Lately I am on a button kick!!! I am putting them on almost every card, LOL! It is a good way to use up my stash though.

Hi all,
Quick post today...I am getting ready for my trip to freezing Connecticut tomorrow. Last night after I got home from work...I made 3 meals for Mike and Josh to eat while I am gone; went for a walk; watched my favorite show (Jon & Kate Plus 8); Prepared my submissions for Paper Crafts Magazine (they are due 3/4 have to get them mailed today!) and took photos of a bunch of new cards so hopefully I will have some automatic posts scheduled while I am gone *fingers crossed*. Today's card uses a favorite SU! stamp set of mine, Heartfelt was a little dusty, but once I inked it up it was feeling un-neglected. I am still on a mission to use up my hoarded patterned paper, so added some to this card. And of course no card is complete with out some ribbon*smile*
Enjoy today!!!
supplies used (SU! unless noted): Heartfelt Thanks/Women of Life (PTI) stamp sets; Whisper White/Chocolate Chip cardstock; Soft Sky Designer Paper; Soft Sky/Choc Chip ink; Scallop Edge Punch; Satin brown dotted ribbon (PTI)

birthday stuff...

Happy Monday...I hope you had a great weekend!! Mine was busy, busy, busy.

Today we are celebrating a birthday at work...I whipped up this little ensemble over the weekend. I had ordered a bunch of these tins last year and never did anything with them. They are the perfect size to house gift cards (there are 2 inside). I then wrapped some paper around, stamped "birthday wishes" on the front and tied it with a bow and viola!

We celebrated my hubby's birthday yesterday...(a little late because he has been sick with the flu forever!). It was fun times!!! I took a lot of photos, but only edited one for the old blog. Here he is posing with one of his gifts (he always gets some sort of Patriots thing).

Enjoy Today!!!

Supplies used (SU! unless noted): Lots of Thoughts/Mixed Messages (PTI) stamps; Whisper White/Barely Banana/Certainly Celery cardstock; Chocolate Chip ink; Soft Sky designer paper; Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon; Square punch; Nestabilities Scallop Square die

raspberry butterfly...

TGIF friends!!
I made it into my stamp room again last night *smile* It is so nice to get back to my regular routine and enjoy my hobbies again!!!
I have a pretty busy weekend...since Mike and I have been sick, we didn't get to celebrate his birthday last weekend, so now that he is starting to feel better, we will celebrate on Sunday. I am also heading to Connecticut next week to visit my mom, so lots to do to prepare for that (have to make sure Josh and Mike have some easy meals lined up so they don't starve, lol!).
I needed to make a thank you card, so decided to pull out my Butterfly Kisses stamp set and paired it with a Raspberry Fizz and Black color scheme. It is hard to see from the photo...but I added Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the needed some bling!
Enjoy your weekend...thanks for visiting!!!

another tent top card...

Hi all...
Did you make it through your Monday okay? Once I am over that is smooth sailing to the weekend.
Since I didn't do any stamping last weekend, I was looking through my stash and realized I never posted this tent topper card that I made a while back. I used two of my go-to stamp sets Floral Frenzy and Mixed Messages...added a little patterned paper and viola! I punched the center of the flower out with my circle punch and popped it up with a dimensional. A pretty fast and easy card!
Have you been checking out all the sneak peaks from Papertrey Ink? I am going to have to get another job to support my habit, LOL!
Enjoy today!

a little digi scrapping...

Hi all...are you ready for another Monday???

I was feeling a little under the weather this weekend, so unfortunately I did not get into my stamp room (you know I don't feel good, when no stamping happens!). Not really sure what I have, but I slept a lot this and felt headache-y and feverish. Hopefully I was just trying to fight something off!

I did a little bit of digi scrapping though...I am trying to finish my CD desk calendar. So today will be a "digi post day."

I used the digi templates from Janet Phillips (these are not longer available), but check out her new website The Daily can download this cute album for free!!! I am definitely going to make one of these!!!
Enjoy today...and thanks for stopping by!!!!

still using my cuttlebug...

Happy Friday All!
Today I have a quick post...I am working today (I usually have Fridays off), since Ashley is on her way to visit her friend Lindsay in Texas for the weekend, I am filling in for her at work.
This card is a case of a case (original by Nichole Heady-my idol!). I really do love this layout and I added some embossed cardstock to the top of both of my versions (Cuttlebug). I haven't used Aqua mist in quite some time (got a little burned out with all the wedding stuff), but remembering how much I really enjoy this color!
Have an Awesome weekend!!!

swirls and flowers...

Hi all...
I thought I would take a break from Valentine's Day cards. I have been on a Cuttlebug kick this week, huh? I really like these flowers from the Green Thumb stamp set (PTI, of course). The color combo for today's card is Ripe Avocado, Berry Sorbet, Chocolate Chip and Whisper I will most likely use again. I played around with the layers on this card for a while before I got them to where I liked the end it all worked out, but I didn't really have a place for a sentiment, so I decided to leave it off (sometimes less is more, right?).
Yesterday I helped Ashley hang some curtains in her I know why I usually let my hubby do those jobs (because I am an eyeball it kind of gal), they are up and straight, but I am sure Mike would have done a better job ;)
Have a great day!!!

abc~love u...

Happy Wednesday!
I have another Valentine card for you...when Papertrey had their January release, I decided to get the Fresh Alphabet stamp set. I really liked the look of it, and who cannot use another alphabet set, right? I am so glad I got it, because I really {heart} it!!!! I know I have said this before, but the best part about PTI stamps is that you can see exactly where you are AWESOME thing when you are using an alpha set. I also have been using my neglected cuttlebug...I forgot how much I liked it!!!

wild about you...

Happy Monday Everyone...are you ready for a new week?

I hope you had a great weekend*smile* I did the usual stuff, groceries, cleaning, laundry and a little stamping (a girl has to have some fun right?). I was still in Valentine mode, so I have a few more "heart day" cards to share with you this week. I pulled out this stamp set last week, because I had this card idea in my head (but never got to it). Luckily I left the stamp set on my table, and it reminded me, so viola!. I also pulled out my Cuttlebug to give the card some added embossed texture. I also paper pieced the lion's head and popped it up with a dimensional. I was also thinking the perfect line for in side the card Front: wild about you Inside: I'm not lion (ha ha!!! I crack myself up sometimes!).

I am still plugging away at my new PS CS3 software, I used a different color background (to photograph) to help with the color cast...I love a challenge...I will get it eventually!!!!

Enjoy today~thanks for visiting!!!

Supplies used (SU! unless noted): Wild About You stamp set; Whisper White/Regal Rose/Pure Poppy (PTI) cardstock; Regal Rose/Pure Poppy (PTI) ink; Pure Poppy double stitched ribbon (PTI); Cuttlebug Hearts embossing template
