Here is a quick card I made over the weekend; I am planning ahead and trying to make some masculine birthday cards (these are always a challenge for me). I stamped the sentiment onto a transparency sheet and laid it right over the cardstock layers. When I tried to adhere the transparency to the card front, the adhesive was showing through (not really a pretty thing)~so I took my adhesive eraser and removed it~they added a couple of brads to hold the transparency in place, I also added some adhesive under the button. And there you have it...an easy peasy guy card :)

Monday's post will be a little late...last night while I was uploading my photo for my 365 blog, I realized that my battery light was blinking...of course it died after my upload *sad face*

So when I get home from work today~I will photograph and upload my card post.

In other news: I got one of these babies over the weekend...which I LOVE!!! Luckily I have Josh to show me the ropes on how to use it, LOL! Texting is a lot different than my old phone...I hope I get the hang of it quickly~cause right now it takes me forever to send a text message, LOL!!

card storage...

Sorry my post is a little late today...
Last night Mike was watching this movie, and I sat down half way through and had to see the ending, LOL!! After that, I was too tired (and it was too dark to photograph my card storage~yes, I procrastinated, LOL!!), to type up my post...but my blogging motto is "better late then never" right??

I have been trying to find a storage system for my cards. In the past I have kept them in a big basket, but that system was really not working for me!! I found these boxes at IKEA, which worked out FABULOUS!!

Now I know most people won't have to use as many boxes as this "crazy" stamper, LOL!! But this system is working out AWESOME for me!! It also makes me happy to see them all lined up on my craft room shelves (and I rediscovered my label maker~which also makes me happy) *wink* (that is my OCD talking)!

Hi Blog friends!
I hope you week is off to a great start!! I got a few things crossed off my to-do list on Monday, which always makes me happy!! I had been wanting to organize my cards for a while (and boy, I have quite a few, LOL!) and I think I have finally come up with a solution~which I will blog about on Friday, stay tuned :)

I signed up for this class last week (along with my friend Cindy~hi friend!!); and I am super excited to get my first lesson on Thursday~I am sure I will be blogging about it along the way, LOL!!
**and I think there is still time to sign up if you are interested~and all you need is your creativity and a camera (oh yeah, and the $36 class fee).**

Yesterday Mike and I (mostly Mike), finished our taxes...such a great feeling to get that over with~I might even get to make a stamp order with some of the refund $ *woot woot*

Today's card was inspired by Maile's card, which you can see here; I just love her stamping style!! After playing around with the different layers/cardstock...this is what I came up with.

Howdy all!~
I hope you had a great weekend, it rained here in Phoenix, which allowed me some time in my craft room *smile*

I also had a "girl's night out" with one of my friends from church~which was a lot of fun!! We decided to make it a monthly date!! We ate here, and I have no idea how many WW points I consumed~but they were yummy!!

Mike and I went here on Saturday to spend some of our Christmas gift cards (I tend to hoard them, LOL!), this is one of the tops I purchased~then we finished off the afternoon with one of these. YUM!!

I needed some more sympathy/thinking of you cards (which I have seemed to need a lot of lately). My aunt passed away a couple of weeks ago from cancer (such a terrible disease which I hope I NEVER get!!). Even though I am not very close with my cousins, I wanted to send them a card letting them know I am thinking/praying for them.



I am super excited to have today off *woot woot* (and so does my hubby!!), not sure what is on the agenda~but hoping to get a few things crossed off my to-do list and then maybe watch a movie with my hubs!!

Hello!
How is your week going? Did you have a nice Valentine's Day? Ours was pretty low key...I ended up leaving work early because I didn't feel good *yuck* After a little nap with Kodi, and an english muffin, I started to feel a little better. I had this waiting for Mike on the kitchen counter~we usually don't buy gifts for each other on Valentine's Day, but I decided to do a little something at the last minute (because my love language is "gifts").

Here is a quick Clean & Simple card sketch~I just love that website for inspiration, cause I wasn't really feeling the stamping mojo this week. This card makes me feel pretty "spring~y."

Happy Valentine's Day Friends!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I was busy with birthday and Valentine stuff (which was lots of fun!!). I got to get a little crafty~which is always a plus *smile*. Friday night I made one of Mike's favorite dinners for his actual birthday, and on Sunday the kids all came over to help us celebrate. In between all the celebrating~I whipped up a few Valentine's for my favorite peeps!!

I saw this post a while back, and thougth it would be cute to make it into a Valentine's Day theme box.

I made these for the girlies. I found the containers at the Dollar Tree, and filled them up with red, pink, and white goodies (along with a Starbuck's gift card). Lots of fun to put together too!!






Since the boys really don't care about all that frilly stuff, this is what they got.
