weekend is Father's Day and everyone will be over on Sunday to Celebrate!!! I am sure it will be nice and HOT, so I am hoping to get some swimming/pool photos...Mike said the water temp is up to 85 degrees (just about warm enough for me to go in, LOL!!).

I have been taking an online course learning Adobe Illustrator, which has a bit of a learning curve...but I am up for the challenge!! I even made a little project for the table setting for this Sunday (Pic's next week).

dusted off my out on a limb set...

I LOVE "that time of the month" over at Nichole's blog!! Last week she made a card using the Out on a Limb set and decided to pull out my dusty set as well!!! I never thought to turn the limb on it's side~she is so CLEVER!!!



Today I am hopefully making some Father's Day cards (nothing like waiting until the last minute, huh??). I also hope to have a few minutes to work on my Project Life album, since it seems to get pushed to the bottom of my list these days *sad face*

and for some randomness...Last night Josh and I took Kodi to the Bark Park~He Loves it (Kodi, and Josh too, LOL!!). Josh takes Kodi there a few times a week. I had never been and wanted to see Kodi in "action". He is such a crazy dog!! I think he has ADHD, it was fun to watch him run around without a leash and play with all the other dogs. I tried to snap a photo~but he was having too much fun for a photo shoot...maybe next time!!!

Forever family...

Happy Monday!!

On Saturday Mike and I were honored to celebrate the adoption of Hunter joining his forever family Ross and Erica. Facebook is so great for connecting you with lots of peeps from your past; Mike and Ross went to high school together (I won't say how long ago, LOL!!). It was so neat to find out last year that Ross lived about 20 minutes away from us. Ross and his lovely wife Erica invited us over to celebrate with 100 of their other friends and family, the addition of Hunter (who is 10) joining their family. What a heartwarming story too!! It makes me so happy to hear about these types of happy endings!! They are all so lucky to be a FOREVER family!!

Ross and Erica said NO gifts, but I could just not go and not bring a little something to celebrate this happy occasion; and who gets mad if you get a gift, right?! I made this card Saturday before the party (didn't want to make it baby~ish, since Hunter is 10), and put a AMC & Cold Stone giftcard inside so they can have a little family night.



When we got home, I realized that I had a Groupon, Shutterfly book that was going to expire that night at midnight (argh!! nothing like waiting until the very last minute, LOL!!), so I stayed up until 11pm finishing that project (which was quite fun and easy!!). I cannot wait to get it in the mail June 16-19th (probably will blog about it, LOL!!).

I have been doing a 30 day Photography Challenge this month; which I am really enjoying, if you want to check out my pic's my 365 blog is here (there is also a tab at the top of my blog). Today's challenge is to photograph myself with 13 things (gotta do some thinking for that one, LOL!!).

masculine birthday...

Today is going to be quick~I needed a Birthday card for my father in law, who is celebrating his birthday on Monday (gotta get his gift in the mail TODAY!!). So I whipped up this masculine birthday card just for him.

beautiful blooms and basket weaving...

Hi everyone!!
I am a little late this morning!! Mike is finally starting to feel better *woot woot* so last night we watched TV together (it is soooo nice to have him back!! He has been very sick). Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers!!

Okay onto the card:
Last week I was sitting on the floor, playing with Kodi (Josh's dog), and was eye level with the IKEA basket that I have to hold all of Josh's shoes (he has a lot!!), and I had an idea for a card base. Back in the 90's my mom and I took a basket weaving class, so my skills were put to good use for today's card.





I really loved the look, and I am sure will do some more paper weaving again ;)

oh baby...

Hi friends!! I hope your weekend was Fantastic ;)

Saturday afternoon I went to a baby shower for a friend~she is having a boy, so of course I had to whip up a baby card!!! I used some of my favorite colors: Aqua Mist/Certainly Celery/Lemon Tart.

She asked me to take photos of the shower for her, so I knew I wanted to get her a nice album to put her photos in; and I found the cutest baby photo album at Target (I LOVE Target!!) with these colors in it~PERFECT!!! (I didn't see the album online; I would have linked it~must be in stores only)



Ashley and Nate were out of town for the weekend, so I went and picked up Hershey on Saturday, so he wouldn't be all alone. He even spent the night (I let him sleep next to me, and he stayed there all night). Isn't be cute?? Kodi didn't really mind having him around, but the cats were not really sure about this tiny barking thing, LOL!!!

warm happiness too and another tag...

Happy Friday Blog Friends!! How was your week?? I have really been messed up "day wise" since my 3 day weekend (last week)...plus I am working today (I usually have Friday's off, so I am still a little messed up, it feels like Thursday to me, LOL!!).

I pulled out my Warm Happiness Too stamp set and another tag and went to work; I had the twine pictured differently in my mind, but it didn't seem to work on the card ( I improvised). Sometimes I have to leave it alone and then come back and look at it with fresh eyes. I am glad I did, cause I kinda like it now ;)



My poor hubby is SLOWLY getting better, now that he is taking some medication, I have read that it can take up to 3 weeks to start feeling better (good grief!! 1 week down and 2 weeks to go *woot*). Valley Fever is no fun!!!

Well I hope you have a GREAT weekend!!! I am photographing a baby shower on Saturday and have lots of the usual stuff to do (groceries, housework, laundry)...GOOD TIMES!!
