What is the 21 Day Fix (part 2) my review

I LOVE the layout of these workouts.

  • Different workout every day.
  • 30 minutes long.
  • Active recovery day is YOGA (I am a little awkward with this one).
  • The workouts are broken up into a series of SETS. So... for instance... {in one workout} you will do 8 rounds total. In each round there are  2 exercises... and usually you repeat each exercise twice. It’s simple. You have a 10-30 second rest period in between exercises.
  • There is a GREAT modifier and ALWAYS an option to STEP it up for a greater challenge.
  • Autumn is the PERFECT mix of motivator & cheerleader
This is the most GENIUS meal plan I've ever followed.
(The containers are one of my favorite things!!)

  • You eat regular food!
  • Container portion control system is EASY.
  • You can have wine and chocolate ;)
  • You do NOT go hungry.
  • You LEARN how to maintain your results and FUEL your body!

The food is not complicated at all (it is clean eating-which just means you can pronounce everything in the ingredient list), I asked my husband what he thought about the food I have been feeding him and he said it is really good!
(believe me, he has tried all kinds of plans with me, especially ones that have bombed,
He would TOTALLY tell me if he hated it)
Here are some examples of what I have been eating:
(the colored hearts coincide with the containers).

Turkey burger with lettuce/tomato/avocado

Meatballs with zucchini noodles (zoodles) and tomato sauce.

Greek yogurt with blueberries/strawberries
(my morning snack EVERY day).

Steel cut oatmeal with coconut milk/berries/raisins/nuts.

Grilled chicken with zucchini/carrot zoodles.

Salad with turkey bacon
(I did forget to add the orange container to this photo for the dressing
1 tbsp olive oil, squirt of dijon mustard, 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar)

Sunday breakfast with my hubby
1 egg with peppers and onions/half an Ezekiel English muffin/2 slices of turkey bacon/avocado/salsa.

My afternoon snack
(EVERY day-I am a creature of habit).
Apple with 2 tbsp almond butter

weekly iphone photo dump ~ august week {four}

from left to right:
1.  I was looking for a chevron wallpaper for my phone, I found THIS one.
2.  This is my afternoon snack EVERY day,  I am such a creature of habit!! (an apple with 2 teaspoons of almond butter-I recently found out I had some that was included in the recall, check it out HERE).
3.  I recently tried THIS deodorant, since the one I was using made me break!!  So far so good.  It has no aluminum and smells really nice (and works!!).
4.  This week it was Mike's turn to plan our date.  He took me to lake Pleasant for a cruise.  It was beautiful!!
5.  See #4
6.  All the boat touring made us pretty hungry, so we stopped at one of our favorite spots, for a late lunch, on the way home.
7.  The temps are cooling down (for us Arizonians anyway), so we have been taking the pups for a nightly walk, instead of swimming.
8.  I am addicted to zoodles!!
9.  I am LOVING the 21 Day Fix program!!  Especially my containers (more on that soon!!) If you are interested in knowing more...send me an email or leave a comment!!

Enjoy Today!!

weekly phone dump august week {two}

I know I have been saying this a lot...but I am really sorry for the lack of blog posts!  I am anticipating a slow down in my life soon, which will mean more updates.

From left to right:
1.  Since the school has been locking the field at night, we can't let the dogs run around off leash (not cool!).  So we take the dogs swimming every night after work for some exercise and to burn off some energy.  Bell loves to see how many toys she can fit in her mouth.
2.  Sophie just looking cute in her life jacket.
3.  I discovered Ezekiel 4:9 English muffins, and let me just say...YUM!
4.  Mike and I are doing something new with our Saturday date night/afternoon. We are taking turns planning a date.  I was first.  We tried out a new restaurant that I really liked, and I was able to stay on my normal eating plan (see #7).
5.  Then I took him to the gun range for some target shooting.  I think he was surprised that I hit the target EVER time (my dad taught me and my brother how to use a gun when we were younger).  It was fun!  Mike's turn to plan our date next week.
6.  see #5.
7.  I started the 21 Day Fix eating plan this week (I was very happy to find that it is almost the same as the Beyond Diet plan that I have currently been doing).  I LOVE IT (most days I don't even eat all the food)!!  I am thinking about signing up to be a coach, so if you have questions, feel free to email me (I would love to have you on my team!!).
8.  This is what happens when you go to the bark park, and take a swim.  Conked out on Mike's leg.
9.  I met up with Ashley on Sunday morning to get a pedicure.  My toes needed it so badly.  So glad I have presentable tootsies again!!

Enjoy Today!

weekly iphone photo dump {august week one}

Hi all,
I apologize for the lack of posts on the old blog, I am hoping to get a handle on the craziness soon.

From left to right:
1.  This is my absolute favorite snack at the moment.  Plain Greek yogurt (Fage) with strawberries and blueberries.  SO GOOD!!
2.  I took a day off from work to do some random stuff around the house.  Ironing was one of those things (I live such an exciting life!).
3.  I have been looking around for this brand of almond milk...finally found it at Fry's Market.
4.  I broke down and bought this (since I LOVE zoodles so much!!), and gave my Veggetti to Ashley.
5.  This was another purchase that Mike and I made, and let me tell you this thing is AMAZING!!  We both take a protein shake for breakfast during the week, our last one was not very powerful.  This one obliterates ice like nothing.
6.  I decided to do the 21 Day Fix.  I am on day 5, and I have to say, there are muscles that I didn't know I had.  Review will be coming.
7.  We have the cutest alarm clocks. 6:30 am on the weekend.  Alarm #1
8.  Alarm #2
9.  Mike and I went to Phoenix Premium Outlet on SundayThis was the first time I have gone (it has been open for quite a while), of course I picked up a little something for myself (and so did my hubby) *wink*

Enjoy Today!
