a bday card for Alli...

Hello there friends...
Are you having a good week?
My niece Allison celebrated her birthday yesterday *Happy Birthday Alli!!!*
I made her birthday card using my new stamp set Blooming Button Bits. When I was finished with the card...I realized it looked a lot like this one~I guess I really like that layout, LOL!
EBB birthday

I am getting out of work early today so I can take my cat, Pete to the vet...I think he has pink eye (poor kitty). I hate taking my cats to the vet, because they hate it so much!!! Ashley and Josh are off from work and said they would go with me (Mike usually goes with me but he will be at work). Peter meow's so much that I like to have some moral support...hopefully it will be an uneventful trip ;) Never a dull moment, LOL!

poofy flower birthday...

Happy Monday to ya!
Are you ready for a new week?? I have been spoiled with 5 day weekends, with the way the holidays fell this year...this 2 day one seemed really short, LOL!

I watched Dawn's tutorial on making these cute poofy flowers and I just had to make one~they are really easy and FUN!!! And really dress up a card *smile*

I needed a couple of birthday cards this week...this one is for my MIL, who loves pink...and I think she will really like the poofy flower ;)

it's hip to be square...

Hi blog friends~are you ready for the weekend? I know I am!! *smile*

Today is going to be quick, because I am up to my ears in photo editing from my last session (it was a biggie!!! might post some in the next few weeks). I am also having to re-tag all my digital papers and elements in my ACDsee program...apparently when you move things into different folders and locations, the items become orphaned and you cannot open them in Photoshop (who knew!!!). I am trying to look on the bright side~I have purged all the kits and templates I am not going to use, and reorganizing the entire program (now that I am familiar with how it works and my scrapping style)...big job though!!!!

I am a big fan of square cards...but I rarely make them this shape~probably because I like getting 2 card bases from 1 piece of cardstock, LOL! I used my Turning a New Leaf stamp set (I can tell it is gonna be one of my fav's!!!), and some retired SU! designer series paper for a pretty easy layout. Not sure if you can see in the photo, but I also went around the edge with my paper piercing tool and piercing guide. One of these days I really need to break out my sewing machine for my paper crafting!!!

Do you have anything exciting planned for the weekend? I am doing the usual...WW meeting, groceries, cleaning, laundry, and hoping to maybe squeeze in a movie with my hubby!

Enjoy Today!!

another masculine thank you...

Happy Wednesday to ya!!!
Hope you are having a terrific week!!! How was getting back to reality after all the holiday's?? It went pretty smoothly for me~just had a hard time waking up on Monday, but now that I am back into the swing of things~it's all good!

I have another boy card for you today (well sort of~it has ribbon/buttons, LOL!)...One of the reasons I LOVE acrylic stamps is that you can position the images exactly where you want them!! I was never very good with the Stamp-a-ma-jig!

stamp of authenticity

I just received my PTI order (used some of my Christmas $$) the other day~I ordered lots of buttons, and they are beautiful!!! I have to make a trip to IKEA to get some of these to store them in. I hope to make it into my craft room on Friday, I want to work on some submissions.

Enjoy today!!

you make me smile...

It is hard to believe that my holiday/vacation days have finally come to an end~now don't get me wrong, I like my job...but I will sure miss hanging out at home in my jammie's and my cup of joe!!! Back to reality I guess.

I have been on a Thank You card marathon~I needed a few "boy'ish" ones, so here is my attempt at not bling'ing them up. I did add a few buttons~hope that isn't too girly, LOL!
turning a new leaf

Did you make any New Year's resolutions? I don't usually make them, but this year my goal is to (digi) scrapbook more (check this out)...and actually print my pages and put them in albums like this. And the usual stuff~like power walk at least 5 days per week ;)

I have been debating if I am going to continue with my picture a day (365 blog)...I have been on the fence...and have decided to go ahead~I have enjoyed taking photos every day, and it is nice to take pictures of random everyday stuff, as well as my family (and kitties). So if you are interested in checking out my pic a day~go here

Happy New Year!!

Happy 2010!!
I am looking forward to a great year!

I want to thank all of my sweet blog readers for visiting my blog every week :) You are the best!!!

I have been on a thank you card marathon...I have so many to make! I was feeling pretty uninspired and while visiting my friend, Jodene's blog...I noticed that she had participated in a sketch challenge~so I clicked on the tab and found lots of great sketches...the creative juices were starting to flow *hooray*

And I almost forgot to post what my cute hubby got me for Christmas~you may remember in my last post, that we were not going to exchange gifts this year...well he surprised me with this:

And for the record~I LOVE TO VACUUM!!! (I know I am weird, LOL!). I have been wanting the Dyson for years, and just could not justify paying that much $$ for a vacuum cleaner~well, check out the Shark, it is exactly like the Dyson and half the price~IT IS AWESOME AND I LOVE IT!!! My hubby ROCKS!

Enjoy today!
